*on the previous chapter*

"Ok..." I simply say as I stand up to exit her room

"Ok? Where are you going? We're not done talking" she said as she grabbed my arm making me face her

"Isn't that what you wanted to hear? Ok. I understand. You wanna be independent and that's totally understandable. You have all the right to leave, and you will. Perfect, Ash" I said. After that, I left the room...

ASHLEY'S POV:
What just happened? I'm so confused. I mean, I understand that he feels a little down but he just seemed to be overly upset....

*next day*

"Good morning!" I say to everyone in the table

"Good morning, Ash. How are you doing today?" Said Johann's dad

"Good morning, sweet heart. Come sit down with us. You must eat before you go to school" said Johann's mom

"Hii, I'm fine, thank you. And fine, I'll eat but it must be quick, I have to get early to school" I replied

Johann didn't say a single word during the whole meal. I'm starting to get worried about him...

We all finish the meal and as soon as we were done I see Johann heading to the door and getting in his car.

"Um... do you know what's wrong with him?" I asked Johann's mom

"Not a clue, sweetie. He's been like that since last night." She replied

"Hmm... well thank you so much for the meal, it was lovely" I said

"Any time, love! Have a nice day!"

"You too!"

I get out of the house and notice that Johann is still in the car. I wonder if he's gonna take me to school, since he's so moody...

There's only one way to find out..

I head to his car and knock on his window

"Um.... hey"

"Hi"

"Are you... gonna take me to school? It's fine if you don't want to, I-I understand. I can just walk."

"You're not gonna walk. Get in the car" he replied firmly

I'm low key glad he said that cause there was no way I was gonna make it to school walking, therefore, my foot still hurts a bit, and I should avoid walking long distances

"Um... are you ok?" I shyly asked him

"Why wouldn't I be?" He firmly replied

"I don't know, you just seem sad..."

"Hm"

After that, the car was completely silent throughout the whole ride.

At last we got to school

"Um.. well... thanks for the ride" I said

"You're welcome"

"Well... bye" I said as I went in for a hug but the hug wasn't reciprocal

"Bye" he said

I don't think I've ever seen Johann this upset since the whole situation with my parents' accident... It saddens me to see him so down..

"Ash....Ash..... pssst.... Ash!"

I look around trying to find the person that's calling me but I didn't see anyone

All of a sudden I feel someone poking my shoulder

"Kevin?" I say as I gasp in fear

"Shhh don't-don't scream, Ash. Come with me"

"No! Just leave me alone! Are you still not satisfied with everything that you did to me?!" I say desperately and in frustration

"Why did you leave me, Ash? Why? Come back Ash, come back!" Kevin said as he cried

"You're drunk, just leave me alone!"

"Leave you? You're the one that left me! I didn't want to do that, Ash. But you didn't leave me any other choice"

"Stop! Just stop! I don't wanna hear anything that you have to tell me! Just leave! Please" I say as I run into the bathroom, lock myself in a stall, and just start crying." 

Kevin and I had an ugly past and he just keeps reminding me everything that happened every time that he randomly pops out of nowhere. It took me the the LONGEST time to get over it, all of that pain was added with the death of my parents and I just went through a very ugly depression phase.

No one ever knew what happened, my aunt took me to psychologists but she just thought it was all because of my parents' death. But I don't wanna keep thinking about that or anything related to that. I wanna start all over from scratch. I wanna get over everything and just be me.

I've spent a good 20 minutes locked in this bathroom stall until I get a phone call from Ari.

- "Ash?"

- "What?"

- "What do you mean what? Class starts in 3 minutes and you're still not here" she said

- "Oh.... yea" I reply as if nothing mattered

- "What? Are you ok? Where are you?"

- "Here"

- "Where's here?"

- "In school"

- "Tell me exactly where you are, I'm going with you"

- "In the bathroom"

- "In the bathroom? O-Okk I'm on my way. Don't you dare leave"

I simply just hung up. I wasn't feeling any well. I just wanted to go home.

"Ash? Where are you?" Says Ari as she enter the bathroom

"I'm here"

ARI'S POV:
I saw a stall door open and there she was. Sitting on the floor, staring at nothing

"What happened to you?!" I say in a worried tone

"Nothing" she replied

"What do you mean nothing? You're worrying me, Ash. Listen, I hope you know you can trust me ok?" I said

"Yea"

"Now tell me. What's wrong?" I ask her once again

"Kevin"

Kevin? Again? What's going on between these two?

"Kevin? W-what do you mean? What happened? What did he do to you?"

"He didn't lay a finger on me if that's what you mean. We talked" she said, still staring at nothing

"Annnd what did he say?"

She finally gets back on all of her senses and stands up

"N-nothing. Don't worry about it. Really."

"What? No, of course I worry about it"

"Then don't. Trust me. I'm fine, now lets go to class." She replied like it was not a big deal

Kevin has been getting on my nerves with this Ashley thing. But don't worry about it, he's gonna hear me out

"Um.. y-you go ahead of me, I'm gonna go to the bathroom and then I'll be there."

"I can wait for you if you want" she said

"No no no, it's ok. You've been late for two days straight. Don't wanna make this a pattern haha. I'll catch up with you as soon as possible" I tell her

"Oh um.. ok then. I-I guess I'll see you in class"

I go outside and start searching everywhere for Kevin

"Kevin! Kevin!..... I know you're here! Just come!" I yell in anger

"Ari?" He says as he walks towards me tripping every step on his way. He's clearly drunk

"What is you're problem?!" I say as I start crying and hitting his shoulder which didn't really do anything since he's too tall and strong

"W-what do you mean?"  He says

"Ashley! What's you're problem with her? Why are you always after her?! Why have you always been after her?!" I yell

"Shh shh shhhh dial it down. Listen, that's none of your business, Ari"

"Of course it is my business, it's all my business. You always had feelings for her, didn't you? You never stopped liking her?" I tell him as I continue to cry

"L-Listen Ari, leave me alone. You're always in my way. Jesus, so annoying" he said

"How could you say that?! I can't believe you right now. You've practically become an alcoholic ever since she left the school!"

"Ari, I don't have time for your complaining. Just leave me alone ok. Now please get out of my way before I get mad." He says as he walks by me lightly bumping his shoulder with mine
