Next day

The whole night sanyu couldn't catch even a bit of sleep, so now she was sipping at her coffee to keep her awake but she was equally excited about the fact that she was going to meet rd today, but she was nervous too. Its been an year already since they last saw each other, what was she going to talk to him, was he alright, was he been drinking this whole year, had he picked up any bad habits since then

She shakes her head to clear off all the bad thoughts she has been thinking about him, she finishes her coffee and walks towards the washroom to take a warm bath and then go meet rd

She comes out of the shower and chooses a navy blue dress, so that she presentable but yet not too obvious, she puts on a light makeup, which she was doing happily for the first time in her life, when she first came to Mumbai with her big dream, she had never thought that she would throw away her dream for someone, for someone she would come to love this much but here she was in New York who left the making of her film in a day to come find that one person she would die to meet

After getting ready she walks out of her hotel room and Stanley was waiting for her at the hotel entrance

Sanyu-good morning Stanley

Stanley-good morning mam, where are we going today mam?

Sanyu-to the acting studio

Stanley-the acting studio?

Sanyu-someone told me that rd is working there

Stanley-I don't think so mam, when me and parth sir tried to find him we did enquire there

Sanyu-you guys did? And you guys didn't find him?

Stanley-no mam, I don't think the information is legit mam, we should keep looking for other way to find him

Sanyu looks at him as if she was convinced not to go

Sanyu-should I call peter and confirm it once again?

Stanley-may I talk to him mam

Sanyu-wait, lemme call him

She dials the number but it was coming switched off, she dials for a number of times but she didn't had any luck so she slums her shoulders and walks back into the hotel muttering a "you find a way to find him and tell me"

Stanley(looking at her retreating back)-yes mam

She goes back to her room and lies on her bed and involuntarily her eyes start to water and she slowly wipes her tear, that's when her phone rings and she picks up at thhe first ring on seeing the number, it was peter

Sanyu-hello

Peter-hey, I thought you were coming today

Sanyu-why didn't you pick up?

Peter-I was at my job, my boss is real strict, we are made to switch it off, this is my break time

Sanyu-ohhh, I thought

Peter-that I was messing with you?

Sanyu-mmhmm

Peter-so are you coming or are you coming

Sanyu-I'll be there in 10 mins

Peter-good, I really don't want you to miss him

Sanyu-thank you peter

Peter-thank me when you see him

Sanyu-sure

She cuts the call and again her phone rings,this time it was Stanley

Sanyu-stanley...(before she could complete)

Stanley-mam, I have got some information about rd sir, so I am going to Manhattan, I'll definitely call you if I find it legit

Sanyu-ok Stanley

Stanley-yes mam

She cuts the call and stands up from the bed and asks the receptionist to call a cab for her to The Acting Studio

After 10 mins her cab comes and she sets off to meet rd after a huge gap of one year

It was a 30 min ride to the acting school and as soon as the car stops in front of the 7 story building her heart starts running a marathon, she had no idea what she would say when she sees him, whether he would like her coming to find him, would he be angry at her like all the times...she had no idea about anything

Driver-lady, we've reached

Sanyu-oh...thank you

She gives the driver some money without even counting and starts walking in, she was taking slow steps and after what felt like eternity she reaches the door and the watchman opens it for her and she walks in

She looks at the list and The Acting Studio was on the 6th and the 7th floor, she starts walking towards the elevator when her phone rings

Sanyu-hello, Peter

Peter-did you reach?

Sanyu-I am in the building right now, I am taking the elevator

Peter-perfect, come to the 7th floor, he's there

Sanyu-wait, I thought your friend knows rd

For few mins there was silence at the other end, then she hears someone call

v-pete, what are you doing on the phone, don't you know the rules

pete-I am coming ron, its an emergency

v-is everything ok

she hears a muffled "come fast" and then the line went dead

sanyu-was that rd?

