Fourteen - Fuzzy Minds
I was sitting on the edge of Jungkook's bed, watching the boy put away his school books carefully, as if the rest of his room didn't look like a fucking trash can.
"Good job Bunny," He hummed happily, "We're done here."
"Don't call me that." I argued, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
That little shit ignored me.
He just let out a content sigh and slumped down on the mattress next to me, throwing a nervous glance at his closed door.
"What?" I asked when I noticed his skittish behavior, how he fiddled with the sleeves of his black and white striped sweater (this was my first time seeing him in casual clothes by the way) or how he bit the inside of his cheek.
"Hm?" He cocked his head to the side, "Nothing?"
"You looked like you wanted to say something." I replied, knowing how annoyed I was sounding, though this was mainly on accounts that I had spent a lot more time outside of my safe home than I was used to.
"Well," He laughed quietly, hand coming up to scratch the back of his neck, "I just... uhm, I had a really good time with you today, maybe we could... meet up again after school some time?"
I'm not cold-hearted enough to say this wasn't adorable.
This tall, intimidating looking guy with all these piercings and intense eyes was a blushing mess in front of me, asking me for some kinda date - how could I not melt right on my spot?
"Uhm, sure..." I looked away, "Just... not at my place."
"Why?" He asked teasing, "Do your parents not like male visit for you?"
I punched his arm, "That's not it. Grandma is just weird about... shifters."
"Oh, right." He remembered, looking sorry, "I forgot that your parents..."
I sighed, shaking my head, "Don't. People are always so awkward about it. Just don't."
"Of course." He said and then added a small "I'm sorry".
I already knew what he was about to say when Jungkook hesitantly scooted closer, gaze looking sheepish when he opened his mouth, "Can I scent-"
"Is that really necessary?" I asked, question genuine because, obviously, I didn't feel very comfortable when he was that close.
"You don't have to!" He quickly answered, eyes wide, "I just... I'd like it. You know Bunny, I feel very happy when I'm so close to you. And I really, really like the way you smell-"
"You said that already, weirdo." I interrupted his rambling.
"I know. I'm sorry. I won't ask anymore-"
He looked like a kicked puppy, incredibly sad and disappointed and I couldn't believe the words leaving my mouth the next second, "God dammit, go ahead. Just hurry."
His face lit up in an instant, eyes sparkling as if he just won the lottery and the idiot immediately reached forwards, cradling my head in his hands.
I had my eyes closed, feeling nervous at the direct proximity, not knowing what to do, how to behave right now.
The shifter chuckled, "Relax. It's supposed to be nice for both of us."
I nodded stiffly, not relaxing a bit, pulse exhilarating the closer he came.
Jungkook sighed disappointed, but proceeded anyways, leaning forwards until his nose touched my cheek, traveling down to my collar bone and then up to the small spot that connected my jaw and my neck.
He let out a soft sigh when he gently rubbed his thumb against my cheek, lips ghosting over my neck for a second until he went back up, nose softly rubbing against the soft skin behind my right ear.
I didn't even notice when it happened, but by the time Jungkook was ready I was completely relaxed, body shaking slightly as if I was out of breath.
He remained in that weird hug, face buried in the crook of my neck as I felt him inhale deeply.
I was mildly aware that we were both sitting on his bed, in his room, all alone, but my mind was too fuzzy to overthink in this moment, feeling a small, foreign sense of peace I was not used to having around other people.
What kind of witchcraft is this, a part of me thought ironically.
"Thanks Bunny." Jungkook whispered in my ear, the hand that had been resting on my cheek softly stroking over my face.
"Don't call me that." I protested weakly, earning a small chuckle from the boy.
"I won't..." He replied smiling, "-Bunny."
"Fuck you." I muttered, feeling sleepy all of a sudden.
"It's late." Jungkook noticed after a quick glance at the digital clock standing on his desk, and he got up with a sigh, pulling me with him, "Come on, I'll bring you outside."
I nodded quietly, following the shifter out in the corridor.
We had barely made it downstairs when an obnoxiously loud voice echoed through the rooms, "Y/N be smelling a lot like Jungkook now!", being immediately answered by a "oooooh" coming from four different rooms simultaneously.
Jungkook sighed deeply, eyes looking as if he was ready to coming murder.
"You'll find the way alone?" He asked gloomily, "I have to take care of someone."
I snorted, nodding with an amused expression, "Go off."
He nodded, apologizing quickly before storming into the next room, shouting "Seonghwa! Come here!"
I stood there, in the empty corridor, for a moment, listening to the bickering and shouting coming from several rooms of this utterly chaotic house, snickering quietly.
What an exhausting bunch.
I proceeded to walk to the entrance door, ready to make my way home when I heard my name form the room next to the entrance.
"--a lot like Y/N. You know what that means." This was the pack leader's voice.
"We shouldn't be jumping to conclusions." That Namjoon talking, without a doubt, "Hiro left too early to be saying anything for sure."
"I know, I know," Yoongi answered, "I just have a feeling..."
I hadn't meant to eavesdrop, really, and I was deeply regretting it when Yoongi stepped out of the room, eyes immediately narrowing down on me, "Hello Y/N."
"Hello Yoongi-ssi." I replied embarrassed, bowing quickly.
"What do you think about this place?" He asked, expression unreadable.
"Well- it's very chaotic." I admitted.
Yoongi laughed fondly, eyes forming small crescents that made him look a lot younger, a lot less intimidating than before. I liked laughing Yoongi, "You're definitely right, this bunch is quite a handful."
He quickly trained his expression back into a neutral one, eyes radiating warmth now, "Do you know about the connection between witches and shifters, Y/N?"
How did he know-?
"Y-Yes." I replied, caught off guard by this question.
"Good. Because I really hope that you and our bratty little pup can revive this bond."
I opened my mouth to answer, but closed it quickly, like a goldfish, not knowing what to say.
His lips twitched upwards and he hummed, "Have a good night Y/N."
"G-Good night." I stuttered, bowing again before turning around jerkily, stepping outside.
This Yoongi was one intimidating man, that was for sure.
But... what did he mean by 'reviving this bond' and how the fuck did he even know I'm a witch?
I shivered when the cold night air hit me, wrapping my arms around my body.
