Twenty Six - Just The Two Of Us
It was ridiculous.
This fucking obnoxious bastard, I swear to everything unholy.
If you wonder whose entire blood line it is I wanted to curse - fucking Jung. Ho. Seok's.
It started on Tuesday, one day after Jungkook's and mine happy little reunion - that fucker turned up in front of my school, leaning against his annoying red car with both his arms crossed in front of his chest, eyes sparkling mischievously under his purple tinted sunglasses.
A washed out, over sized Black Sabbath shirt fluttered around his lean form, black, ripped jeans hugging his thighs tightly. His bright red hair - similar to the color of his car - glowed in the sun light, catching the attention of legit all the girls around him, making them throw glances at him giggling.
He sure did catch a lot of attention with that obnoxious fashion sense and overly cocky demeanor of his.
"Y/N! My girl!" He called out loudly, obvious sarcasm dripping from his fake-happy voice.
"What the fuck to you want?" I snarled, stepping in front of Jungkook who'd followed me out of school like an obedient little puppy.
"What's it look like?" The witch scoffed, "Picking you up from school, obviously."
"And why did you feel that was necessary?" I asked sweetly, irritation creeping up inside of me.
"Dunno." He shrugged, shit-eating grin splitting his annoying face in half, "Solidarity amongst witches?"
I threw a quick glance behind me, seeing Jungkook point at Hoseok confused as if asking 'THAT is a witch?'.
I nodded sighing, before turning back towards Hoseok, who had opened the door to the passenger seat for me, making an inviting gesture for me to enter.
Of course I knew what this all was about; Grandma must've set him to follow me around and make sure that I wasn't meeting Jungkook outside of school - I mean, I figured that she noticed his smell on me, Jungkook wasn't really good at being subtle.
That was why I got in, that day - because I knew that, in order to stay on Gran Gran's good side, I should follow Hoseok's orders. For now.
The problem was just that this utter nuisance stayed persistent for the next days as well.
Each day, he drove me to school and picked me up right after, always coming an hour early to make sure that I wasn't leaving before he could supervise me.
"You sure have a lot of free time, Hoseok-ssi." I stated one day, giving him a dirty side-glance.
The witch snickered amused, "That's true! This is the most fun I've had in years."
I glared at him through the rear mirror, "What a sad existence you have, Hoseok-ssi."
The older witch cocked a brow, "You think so?"
"If the only pleasure you have in life is getting on the nerve of some innocent, young witch then yes - this is sad."
He remained silent, just smiling amused.
But I wasn't done yet.
"Perhaps this is why you were spewing this depressing bullshit about how witches were 'bound to be lonely' and what not. Because you are a lonely person. And you think that every other witch should be lonely as well."
He tried not to show it, but I'm not stupid - I definitely hit a nerve there.
"Whatever you say, kiddo." He mumbled, covering his hurt ego with a cocky grin while spinning the steering-wheel a little too energetic.
So, to sum it up - Hoseok was getting on my nerves, but I was pretty good at returning the favor.
That red haired bitch was pretty persistent, I'll give him that, but the day has yet to come where Jung Hoseok is able to out smart ME of all people.
Yeah, I was really going out of my way to trick this fuckwipe. This was like a pride thing for me.
"You really sure that there is a fire escape up here?" I asked unsure, eyeing down the back side of the school building.
"Of course!" Jungkook exclaimed, looking at lot more excited than I was feeling.
In his mind we were probably having a romantic adventure together or something - I, for my part, was trying to get rid of a very nosy witch.
We were standing on the roof of the school, cold wind blowing the hair out of our faces.
Our plan was to use the fire escape on the backside of the building to leave the school and then hide for some time in one of the private learning niches in the library that was in a separate building.
Sounded good, so far. If we found that god damn fire escape, that is.
I watched Jungkook slowly walk along the low railing, no fear at all on his handsome face while he feverly searched for the steel ladder, that was our only hope left.
The wind whipped his long, dark locks around dramatically, adding to the theatrical look that the pose he was currently in gave him already; One hand rested on the stone railing, body slightly turned away from me as he had a serious expression on his face, brows slightly furrowed while he looked around searching.
I'd noticed the small eyebrow cut next to his piercing this morning, but had been too shy to ask him about it, not wanting to admit that I kept on noticing such small details like that on him.
I'd been so deep in thoughts that I almost didn't hear him shout 'There it is!' and felt a strong hand intertwine itself with my fingers as if it was no biggie and pull me towards the direction of the fire escape.
He quickly climbed down there, ready to make a run for the library, when he halted and noticed that I wasn't with him yet.
"Are you-" He grinned teasingly, "Are you scared, or what?" He shouted up to me.
