I woke up to an abrupt girl, pushing me around.
"Wake up," she's screaming, "we've only got five minutes to leave for school."
What's going on, I get up feeling groggy.
"Come on," She's yelling, school starts in an hour and we better get walking.
"Wait, what," I say getting up.
I forgot, this isn't my house. She has control of the situation and we are gonna be late for school.
I quickly run around to grab my stuff and quickly get changed, and before I knew it, we were out the door.
"Took you long enough," she says with a huff in her voice.
I smile as I walk with her to school, following her because I don't know the way from here.
"You walk this everyday," I ask her.
"Pretty much," she says with that same nonchalant voice she always has.
"This is insane," I say to her.
"Well, what am I supposed to do," she says, "My parents are the around to drive me to school and the bus doesn't come out this far."
"Well, if my car gets fixed," I say, "Maybe I can come and pick you up."
She turns around to look at me as we she presses the button so we can cross the intersection.
"You'd do that," she says to me.
"Yeah, sure," I tell her.
Nothing is said except for a quick little hug she gives me as she berries her head into my chest for a second.
The light turned green and we went across the street and walked the rest of the way to school.
