James Rhodes- All right, lets do this.

War Machine stands ready with his arm-mounted machine gun, and Corvus Glaive appears out of the hologram and charges towards him. War Machine's machine gun shoots rapidly at him, but the bullets don't seem to do him any harm.

James Rhodes- Tony, what's this guy's armor?

Tony Stark (comms)- Scanning.

Corvus Glaive swings his glaive (spear) towards War Machine. Rhodes barely evades the fatal blow, and pushes back Corvus with a repulsor blast.

Tony Stark- Its an unknown material...its tensile strength is equivalent to... Vibranium? Rhodey, you must pull back, right now!

James Rhodes- Its the endgame, Tony.

Tony Stark- What are you doing RHODES!!

Corvus Glaive stabs War Machine's power source, the arc reactor. War Machine gives him a full roundhouse punch.

War Machine- That was satisfying.

Corvus attacks him with a spinning dance of his glaive, and War Machine's suit starts to break and tear off. War Machine tries to launch a missile, but Corvus cuts it just when it was launched, causing it to explode and throw them both backwards.

War Machine's face mask comes off. He is bleeding and burnt. 

Tony Stark (comms)- Come back Rhodey. Its not worth it.

James Rhodes- It is for me, Tony.

Steve Rogers- I am going in.

Tony Stark- I have patched up your shield with nanites. Its not as strong as vibranium, but that's the best we got for now.

Steve Rogers (picking up the shield)- It will have to do.

Nebula- You need to break his glaive. Its the source of his strength. 

War Machine's suit tries to envelope Corvus Glaive, but he cuts it into pieces before they can attach themselves to him and explode.

Corvus Glaive- You have won my respect, human.

Corvus Glaive- But you haven't won the battle.

He stabs James Rhodes in the chest.

Steve Rogers & Tony Stark- NOOOO!!

A tense moment passes in the spaceship. Captain America is about to go down again.

Tony Stark- Captain, maybe we should think this through.

Steve Rogers- What do you mean?

Tony Stark- Our plan is failing. We need a new one.

Steve Rogers- I have a plan. Attack!

Steve Rogers drops out of the spaceship. Tony Stark is baffled.

Tony Stark- Did that just happen?

Captain America drops to the battlefield, and immediately starts attacking Corvus Glaive. But Corvus is just as relentless, striking rapidly with his glaive and forcing Steve to defend. He cuts through the patched shield in half, but Captain America grabs the two pieces and continues attacking. Corvus spins his glaive in front of him to form a lethal shield, and Captain America has to move backwards.

Steve Roger- You shall pay for this.

Corvus Glaive- I already have.

Corvus Glaive inches closer with his spinning shield towards Captain America, who has now been pushed to the boundary. Behind him, a gladiator from Grandmaster's troupe is engaged in fighting a metallic dog/wolf, like the ones that had attacked Wakanda.

Steve Rogers times the moment, and dashes towards Corvus Glaive, but just at that moment Corvus stops spinning his glaive and swerves away, causing Captain America to fall to the ground. Corvus rapidly swings and tries to strike him, but Captain America rolls away, just in time. Captain America throws both of his half shields towards him, one of which gets stuck just below the tip of the glaive. Corvus snarls.

Steve Rogers jumps up and leaps on Corvus, but he again dodges it on time, causing him to fall to the ground once again. Captain America is tired and hurt. This time, he barely manages to dodge Corvus' blade, which cuts his right arm. 

Tony Stark- Something is not right.

Steve Rogers doesn't back down though, and punches Corvus with his left arm. He then kicks Corvus' arm, which causes the glaive to drop. Steve Rogers quickly picks it up and slashes Corvus' arm.

Steve Rogers- This is for Rhodes!!

Steve Rogers rapidly charges with the glaive, but Corvus steps to the side and grabs Captain America's wounded arm, which causes him to cry out in pain and drop the glaive. Corvus pushes him away, and grabs his glaive.

Corvus Glaive- Don't touch my glaive ever again.

Coruvs and Steve run up to each other. Steve aims a power packed punch, but Corvus blocks it with his claw-like hands. He then stabs Steve in the chest.

Corvus Glaive- An opponent's respect to you, Captain.

Corvus Glaive- But Thanos rules all.

Corvus sinks the glaive deeper into his chest.

Steve Rogers seems near dead.

Suddenly, his eyes open, with a new light in them.

Steve Rogers- I once said...that... I could do this all day.

Corvus Glaive- How do you feel about that now, human?

Steve Rogers- The day ain't over yet.

Steve Rogers grabs the glaive and breaks it into half, hitting Corvus with the handle. The blade is still inside his chest. Corvus seems to pale, and tries to attack Steve, but he easily blocks and stabs Corvus in the center. Corvus vanishes, and in his place is a hologram of Cull Obsidian.

Nebula- I'll go in.

Tony Stark seems to hallucinate Steve Rogers saying "You could have saved us, Stark." His eyes go to the broken Vibranium shield on the ground, and the dead bodies of his comrades. But in reality...

Steve Rogers- Switch...challengers...

Steve Rogers is teleported to the ship, and Nebula lands on the battlefield.

Tony Stark- You got any meds on this ship?

Talos- Even the best of skrull doctors won't be able to repair this wreck.

Bruce Banner- He has survived worse than this. Trust me.

Tony Stark- We can't lose him too.

Tony Stark- For Rhodes.

Tony Stark shoots a stream of ice from his suit's hand, which seems to stem the blood loss. 

Bruce Banner- The blade is still inside him.

Tony Stark- We must get him to Wakanda.

Rocket (sniffing)- We should just pack our backs and go home...we have lost too many today.

Bruce Banner- Where's Nebula?

They look over the window, and see Nebula desperately fighting Cull Obsidian, a dark hulk-like figure whose one blow was sure to rip her to shreds.

Rocket- Hey, come back here! We are not leaving without you!

Nebula doesn't seem to respond, and continues in the one-sided battle. Her punches and stabs seem to do little to no damage, while she continuously dodged Cull Obsidian's gigantic smashes.

Tony Stark- Nebula you must retreat. If not for yourself, then for those who couldn't come back.

Nebula seems affected, and there's a moment where Cull Obsidian would have almost smashed her into oblivion.

Nebula- I retreat.

 The remaining avengers and allies: Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Rocket, Nebula and Steve Rogers, and the wkrulls and infinity bots make their way back to Wakanda.

ON TITAN

Thanos- So, the challenge isn't over yet.

Maw- They made their way till Cull Obsidian.

Thanos- They won't make it farther.

Thanos- And if they do...

Thanos- They'll have to face me...their oblivion.
