SIDDHARTH'S POV
Hey everyone, I have some exciting news to share! I'm actually seeing her again today! Let me give you some background information. When I was sixteen, I decided to skip school and explore the woods that surrounded our town. That's when I stumbled upon this incredible hidden spot that I just fell in love with.
I stumbled upon this serene location and was immediately captivated by its tranquility. Inspired to create my own personal retreat, I spent two months constructing a treehouse in secrecy, savoring the opportunity to have a peaceful escape all to myself.
I always thought that my secret spot was known only to me until I saw a parked car in my usual spot. As I ventured deeper into the woods, I stumbled upon a girl sitting by my treehouse, near the waterfall. She had her back turned towards me, and didn't seem to be aware of my presence.
I saw her, sitting with her knees pulled up and her chin resting on her hands. I could only see her profile, but I suspected she had been crying. I didn't want to intrude on her personal space, so I quietly made my way to a nearby treehouse and sat by the window. Her stunning beauty captivated me, and I couldn't help but watch her closely. Her cute button nose and chocolate brown eyes were truly mesmerizing, but I couldn't help but notice the frown etched between her brows. As I sat there, I found myself smiling without even realizing it. Eventually, she left and I wondered if she would return.
For the next two weeks, I made daily visits to my hideout, which didn't seem to be mine alone anymore. However, the girl I had met only showed up on the same date as her previous visit. A month later, I saw her again, looking stunning in a lovely dress and radiating happiness. She had constructed a swing in the woods, but I decided to watch her from my treehouse instead of lending a hand.
Many more months passed and she will visit again today. As I drive towards the hideout, I always make sure to arrive early to avoid drawing attention. However, to my surprise, she was already there when I arrived. Despite my determination to greet her with a smile, my expression turned to concern as I saw her in tears. I placed my hand on her shoulder and sat beside her, ready to offer comfort and support. My heart clenched seeing her like this just like the first time I saw her sad and gloomy.
She flinched as I touched her, but then she met my gaze. Her chocolate-brown eyes silently questioned my identity. She quickly wiped away her tears, appearing perplexed.
SID- Is everything alright? Why were you crying?
There seemed to be a sense of hesitation emanating from her as she contemplated how to respond to me. This was completely understandable, of course, given that we had only just met. However, after a moment of consideration, she decided to go ahead and offer a reply.
GIRL- Just had a few rough days, you don't need to worry. What brings you here?
She raised an inquisitive eyebrow before I eagerly delved into the specifics of my secret hideaway and the intricate details of the tree house I had constructed.
SID-I come to this place every day because it's my special hideaway. I built a treehouse around here. Would you like to see it?
I invited her to join me in my treehouse, and she agreed with delight. As I assisted her in climbing up, she briefly placed her hand on my shoulder and held my hand. I experienced a sudden rush of excitement from her touch, and I wondered if she could perceive the rapid pace of my heart. Despite my yearning for more, I dismissed those thoughts to prevent any discomfort.
Ever since that fateful moment when my gaze landed upon her, I have been hopelessly captivated and enamored. Her presence has an inexplicable magnetism that draws me in, and I am utterly entranced by her every move and gesture. It is as if she possesses an aura of indescribable beauty and grace that leaves me breathless and yearning for more.
As we stepped into the house, she gazed in wonder. It made me happy to know that I constructed it on my own, in a secluded spot where nobody could discover us. I was caught up in my musings when I heard a subtle intake of breath.
My mistake became evident as soon as she laid eyes on her portrait, which I had painted three weeks prior. I was unable to apologize before she noticed.
GIRL- Wow, did you make this painting? It's absolutely stunning!
As I absently scratched the nape of my neck, an unsettling wave of apprehension washed over me. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease at the mere thought of her reaction to the portrait. Deep down, I knew that she wouldn't appreciate it.
SID- I hope you don't mind me expressing myself artistically. I noticed you during your visits, but we never had a chance to talk. Without your permission, I painted your portrait. Please don't be angry, let me explain.
GIRL- I don't mind seriously, but can I take it with me? it is so beautiful.
I just shrugged my shoulders in response and handed her the painting. We sat silently on the bean bags.
GIRL- When did you discover this place?
SID- I was sixteen, bunking school I ended up here in the woods. What about you?
GIRL- Same I discovered it while roaming the outskirts of the city. I thought I was the only one who knew about this place, but I guess I was wrong.
SID- Same here... but why were you crying earlier if you don't mind me asking again?
After exchanging smiles, I finally mustered the courage to ask her the question that had been bothering me and asked again.
GIRL- At school, some girls bully me because I don't have parents. I am accustomed to it, but at times I become exhausted from hearing the same insults directed toward me. I live with my grandmother and every month my aunt takes her for a medical check-up. I came here for some alone time.
SID- Always remember this: you are in control of your own emotions and no one's words can affect you without your permission. Stand firm and let them know their behavior is unacceptable while maintaining your unwavering resilience.
I said looking dead into her eyes, She can't let some stupid and good-for-nothing girls let her cry. She just smiled at me and we went back to gazing at the sky full of stars.
It was surprising how much she revealed about herself, considering our recent acquaintance. However, her eyes betrayed a sense of sorrow, and I was willing to lend an ear. In contrast to the girls at my school who would have deemed me a weirdo for expressing interest in painting them, she was quite distinct.
I was admiring her when she suddenly said she had to leave because it was getting late. We climbed down from the tree house with her painting and said goodbye before she headed towards the road and then turned back to me.
GIRL-Thank you, boy. Making me feel better, you should know that you are going to be my first friend. Would you like to be my friend?
I nodded grinning widely. She just chuckled and walked away.
SID- See you next month beautiful.
GIRL- Next month it is.
