4. I'm Talking Jennifer Lawrence Gorgeous
Author's Note
Please read the end of the story!
The force of the slap sent me tumbling across the room smashing through curtain and into another patients area. I looked up and saw a young girl with a bandaged leg and arm.
"W-hat's going o-on?" Oh god. Of all the beds I could tumble into, it just has to be a kids?
"Nothing–" Before I could finish, the crazy bitch stormed in. And let me tell you, she looked the exact part of a bitch.
"So you're the one who Shawn–my Shawn has been daydreaming about? Didn't know he was interested in walruses!" She hissed, sending splatters of spit onto my face. Didn't know Shawn was into crazy psycho bitched.
"Listen, I have absolute no idea what you're talking about. I don't even know–" God what was with her interrupting people.
"Cut the crap. Me and you both know that you and Shawn have been sneaking around doing god knows what."
"Alessia, lets not do this here. There's a child in the room, for crying out loud!" I said, slowly backing her out of the child's space. There, there we–
"You bloody bitch!" She cried, as she pounced on me.
"Oh my god! What the actual fuck is wrong with you!" I cried. Then I yelped in pain as the bitch grabbed my hair.
"No one messes with me." She says breathlessly. And with that, I sent a kick to her stomach. I heard a bloodcurdling scream, and the hairs on my arm tingled as Alessia raised her hand. God why me... I thought closing my eyes shut.
I braced for the sting but it never came. And as cautiously as I could, I opened my eyes seeing two bulky men with security shirts, escorting a screaming and thrashing Alessia out the door. I closed my eyes in relief. Thank god that was over.
"Meredith!" I perked up. I swirled around until I made eye contact with a pair of green eyes. What did he want now? After all this, after everything, could he not leave me alone?
"Are you ok? Crap, I'm so sorry. Does it hurt anywhere?" He asked, taking hold of my hands.
"Why are you still here?" I muttered, slipping my hands out.
"I wanted to check up on you." He scanned me, and frowned. "Your cheek...I'm sorry."
"You know the least thing you could've done to repay me back, would have been to stay and help me with your psycho bitch girlfriend!" I snapped. His eyes widened as he realized what I said.
"I went to get help."
"But how could you leave me with her? She's your crazy girlfriend, and she freaking attacked me!"
"I'm so sorry! God, Mer–"
"You do not, get to call me that." I said, voice wavering. I got up, smoothed down my clothes and started walking towards the exit.
"Wait, Meredith!" I stopped.
"At least let me drive you home? Please?" I looked out the window. It was 5 km away from here. I had no cell phone, and I couldn't walk all the way back.
"Drive me to my car, and I'll take it from there." I said in a mono-tone voice. Then I walked out.

–Shawn's POV–
The drive was silent and uncomfortable. I sneaked peeks at her, but her eyes were pointed on the road.
I really messed up. What was wrong with me? Why did I leave her alone with Alessia? And what was wrong with Alessia? I've only dated her for a week, and I clearly broke up with her. She was absolutely psycho.
I sighed in relief when I saw her car. Wait, was that a Porshe Panamera? Where did this girl come from?
"Thanks." She said. God why? Every time she spoke, I just wanted to hug her.
"No problem. And I'm really so–" I stopped as she shook her head.
"Are you going to be ok?" She nodded. You must be wondering how it still works, well it's a god damn Panamera! Show respect! Then she opened the door and got out.
I frowned as an icy, cold feeling dawned on me. Not from the weather though.
I sighed. I was never going to see her again.

–Meredith's POV–
It's been 4 days since the incident. I wanted to leave it behind as possibly, try to never think of it. Ever again. So I was going to try today. Carolyn came back today! And since our senior year was starting in officially 2 days, we decided to go back-to-school shopping.
I've also decided to put the expose the cheater project to a hold. I really didn't want to encounter Alessia again. I swear she will have my head. I jumped as I heard my phone buzz.
"Hello? Who is thi–"
"Oh my god, Meri! Hi! How are you!"
"Carolyn? Is that you?"
"Duh it's me! Who else would have such a beautiful voice?" I giggled. People say laughter isa the best medicine, but a dose of Carolyn is what people really need.
"You're back! Holy crap I cannot believe you're back!"
"Pfft. Girl, I'm not just back. Why don't you take a look outside your window?"
"You've got to be kidding me Lynn." I ran to the window and peered down. And there she was, as Carolyn as ever.
I screamed letting out all my excitement. I half ran, half tripped down the stairs and threw open the door.
"Lynn!"
"Mer!"
I laughed and screamed as we pulled each other into a deep hug. God I missed her so much!
"Let me take a look at you!" I said, holding her by the shoulders.
"Lynn, you look absolutely gorgeous! God, is this tan natural?" She nodded. Carolyn was still the same, but she was also so different. Her face was flushed with colour, and her eyes were the brightest I've ever seen them.
"I missed you." She said, pulling me back in for another hug.
"Me too." I replied. We just hugged for a few seconds, trying to soak up everything. Finally, we pulled apart and it was her turn to scan me. And I was pretty sure she wasn't going to like it.
"Oh fuck. Mer, what–what happened to your face?" A crazy psycho bitch slapped me.
"I'm alright. I just uh– slammed into a door!" Honestly, who would actually believe that? Well it is me we're talking about...
"What are you not telling me? What is it?" Sorry. No can do.
"It's nothing. Let's just forget about it." She stared at me suspiciously. "Please?" I added. And I my body sighed in relief as she nodded and gave me a smile instead.
"Ugh, but seriously, did you hire Elmo to do your hair? And your clothes, Mer. All I can say is you need this shopping trip more than I do!" I laughed, and pulled my best friend in for one last hug.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
"Do I really need to change clothes for a shopping trip? I mean what I'm wearing isn't that bad. Right?" I said, pointing at my clothes.
"Ok I'm dead serious. You remind me of Oscar the Grouch wearing that thing."
"Oscar the who?"
"You know, the green guy with hairy eyebrows, that's always in that trashcan? From Sesame Street?" A picture of a giant green pickle with hair came up instead. Ugh.
"Ah ha! I found it! Don't tell me you've never wore this before." She said holding up a light pink elbow sleeved dress. Ahh, that one. My grandmother gave me that dress for my birthday. But I never wore it, I never had a reason to.
"But it's so... tight." I said.
"That's the point! Ok go wear it! Like go!" I tilted my head and frowned at her.
"Please Mer? For me? I mean it is my first day back!" I sighed in defeat. I took the dress and went to the bathroom to change.
"So...any boys that caught your eyes this summer?"
"No, none. None at all." I said quickly.
"Like none? Nope? Zip? Nada?" She said voice sounding desperate.
"Uh uh." I confirmed. I didn't want to tell her about Shawn. Lets just say Lynn isn't exactly one to keep things quiet.
I stepped out of the bathroom and gave a little twirl.
"So? How is it?" I felt uncomfortable as Carolyn's mouth dropped to the ground.
"Is it that bad? I told you I shouldn't–"
"Are you fucking kidding me? Mer, you look like hot. I'm talking Jennifer Lawrence gorge right now." Wait is that even possible? I ran to the mirror.
Wow, I actually did look pretty nice!
"Ok now I know for sure. Your grandma has more fashion sense that you do." She exclaimed. "Just uh, let me fix your hair and makeup." She added.
"Ugh. Only because it's your first day back. But don't over exaggerate it!" I warned.
"Alright! Chill girl!" I laughed. I missed her so much, now she's finally back.
