One day at the base, everyone would witness Ratchet being a protective mother. (Ratchet is a female after Nightmares)

It was a stressful day at the base, but two twins tried to help. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe decided to ask Ratchet to pull pranks in an attempt to cheer everyone up and be less stressed.

"Sideswipe! Sunstreaker!" Megatron's angry voice rang out. The twins instantly felt worried, especially when the male marched out. He was covered in blue glitter, purple slime, and some chicken feathers.

"What happened to you, Megatron?" Jack asked. "The twins decided to go on a pranking spree and pranked all of us." Megatron growled. The twins walked up to Megatron and tried really hard not to smile or laugh.

"You two worthless twins ruined everything! Like you usually do! You always mess everything up!" Megatron screamed. "We just wanted to help." Sides whimpered. "You can't help anyone! You're useless!" Megatron screeched.

Sunny and Sides started to cry softly from those harsh words. "You're just like Ultra Magnus. Always screaming at us. If you want us to stop, we'll leave." Sunny stated. "Good. No one wants you around anyways." Megatron spat.

That broke the twins' hearts. Ratchet's head snapped up at hearing Megatron screaming at her adopted sons. She stood by her sons sides and glared at Megatron. "I know you just did not scream at my kids." Ratchet stated.

"I yelled at them, yes. But look what they did to me and everyone else here." Megatron replied. Ratchet blew her lid. "They were trying to help!" Ratchet shouted. "What do you mean?" Smokescreen asked.

"They were depressed that everyone had time for something or someone else except for them! They knew how stressed everyone was and just wanted to cheer everyone up! They wanted to make everyone happy and less stressed! That's why they came to me! I agreed because we are stressed!" Ratchet yelled.

"You gave them permission to prank us?" Miko asked. "Yes, I did. They were only trying to cheer us all up! Heck, even Magnus appreciated some of their pranks! And that's saying something!" Ratchet replied, still refusing to calm down. She knelt by her heartbroken kids.

She pulled them into a hug. Everyone realized that Ratchet was right. They had time for everything and everyone else except for the twins. "Even the humans appreciated the pranks! I saw all four of them laughing as soon as they got pranked!" Ratchet glared. She gave Megatron 'the glare'. The silent but deadly mother glare.

"I loved my prank." Wheeljack stated, truthfully. "As did I." Bee agreed. "Me too." Starscream smiled. The twins looked up, tears flowing down their faces. Ratchet rubbed her sons heads in affection and love. Sideswipe was the first to start purring, soon followed by Sunstreaker.

Ratchet smiled warmly at her purring sons. Megatron apologized to the twins so Ratchet didn't beat him to a pulp. The twins stood up and hugged the former Deception in forgiveness.

Ratchet stood up and faced Megatron. "If you ever scream at them again, you'll be picking yourself up off the floor. If I feel nice enough to even let you do that. Understood?" Ratchet growled. "Yes." Megatron nodded fearfully. "Good." Ratchet smiled.

After that, everyone lived happily.
