hi here i am doing a ranking because i'm absolutely obsessed w this show and s3 premieres tonight sooooo woop woop

this idea is 100% inspired by lila (eImstreets) her many ranking chapters that i enjoy reading <33

i was gonna do top ten but then i couldn't narrow it down, so i said top fifteen, but i couldn't narrow it down so now here i am with a top twenty lmao

nancy drew is such and underrated show that people keep sleeping on!! i was one of them but my mom basically forced me to watch it so my obsession is because of her thank you mother

if you follow me on twitter you know i literally never shut up about this show everything about it is just so top tier

and the entire purpose of this is just for me to vent, rant, and talk about these characters i love so much

anyways lets get on w this!!

20. CELIA HUDSON

yes seeing celia on this list may be a suprise to people who watch this show... but idk what to tell you i really enjoyed her scenes second half if s2

maybe large part due to i liked "memory loss" celia because i thought she was so nice and the way she treated nancy was so great i wanted a better family relationship for those two </33

19. LAURA TANDY

what can i say, i love a girl rich mean girl

she was funny! yeah she pissed me off sometimes but in the end she only wanted justice for her sister's murder

also she wanted to take down the hudson's and i hate that family so she deserves her spot on this list!!

18. LISBETH

question #1, where tf did she go... ??

one of my number one pet peeve's in shows is when they do "open ended" break ups and we don't actually get to see the characters end the relationship and that's exactly what they did with her and bess

i thought she was cool, she was nice, she worshiped the groud bess walked on (as she should) so idk why they got rid of her:/

there is someone i ship bess w more but i'll get to that later

anyways lets bring her back for s3!

17. CHEIF MCGINNIS

he helped save ace's life. that gives him an automatic spot on this list.

but also i did enjoy his scenes (way better than the detective we have now smh) and liked his dynamic w the drew crew

idk why his time on the show was so short lived :/

16. TIFFANY HUDSON

ik we didn't really get to see her character since the series literally starts out with her d*ing but...

she was trying to take down the hudson's and i already said i hate that family! (more so everett and ryan)

so... go bad b*tch go bad b*tch go <33

15. JESSE FAN

i love her!! her relationship w george is so cute i'm a sucker for good sibling relationships

i want her in s3 i want her to go on adventures w the drew crew and so we get to see overprotective george

14. OWEN MARVIN

he deserved so much better!! he was just genuinely a good guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time ):

he really did care for nancy and while they weren't my fav nancy ship i liked them together and thought they were great

he was willing to do anything for her and i'll forever be bitter about him d wording

13. KATE DREW

i hate the way the show lowkey tried to make carson and kate the villians for just honouring lucy's dying wish

she was a good person!! a good mom!! she took in nancy no questions asked when she literally could have handed her over to the hudson's whenever but she didn't

she really tried to help lucy and that entire backstory is just so sad ahhh

i know in almost every version of nancy drew, kate is always dead but idc give me one where she's alive please ):

12. GRANT

i wanna see him back in s3 please!!

we were robbed of seeing what a good brother relationship between him and ace would've been like

i mean grant literally left a witness protection just to go meet him... he put himself in danger just to go meet ace...

also the very last scene with him ace and their dad always makes me cry

like the fact that he grew up thinking that his dad abandoned him only to find out he never knew he existed and the emotional meet up after... i can't

11. HANNA GRUEN

someone please give this girl the raise for all the bs the drew crew puts her through, giving very deaton from teen wolf

i don't know i don't really have much say about her but she's very high up on this list so i do like her lmao

10. AMANDA BOBBSEY

get her away from her weirdo brother PLEASE!!

amanda deserves so much better i love her this is my daughter i will protect her i will defend her from any online hate i see leave her alone weirdos

yes i know we all want nancy and ace together and technically she's in the way of that but i don't mind her an ace together i think they're kind of cute

are they my favourites? no, but i enjoy their scenes

i know it's going to hurt when ace eventually leaves her to be with nancy but i will be there to protect her amanda i love you <33

09. ODETTE LAMAR

i know she's a ghost but i want her resurrected NOW

her "date" with bess where they went skating and she held bess' hand and got all emotional saying "back in my day we would've been killed for this"

oh wow... my heart...

i know she was eventually going to have to go away and go back to being a ghost or whatever considering her and george are still connected but i want her to come back to life and be with bess i don't care!! they can happen because I say so!!