she could feel her heart about to jump out of her chest, thinking about rd being just six floors away from her, she takes a breather and enters the elevator, after what felt like years she reaches the 7th floor and she felt like her heart stopped along with the elevator

as soon as the elevator door opens she finds peter standing in front of her

sanyu-hi

peter-lets greet later, go to the room at the end of the corridor

sanyu-huh? But how do you know him

peter-just go, he is about to leave

sanyu-ok

she starts walking towards the room peter mentioned and her heart again starts beating fast and as she was nearing the room, she could hear him yelling

rd-cmon don, feel it, look into her eyes, she betrayed you, you want to kill her right now but you love her so much to do that, cmon

hearing that she remembers the times when rd would make the new comers at the sets understand the character, upon hearing his voice after a whole year, it felt like music to her ears, she was standing there looking through the glass door at rd, who was instructing a bunch of students, he has grown a light beard and his built has increased, but his face has lost that glow that he used to have back then, now it was showing nothing but gloom, she wanted to run to him and hug him and cry in his arms and then slap him so hard for leaving her and everyone else but she had no courage to do anything like that, rd turns to look at the door but she hides behind the pillar

rd-ok guys, lets call it the day

slowly the hall starts getting empty and and finally there was no one except rd

she muster ups the courage and pushes open the door

rd-pete, where have you been, do you know how long has it been

sanyu-one year

rd stops what he was doing and turns to look at the owner of the voice, there she was standing in front of him, wearing and noodle strap navy blue dress with her hair tied up into a loose bun showing every the every possible skin through that dress, her face has grown even more paler than the last time he had seen her, "wasnt she eating well?" he thought. She was wearing make up which was totally showing off her beautiful features separately, but her eyes they were watering, and her lips they were curved into a smile

sanyu-its been an year(she starts walking towards him)why would you do something this stupid, why would you make us all worry and why would you leave me like this(she hugs him and starts crying)why would you do all this and never turn back to look at me once, why?

He had no idea about what he should say, he never expected someone to find him like this, IF someone ever did, he never expected sanyukta to do that and right now when she was hugging him and crying, he felt like a dam of emotions breaking within him, he so wanted to hug her back, he so wanted to kiss her and tell her that he was stupid to run away from her, his innocent self that has always been craving for love was telling him to tell her that he loves her to his life, that he was himself dying to see her.

He forwards his hands to curl it around her frame but the stops mid air

No he wont do the same mistake of bringing himself to her life, he is out of her life for good, his life has always been damned and everyone who loves him ends up getting tangled in his messed up life, he wont do that to his sanyukta even if it means hurting her, yes he wont do that to her.

Rd(breaking the hug)-excuse me, do I know you?

Sanyu looks at him wide eyed

Rd-I think you've mistaken me for someone else

Sanyu looks at him for a few more mins and then smiles through her tears

Sanyu-I think you are right, I have mistaken you for someone else(wipes the tears)coz the person I knew wasn't was coward.

With that said she turns to leave when peter comes in

Peter-hey hey hey, didn't you find your guy(smiling)

Sanyu-no, he is not him

Peter(confused)-what?

Sanyu-the person I was searing for was brave enough to say the truth out loud, who never cared what others thought of him, who would do anything for his loved ones, but the person standing here(looks at rd) is a coward who left his loved ones to suffer alone, who lies about his own feelings and who doesn't deserves to be loved.

She starts walking again when peter stops her

Peter-hey sanyukta wait

Rd-let her go

Hearing that the anger that was pent up within her bursts out and she turns and walks towards him in double speed and the next thing he felt was a hot stinking sensation at his cheeks, yes she slapped him

Sanyu-that's what you've always done, let me go,(shouts)let everyone go who loves you, do you know something Mr.RSS, you've never loved anyone, you've only loved yourself and the people who love you are fools and I am glad that I am one of them coz I am capable of loving someone who cant love me back and I am capable of loving someone who isn't me.

She turns and leaves from there

Peter-whats wrong with you ron

Rd-why would you do that pete, the only thing I asked you was to not let her know

Peter-because I cant look at you coming drunk every night, and crying over her(pointing towards the door) when you can be with her

Rd-no I cant

Peter-why?

Rd-because she is better without me

Peter-who the hell are you to decide for her? You know what? She is right, you are a coward. A pathetic coward.

He stomps out of the hall and rd just sits down on the chair and closes his eyes to let a tear drop roll down his cheeks.
