((I have a couple of days vacation so I thought I would get this book a little further on that it is, it's been bugging me for a while now...enjoy the updates :D ))

"wait...no maybe this is a bad idea...those guys said they would go after all of us" Mini sounded worried and was trying to back track to avoid getting his friends in a potentially dangerous situation.  I kept my eyes on Evan and saw the slight shake of the head which was meant as a warning to not do anything.  He knew I wasn't going to stand by while my friends where being hurt so it was pointless to warn me off doing anything.

"Don't let them rule your life man...if you do that they win" Lui pulled a face and looked at Mini with a lot of confidence in what he was saying.

"Don't worry...you said yourself that you are the one that drew the damsel card so they would target you rather than us...and we'll all be there to keep an eye on you and make sure your safe from goomba's" Nogla smirked.  These guys really wanted Mini to go out clubbing with them, or was it that they wanted to watch Mini and Tyler together to fuel their own entertainment, did they ship their own friends or where they just joking around?

"Oh...great...I...get...a baby sitter" Mini grumbled slowly making us all very aware he wasn't happy with the fact that he was going to be protected by his friends.  I would feel the same way, the difference in this case was that I didn't actually need protecting, these guys were more liable to get hurt than I was.

"you get six dumb ass...all of us will be babysitting your ass" Tyler chuckled but his eyes flicked to me, I knew he knew that I wasn't about to let anyone get close enough to Mini to hurt him.  Mini was all but head butting the table as the waiter turned up to give us our bill, the guy shot Mini an odd look before leaving to deal with the other people in the still packed out dinner.  We all paid our share of the bill and then headed out to a nearby bar where we all sat and had a beer.  I looked at my watch and felt a sudden pang of sadness and jealousy I took out my phone and tapped out a message I wish I didn't have to send.

D - Ev'...Meeting

Evan's phone bleeped, I watched as he looked down and a sudden panicked look spread across his features and he jumped to his feet.  He had obviously forgotten about the meeting he'd had to re-arrange the other day.

"shit!...sorry guys I've got a meeting I have to go to...Tyler I need a quick word with you before I go"  The two of them headed out of the bar and were stood a little way out of the front door, I could see Evan for a couple of seconds before Tyler blocked my view, he looked anxious and I knew he was going to ask Tyler to watch me, I mean it's not like he was going to ask the others now was it? that would be like telling the group he had feelings for me...well for this group it would, most others would just see it as a friend looking out for another but these assholes seemed hell bent of pairing their friends up with each other.

"Should you be drinking while on those pain killers?" I heard Brock asking Mini and turned my attention to the nervous guy beside me.  

"not really, this is going to be my last" he mumbled rolling the bottom of the bottle on the table "it's all soda and juice for me from now on" I could hear a slight slur to his voice the beer was already going to his head.

"Well that just means we have to keep an even closer eye on you tonight" I announced and watched Mini groan and cover his face, I made myself chuckle for appearances sake "oh shit...be right back guys I need to tell Ev' something before he goes"  I quickly got up and made my way to the door.

"tell him to hurry the fuck up with his meeting too" I heard Nogla call after me, I raised my hand so he knew I'd heard him.   I slowed down as I got close to the door and tried to hear what they were talking about.

"Thanks...I just have a bad feeling that if I don't stay with him I might lose him" I knew that tone of voice, Evan was anxious and on the verge of getting emotional.

"Ev' I'll look after him don't worry" Tyler coo'ed obviously trying to calm him down.

"I don't need a damn babysitter!" I growled feeling my anger rising, I was not some helpless little fucker and Evan should know better than anyone of what I'm capable of.  I crossed my arms and glared at the pair of them as Tyler moved so he could see us both.

"Jon..." Evan began trying to defend what he and Tyler were talking about

"I don't need protecting Vanoss" I hissed cutting him off, I hadn't realized I had used his tag until I saw him wince, he hated me calling him by that name if we weren't recording.

"I know...."  

"Then what the fuck Vanoss! You think I'm that much of a pussy?" I didn't give him any time to explain, I was so angry that I wanted to get my point across without the complication of arguing. 

"That's not..."  

"Don't try and deny it I heard you!"  I growled, glaring at the only guy on the planet that knew me.

"Stop being a bitch and let me finish!" Evan raised his voice, he'd finally had enough of me interrupting him. "I wasn't asking him to protect you...I was asking him to watch your back" i felt my anger disappear almost completely.

"and you couldn't have done that with me with here?"  I was starting to feel a little guilty for accusing but the anger was still making my skin itch.

"Is that what this is about?...you're jealous that I wanted to talk to Tyler alone?"Evan sounded mildly annoyed that he'd just figured out that I was jealous.  

"Evan you need to go to the meeting before you're late" Tyler interrupted he was looking through the door behind me "if you two want to fight do it in private...later"  

I turned to look through the door and saw that the guys where getting ready to join us, I turned back just in time to see Evan begin to walk away, I really did feel guilty now, was that what all this was about? was I jealous? I'll admit I was jealous of Tyler in the restaurant earlier but that was because he got to be close to Evan when I couldn't be. I felt a hand fall heavily on the back of my neck and was roughly yanked to the side, I shook off my thoughts as I noticed I was now face to face with a pissed off looking Tyler.