08. LUCY SABLE

the literal definition of deserved better.

yes lucy being this high up may not make sense because she's a ghost for majority of the first season, i don't care i love her

her entire backstory literally makes me sob she did not deserve all of that she was literally bullied by a grown ass man... at 17... while pregnant!!

i know i love the entire dynamic of the drew family like i love kate,  i love carson, i love nancy, but i'll forever be mad that lucy was robbed at the chance to raise her own daughter

07. TOM SWIFT

the fact that he was only here for one episode and ranks so high for me...

he was so funny i don't care almost every line this man was said had me cackling

also i've been hearing that he may be getting a spinoff... yes please!!

loved the end of the episode where he (kind of) stood up to his homophobic dad by posting a picture of him and ned kissing, i love that for him

06. NANCY DREW

yall may be suprised to see the main/title character ranking so low for me

let me get this straight i love nancy i love her with all of my heart but only because i hated the way she treated carson when she found out he wasn't her biological father is

she was so rude for no reason and i understand she need a time to adjust and yes he could've told her anytime but like... girl... this man CHOSE to raise you, he could've dropped you off anywhere but he raised you and loved you unconditionally let's calm down

but all that aside i love nancy i love that she's aged up now (i think she's around 19 or 20?) but still doing the whole girl detective thing it's fun i like it i like her for her

05. CARSON DREW

when i say best tv dad, you say carson drew!!
look at this gif of him he just looks so hugable ahhh i love him sm

literally this man takes the cake for the best TV that i've ever seen in my entire life!! he is so caring and thoughtful and interacts with every member of the drew crew like he's their real dad (i esp love his scenes w ace!!)

yeah like i said before, i think he deserved better than the way nancy treated him but i'm glad they're back on track now

04. GEORGE FAN

my fav always angry prickly restaurant owner

i love seeing seeing her grew from how she was in the pilot, to how she is in the season two finale. she has so much character development!! i love that!!

she's literally running a restaurant while technically being a mother to her three little sisters, one of the strongest characters

my entire life i was always a hard-core nancy and ned stan, but this show made me change my mind!! i'm am all about george and ned i don't care they're the endgame they are my favourite ship of the show if they do not end up together i will be rioting!!

03. NED NICKERSON

just wanna say going forward that i will not be calling this man nick... i grew up with him as ned and he will always he ned to me idc

oh i love him i just want to hug him

such an underrated character of the show i feel like he's barely talked about!! when he's one of the best characters!!

he puts everything on the line for the drew crew he literally uses the money that tiffany left for him to help them all the time

maybe i'm biased since i always love pretty much any version of ned, i had since childhood and i always will sooooo... idk

02. BESS MARVIN

my fav lil former klepto <33

literally from the moment i saw her when nancy was making her rounds doing her little introductions of everybody (with the voiceovers) i immediately turned my mom and was like she's my favourite

it's no surprise if you know me you know my favourite types of characters are usually the very girly ones sometimes, the bitchy ones, etc

i love that this version of nancy drew made bess a lesbian (side note the scene where ace realizes that she was into lisbeth makes me cackle every time i love them and the "platanchor" scene between them gets me <33 best nancy drew friendship!)

she was my favourite nancy drew character in the books, so it makes sense that she would be my favourite in the show

even though she may not be my number one favourite (due to someone else taking that spot) she always has a special place in my heart!! bess marvin, i love you <33

01. ACE

I LOVE THIS MAN. I REALLY DO.

when i first saw him in the pilot, i did not expect to love him as much as i do now!!(although it only took two episodes for me to be 100% in love with him)

he was the one i was kind of sceptical about since he wasn't one of the og book characters and he was just kind of written and thrown in there by the show writers, so i had automatically assumed that he would be my least favourite of the drew crew... and boy was i wrong!!

he's so funny, his one-liners are great, he gives me such steve harrington energy (who's my #1 fav comfort character) so maybe that's why i like him so much...

i would love it if the show would give him a damn last name!! i'm tired of just referring to this man as ace, i would like a last name for him (or maybe revealed that he's a hardy boy...)

anyways that's all i have to say, stan ace (hardy)

maybe it's a suprise to some that ryan hudson isn't on this list (he's certainly one of my mom's favourites... idk why tho ew) but let's not forget the show literally opened up with him having a secret "relationship" with an underage girl!! george was 17!! he groomed her and she basically said so in the s1 finale!! so let's stop praising him please <33

if you haven't seen this show pls do yourself a favour and go watch!! it's genuinely one of the best shows i've ever seen and is even in my top 10 list of favourite shows ever now
