Getting Married?!?!

"Laurence," My mom said on the phone, "Laurence! Are you still there?"
Snapping out of my daze, I spoke back into the phone, "Y-yeah mom, I'm still here."
"Good," she says, "now, my bosses daughter will be over tomorrow to come meet you, and hopefully you two will hit it off."
"But mom-" I'm cut off by hearing a click signalling she hung up.
Lucinda came downstairs just as my mom hung up, and she saw how I looked.
I personally didn't know how it looked, but I felt like I just got stabbed in the heart and watched as it slowly oozed out of my chest.
"Laurence?" She says snapping in my face to wake me up, "are you okay. You look stressed."
"L-lucy," I say slowly, and feeling terrified of her reaction.
She tried to keep a smile thinking nothing bad would happen, but I didn't know how to break it to her.
"Lucy," I said, "I'm getting....." I stuttered with the last part, struggling to sat what I wanted to say, "I'm getting married."
Her confused look turned into one of sadness and fear of losing me.
I quickly run over to hug her as I could tell she was about to start crying.

I can't believe this is really happening.
I sat on the couch downstairs waiting for whoever or whatever was coming today. Lucinda is still upset over everything that's going on.
"Laurence....," she said softly. I only turned my head to answer her question and she just started to cry a little.
"Lucinda," I said walking over to her and embracing her in a loving hug, stroking her hair, "Don't cry, please. You know I can't stand it when you cry."
She just kept sobbing into my shoulder, "but what if she takes you away from me," she saying choking up in between every other sob, "I don't want you leaving me," she just starts full out bawling and I hold her closer.
"Sssshhhhh," I whispered into her ear, "Don't worry, that won't happen. I'm standing my ground and telling her she's not marrying me."
She just kept crying, "you don't know that," she said, "What if you like her more than me?"
"That's not happening," I say moving her head so she can look me in the eye, "I love you, and only you. I'll be damned if anyone takes me away from you." I kiss her deeply, and she still kissed back, her tears still flowing gently down her cheeks as I could feel them stream around our lips.
We pulled away for air, and we just met eyes, and I knew she was thinking the same thing I was.
I wish that none of this would ever happen, and we could just be together, forever, just frozen in this perfect moment before everything wrong takes place and potentially tears us away.
"You promise you won't be with her," she asks, her eyes cloudy from her tears.
"I promise," I tell her, "and if I break that promise, then you can hurt me as much as you want."
"I might just have to," she says with a jovial smirk on her face as she gives a slight giggle.

e both just enjoy a good laugh because this might be the last one for a while.
You know, it's interesting, you never value the things you have more then you do until you feel like it's going to be taken from you forever. The moment my mom said I was to be engaged, it felt like my heart was gonna rip out of my chest to be with Lucinda, because it knew that's where it belonged, with her.
She is truly the light in my darkness, and I don't know what I would possibly do without her. I can't imagine my life without her.
In this purest moment, all we did was just stare at eachother, looking into our eyes, noticing every little crevice and detail of eachothers faces, almost as if it were the first time we did, or like it might be the last time we ever see them.
Our thoughts were broken by the sound of a car door slamming shut, and it sounded like it was in the driveway.
The moment has finally come.
Lucinda looked down and went upstairs. She didn't want to see what was gonna happen incase something happened.
I understood and went to the window, only to see what I'm in for.
The girls car was sleek, and practically new, or looked like it. She either has money or knows how to take care of it.
I looked away from the car and noticed the girl walking up, and she wasn't coherently, bad looking, she looked nice, but not nice enough to take me from Lucinda.
Her clothes looked expensive, almost like she got them fresh off the line, and her hair looked soft and everything. She made her way up the steps and I quickly went to the door. I could see her figure through the glass.
She grew closer and I prepared myself for whatever was gonna happen. The doorbell rang, and this moment of dread begins.

And cliffhanger.
Don't it suck for you guys, and why don't you try and see who is on the other end of the door.
Sorry it's been so long since I updated, I'm still working on whatever I'm gonna do.
Catch'a later guys.