"Shut up!" I shouted back, taking a deep breath and slowly climbing down that metallic monster.
"There you go." Jungkook praised me when I hit the ground with shaking legs, hand coming up to pat my head with a happy grin.
"You're enjoying this way too much." I grumbled, swatting his arm away.
He snickered, already on his feet to leave for the library, "It's rare to see you so invested like that in something, Bunny! Let me enjoy this, dammit."
The door to the small room closed with an almost inaudible clack.
The learning niche was more like a small, private room (with sound proof walls I might wanna add).
After having closed the door carefully, the shifter turned around to me, taking off his bag in a swift motion, "Sooo let's get into things, Bunny."
I hit him, "Don't make it sound so weird. What do we have?"
He giggled, starting to shuffle around in his bag, "Well, you won't believe this, but guess what-"
He took out a small stack of notes and pictures, "-There's actually a Hiro in our pack."
My eyes widened in surprise and I leaned over the table to get a closer look at one of the photos Jungkook brought.
On it, there were three people - three guys.
"That-" I pointed at the one on the very left, "-that's Yoongi-ssi, right?"
Jungkook nodded.
"Wow... he's so young in here." I'd say that he looked cute if it wasn't fo the large scar running across his face, over his eye.
"That one on the very right, that's Hiro." Jungkook explained, "I don't know about the oldest one - the one in the middle - tho."
I stared at the young man in the picture that was supposed to be my relative. Long, light brown hair that almost reached to his shoulders with bangs covering parts of his eyes. He looked smaller, thinner than the other two, but his smile was the brightest by far.
"So, that's my uncle." I mumbled, tracing my finger over his faded figure, "It's weird. To find out that there's someone else in your family, you know?"
Jungkook nodded, slumping down in the seat right behind me, "I can't even imagine how you feel." His hands encircled my waist, and he pulled me down in his lap, "Thinking that it's only you and your Grandma and then - bam - you have an uncle."
"M-hmm..." I stared at the photo thoughtfully, this must sound so strange to Jungkook, who'd grown up with so many people around him, "So, apparently Yoongi is pretty close to him?"
I felt Jungkook shrug behind me, "I don't know much besides what these photos tell us."
"Should we-" I turned around to him with an antsy look on my face, "Should we ask him?"
His expression fell, the hand he'd drawn patterns into my leg with till now stopping in its actions, "I- uhm- I mean, he did tell me not to meet you again, so it's probably a really bad idea..."
I looked at him pleadingly, pulling out my best puppy-eye look (although Jungkook is a lot better in that than anyone else) hoping to win him over quickly.
He sighed miserably, "I hate you. Let's ask him tomorrow, we've got time on Friday anyways."
"Yes!" I threw my arms up happily
"But you gotta do something in return for me." Jungkook said insistingly.
"The fact that I'm sitting on your lap without complaining is payment enough." I countered, punching his shoulder playfully.
"Ow! Fuck you." He stuck out his tongue childishly, making me realize something I couldn't believe I hadn't realized before.
"Holy shit." I wheezed, leaning back shocked.
He cocked his head to the side, pretty much like a curious little puppy, grip on my waist tightening so that I wouldn't fall off, "What?"
"You've got a tongue piercing. Holy shit."
His eyes widened in realization and a slight blush crept over his face, "Uhm- you know... I was going through this phase and..."
I laughed at him. "That' pretty cool if you ask me, Jeon." I teased, making him grin happily.
"You think so?"
"Of course! Did it hurt?"
"No, it did definitely not hurt when they pierced a hole through my tongue." He dead-panned sarcastically.
"Yeah, fuck you."
He laughed, "Anyways, aren't you curious what the piercing feels like when I-"
"No!" I cut him off, covering his mouth with both my hands, "Don't say it!"
A mischievous look appeared on the shifter's face and I felt a wet tongue lick over the inside of my hand.
"EW!" I immediately pulled back disgusted, trying to get up from that gross idiot's lap.
He laughed out loud, holding me in place firmly, nose crinkling up as he couldn't stop laughing at me.
"Yeah. Very funny. Haha." I scoffed, "Now let me go."
He calmed down a bit, but didn't make a move to let me get up.
"Jungkook-" I said warningly.
"Ah, yes, say my name like that more often." He sighed suggestively.
"Stop it, fucking pervert! Since when are you like that?"
He grinned, "Ever since you're going out of your way to spend time alone with me."
"That wasn't because of you-"
"Uh huh, sure. Keep lying to yourself, Bunny."
I huffed annoyed.
"So, tomorrow at my place it is?" He repeated grinning.
It annoyed me even more that I had to agree while being fully aware of the innuendo of his words.
"Yeah. Tomorrow."
