Part 3
"Do you have any idea where he might have gone with my car?" I asked Jai, there was no way I was going to let this guy burn my car, not at least without a fight. He might like bullying people but this time he had chosen the wrong person to bully.
"Just a guess, maybe the same place he burnt the last car, he might not be there though." Jai said.
"We won't know unless we go see, take me there, you have a car right?"
"Are you sure you'd want to sit in my car?" He looked skeptical, was his car that bad?
"Honestly Jai, right now I'd sit in anything." I shrugged, he nodded as he led me to his car, once we were there I actually had second thoughts about it.
It was a very old beetle car, and so tiny, seriously if I had another option I'd never sit in this car but well I had to go save my beautiful car so I had no other option.
"I told you, you won't like it." Jai smiled, I smiled back as I got inside and he drove me to the place where Arnav was supposedly going to burn my car, I just hoped I was going to find him there.
Gladly it wasn't a long drive because sitting in this car was a sort of torture, no offense but if someone saw me in this car, it was going to ruin my reputation duh.
"He's here." Jai said as soon we noticed Arnav who had just stepped out of my car, I dint even wait, I rushed out of Jai's car and ran towards him before he could do anything horrible to my car.
"Arnav Stop!" I shouted. He looked at me with a smirk on his face as if he knew I was going to follow him here or something.
"What the hell do you think you're doing with my car?" I asked angrily, seriously it was just the first day and this guy was already getting on my nerves.
"Just what you think." He smirked.
"Dare you touch my car, I promise you'll pay for it badly." I warned as Jai finally joined me after parking his car.
"I like dares." He said, as he grabbed a can of oil or something, he was almost going to pour it on my car.
"Arnav please. It's my favorite car, it was a gift from my mother, it's special to me." I said hoping he would understand, not that I expected him to understand because Jai had clearly told me he was heartless.
"Sentimental values, I see." He said, I looked at him nervously not knowing what he was going to do, I just hoped he wouldn't burn it, if he did I dint even know what I was going to do.
"You know I've never done this before, forgive someone but I think for you I can make an exemption." He said as he threw the can aside and started walking towards me, I could finally take a breath of relief.
I was almost in tears thinking I was going to lose the car, no one had an idea what this car meant to me, and now with this experience I was sure as hell I wasn't coming back to the university with it again, I'd better use another car but not this one.
Who knew if Arnav ended up burning it someday actually?
He stopped in front of me and looked at me very seriously, he was so intimidatingly hot at this moment. Jeez Khushi, he tried to burn your car, put a hold on those hormones.
But this guy had beautiful eyes. They spoke a million words to me even without him saying a word. Have you ever met anyone with such beautiful expressive eyes? If this guy was an actor, he would act with his eyes only and leave everyone spellbound, they were that beautiful.
"If anyone ever finds out that I forgave you, I swear I'll burn that car. Make sure your minion knows that too." He looked at Jai and then at me again and then finally walked away, I ran to check if my car was okay and gladly it was, there was no damage whatsoever.
"Jai." I turned to look at him.
"Don't worry, my mouth is zipped. But this scene today, was strange."
"Why strange?"
"For the past one week, trust me I've seen Arnav do something horrible to a lot of people everyday, he wouldn't let go even a tiny bit of mistake, so it's quite surprising that he let you get away so easily. I mean I don't know him much but as much as I saw in a week and I've heard from people who know him, it's quite surprising." Jai said.
"Maybe it was because this car means a lot to me." I said.
"Arnav doesn't care about anyone's sentiments Khushi."
"Well then let's say he changed today, I don't care and I don't want to think about it, as long as my car is fine. Now let's go home, my first day of college has already been ruined by him." I shrugged.
"You go with your car, I'll follow with mine." Jai said, I nodded as I got inside my car, switched it on then drove off.
I passed by Arnav who was standing outside waiting for his car maybe, as I looked at him, he smirked at me, I just rolled my eyes and drove off, I'd better stay away from this guy, today he almost burnt my car, who knows what he would burn tomorrow.
*****
Once we arrived at my place, I took Jai inside the house and started showing him around, I had already told the kitchen department servants on what to cook so we had to wait for dad to come from work only.
As Jai was busy admiring our huge mansion, I couldn't stop thinking about Arnav, there was something weirdly attractive about him. I mean I'd met a hundred of guys in my life, found a lot of them hot and stuff but I never dated any because that was not something I wanted to do, I always preferred staying single because I thought relationships came with quite some dramas.
I wasn't saying that I wanted to date Arnav, I mean that was the last thing I'd want to do but what he did for me today left me questioning things.
Obviously I dint know him at all, but according to what Jai told me, he hadn't ever let anyone get away with anything, so why did he let me get away? I really wished I could find out somehow but I dint know how.
"So if I'm not being too nosy, why is Aditi so angry on you? You told me she isn't talking to you." Jai asked.
"Well we were the closest friends in school, and then I left town without talking to her, I just disappeared and now that I'm back she doesn't want to see me." I shrugged.
"Then she does deserve to be angry, but maybe all you need to do is open up to her, tell her why you left without informing and try to explain things, she might understand." Jai suggested.
"I don't think anything would make her forgive me right now, she's too pissed, but I also know that she might take time but one day or the other, she will forgive me and until then I'll keep trying and she'll keep pushing me off." I smiled.
"I dint know rich people had such kind of friendships, I always thought it was show off." Jai laughed.
"Well we might be rich and show offs but we are human, we all need genuine friendship and love."
"So you have genuine friendship what about love?" He looked at me curiously.
"Unfortunately I haven't found that yet, mostly because I don't want a relationship."
"Great, let's hope that would change soon." Jai smirked as he continued walking, I was confused for a moment but then it hit my mind.
"Wait. Did you just try to flirt with me?" I giggled.
"What if I say yes?" He smiled.
"Then I'd say nice try, but I don't know you yet, you might be a serial killer." I laughed as I headed downstairs and just then I saw Dad walking in as usual busy talking to someone on the phone.
Dint he ever get tired of talking on the phone?
He stopped when he notice me and Jay, he immediately disconnected the call and looked at me like he was disappointed.
"Since when did you start bringing guys at home Khushi?" he looked at me strictly.
"You can relax dad, he's not my boyfriend, just a friend I made at the university today." I said.
"What happened to your taste in people? You no more sound like my daughter." He looked at me with disappointment and then walked away as he headed to his room. Yup, just the behavior I expected from him, maybe that was why I even became friends with Jai at the first place.
I wasn't usually the one to be friends with random people, but I knew how this would piss off my father and that's what it exactly did.
At least now I'd have his attention, the one I dint have when I was away. He never even tried to find me, or call me and ask me how I was doing, it was as if he dint care at all.
