Courtney's pov!

It was finally lunch as I walked into the cafeteria and walked over to my usual table with Gwen, Trent, and Duncan. I smiled and took my usual seat next to Duncan, then I noticed Gwen and Trent holding hands... again, I mean of course they would but it always made me feeling.. werid I have no idea why..

There was a sorta awkward silence then Trent spoke up. "So, me and Gwen have something awesome to tell you guys!" Trent smiled and Gwen nodded smiling brightly, her smiled was so beautiful- ugh- "WERE DATING!" Gwen and Trent exclaimed in unison as my throat started to hurt.

Duncan just nodded before saying "Cool." And just looking at me with a sad smile "That's.. great congratulations!" I said congratulating the two as my throat started to hurt a bit more. Eh I guess I'll just keep it to myself if it gets worse ill tell or text Duncan.

We talked about random little things as we ate lunch, then the Bell rung as we all sighed and got up going to our locker and grabbing our things for our next classes.

Time skip to the end of school

I started to walk home but my throat continued to hurt even more so I just held my throat until I got home. I unlocked and opened the door stepping inside and walking to my room flopping on my bed sighing which was quickly covered up by coughs.

I coughed a couple more times maybe I was getting sick? I held my throat but then I coughed up a petal?! I started to cough up more flower petals as I held my throat. I hurt, a lot  most of the time there was bits of blood with the petals. So I decided to text my best friend. Duncan.