At night I barely slept wondering about all that happened today. Today was definitely wonderful. I was lying on my bed thinking about her with a smile on my face. When I suddenly got up something struck my mind. I am so stupid, guys ask me why because dear readers I forgot to ask her name. I am an idiot but nevertheless, I can always ask her next time right? I was eager to know the name of that beautiful girl.
END OF HIS POV
Finally, after months of persistence, Sidharth learned Avneet's name and discovered that she was a nearby resident. Despite their monthly meetings, they bonded over shared stories and interests, and their friendship blossomed into a deep and abiding love. With the gentle strumming of his guitar near the bonfire, Sidharth would serenade Avneet while she regaled him with tales of standing up to her bullies. Sidharth even proudly introduced Avneet to his mother, who already knew her as their neighbor which shocked him. He wondered how he had not noticed that beautiful girl in the crowd. He knew she lived nearby but never visited her place. He thought their monthly meetups were worth waiting for.
SIDDHARTH'S POV
I am en route to the hideout, but I have yet to hear back from Avneet in response to my numerous texts and calls. I am growing increasingly concerned about her well-being. Upon my arrival, she was not present, and she failed to make an appearance at a later time. Despite my persistent attempts to contact her, I fell into an uneasy slumber without any response.
Upon arriving at the hideout the next day, I discovered her in a state of intense crying. This was the first time in months that I had seen her exhibit such an outpouring of emotion. I promptly approached her and tightly embraced her, while soothingly rubbing her back to alleviate her distress. Her head rested on my shoulder as her beautiful eyes continued to well with tears.
I can't bear to see her cry. It breaks my heart. "Please, baby, be okay," I say, trying not to cry in front of her. Seeing her so vulnerable is painful.
AVNI- Sid she... she left me forever.
As she burst into tears, I felt powerless to comfort her.
SID- Who left you, Avni? Tell me, please
AVNI- Granny, I am now a true orphan, she passed away and left me alone. I am a real loner now. She is never going to come back.
She was sobbing and pouring out her hurt in words. I handed her my water bottle, she took a sip and reached out to me. I looked at her puzzled.
AVNI- Promise me, Sid, that you will never leave my side. Please promise me that you will be with me forever.
SID-I assure you that you will never be left alone. I promise that I will never leave your side and will always be with you.
I sincerely took her hand and made a promise. Our eyes locked in a powerful gaze, conveying a multitude of emotions that were difficult to decipher. We were having an eye lock before I could even react, I felt her soft lips against mine, I was too shocked to even reply but when I felt her tongue licking my lips I wasted no time and claimed her lips dangerously close to mine holding her tightly and tasting every bit of her. Her lips felt like cotton candy without sugar. My stomach was filled with butterflies, fireworks exploding throughout my body, and my heart racing loudly. She ran her fingers through my hair, which felt very soothing. It was no doubt amazing. We pulled apart after lack of breath. Her eyes widened in realization as she looked at me.
She abruptly left while I was speechless. Despite calling out, she didn't stop. I went back, wondering if she regretted our kiss. Sleep took me, pondering what she was thinking.
It has been four days since she last contacted me, and she has not responded to my texts. I hope she is okay. Baby, please talk to me. I miss you.
I am currently sitting on my tree house balcony, playing random notes softly on it to calm myself down. Suddenly, I heard the door open and turned to see Avneet running toward me. I placed my guitar on the side table. And approached her. She hugged me tightly and I hugged her back even tighter. I withdrew myself from the embrace.
SID- Are you out of your mind, why didn't you reply to my texts? Do you know how much worried I was?
She placed her lips on mine probably to shut me up, I pulled her closer and kissed her back. Oh God, her lips are so addicting. I was so caught up in the kiss that I momentarily forgot I was reprimanding her. After we pulled apart she bent down on her knees much to my shock she said something I was least expecting at that time.
AVNI- I love you so much, Siddharth. You've been there for me during tough times. You gave me the strength to fight my bullies. I was just a girl with a boring life, you came and added colors to my life. I was just an insecure lonely girl. But you taught me to love myself. I am so grateful you are in my life. You always wonder why I was not shocked after you painted me and even agreed to join you at your treehouse without thinking for once. I knew you and what you are like. Since childhood, I had a crush on you. We used to study in the same school but I left it 5 years ago, you never noticed how much I noticed you. Yeah, I was shocked to see you here and that is the reason I never asked your name idiot.
And last but not least Sid will you be my boyfriend?
SID- I will baby, without any doubt.
I learned so much and was shocked and unable to reply to everything she said but replied to what I wanted to confess for so long. I accepted her proposal although I was so shocked she had a crush on me since childhood. I was a mischievous kid back then and was always being punished. I never noticed anyone actually, always busy with my friends playing around.
I was happy would be an understatement. I wish for nothing more.
AVNI- Sorry, I didn't reply and for running away that day I was just embarrassed and didn't want you to say it was a mistake or something. I would not be able to handle it then. And sorry for the crap I never did propose to anyone so bear with it.
SID- I love you beautiful and always will. By the way, I didn't know why I didn't notice you earlier.
We hugged each other we were like that for some time peacefully silence surrounding us. Moon was the only evidence of our confession in the solitary place.
SID- Move in with me, please.
I could tell she was so shocked by my sudden proposal.
SID- I don't want any arguments, my mom knows about you so don't worry about my family. they will accept you.
She just hugged me and whispered thankyou, I smacked her forehead on that.
SID- You know what Avneet?
She cutely raised her eyebrows signaling me to continue.
SID- You Are THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL Whom I Admired From Afar, You Are THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL who stole my heart, You are THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL who stole my first kiss, You are THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL with whom every moment is bliss. You are THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL who will always be beautiful no matter what. YOU ARE THAT BEAUTIFUL GIRL.