"How would you feel if you thought that you were going to lose him because you can't be by his side?...He's scared Delirious, cut him some slack" the guy was kinda intimidating when he was pissed off and towering over you, he pushed me ahead of him towards the door where the guys were starting to spill out of, I tugged my shirt straight before they noticed I had been man handled, i didn't want them asking questions.  I followed Lui and Nogla down the road towards which ever club they had decided to go to.  I thought about what Tyler had said, I knew exactly how I would feel, I knew exactly what it felt like to have him taken from me because i wasn't there to protect him. If Evan was feeling like that then I was a complete asshole for how I reacted, I suddenly felt sick, guilt was chewing at my gut.

"You ok?" I heard a clipped British accent beside me and turned to see a confused looking Mini walking in step with me.

"I think I just fucked up" I mumbled to make sure only Mini could hear me, I pulled out my phone and tried to decide if I should text Evan and apologize for how I reacted or if I should just make it up to him later when he could see that I was being honest with him.

"how?" Mini asked looking behind us, I could hear Brock talking to Tyler and they were getting closer, I wouldn't be able to talk to Mini about this much longer.

"I accused Ev' of treating me like a pussy when he was just asking Tyler to watch my back"

"Text him and tell him" was all Mini said before changing the subject, letting me know that the guys behind would be able to hear us. "I don't care what you say...that drive here must of sucked ass"

D - I'm an ass, I'm sorry, I'll behave I promise, I love you

"it wasn't that bad...I didn't have anyone complaining about my singing for starters" I chuckled even though I didn't feel like laughing right now.

"Oh God...remind me never to drive with you on long journeys" he giggled and glanced over his shoulder.

"deny it all you want you'd love it and you know it" I realized he was seeing if Tyler was listening in and couldn't help but chuckle.  I had a feeling that Mini was going to be the one in charge in that relationship even though Tyler was obviously the dominant one in the relationship.  The conversation continued for a little while with the two of us talking crap and pretending to argue about the none existent trip we would take together.  Once we got into the club I slipped into my bodyguard mind set and tried to keep Mini close, only letting him get any distance from me when he was with one of the other guys.  Tyler walked passed me and grabbed my arm, pulling me across the other side of the room where we could still keep an eye on Mini.  

 "I need your help... our little princess over there has a habit of giving me the slip, you are the only person in this group who he won't be able to get away from...will you keep an eye on him for me?...I need to know he's safe"  Tyler pleaded, I could see the fear in his eyes at the thought of Mini getting hurt again. I couldn't turn down a friend, let alone a friend who was that desperate for me to help them, even if I was still distracted by what had happened with Evan.

"I'll make sure he stays in your line of sight" I chuckled before looking around to see who might be able to overhear us "I text Ev' and apologized for what I said earlier, he didn't reply though...do you think he's pissed at me?" 

"I think he's in a meeting and will reply when he can" Leave it to Tyler to be the logical one in a time when we were both worried about our partners. 

"I hope you're right"  I sighed and looked over to see that Mini was still in discussion with Brock, it must have been an interesting conversation as Mini seemed to be a mix of embarrassed and annoyed.

"Look on the bright side..." Tyler lent closer making sure only I could hear him "if he is pissed you might get a spanking out of it"  I narrowed my eyes at him and regretted telling him that I was usually the one that bottomed in the relationship.  I bite the inside of my lip to stop myself from telling him I had heard him spanking Mini earlier at the hotel, this wasn't the time or place to get into one of those conversations.

When we all started moving into the main room I glued myself to Mini's elbow, once we had some drinks I pulled Mini over to a table in the corner where I could keep an eye on the whole room.

"why are we in a dark corner?" Mini asked almost sounding like he was complaining.

"we can talk and no one can sneak up on us an over hear" I answered almost instantly, I was only half lying, it was so that no one could sneak up behind us but it wasn't just so we could talk, it was so that no one could grab Mini without me noticing.

"oh...ok...what do you want to talk about?" he sounded suspicious

"You and Tyler"  I decided to get one worry off my mind, I needed to know that two of my friends where ok, that neither of them were being taken advantage of.

"what about us?" he asked defensively

"Is he treating you right?...and by that I mean is he handling you the way you want" I knew I was being very forward and prying into my friends privacy but they knew I was only concerned about them being safe and happy.

"u-um...Yeah" He stammered blushing furiously, he looked up at me and grinned like a kid that had just been told he was going to Disneyland "he's taking care of me" he lent close to my ear "In every sense of the word" 

I couldn't help but laugh partially with relief "good to know..but...are you taking care of him..." I lent close to his ear mimicking him "in every sense of the word"

He almost choked on his drink and gave me a sideways look but the heat that seemed to radiate off him because he was blushing so much told me everything I needed to know.
