Elton!

Y/N's POV

I just walked in after a rough conversation that I never want to relive. I sighed once I closed the door in relief and walked in the living room before throwing myself down on the couch. I was able to keep it together for about 30 seconds before breaking down into a muffled sob as my hands flew to my mouth. I hid my face in my hands and brought my knees up to my chest and just sobbed.

After a few minutes the front door opened and I heard Elton. I rushed to wipe away my tears and I turned on the TV to make it look like that I was busy. He walked in being his usual cheery self as I sat there, crouched on the couch with my hand covering half of my face. He gave me a worried look. "What happened?" He asked, quickly walking over and sitting beside me, "What do you mean?" I asked, trying to make my voice sound normal and not scratchy. "You've been crying. I have eyes Y/N, I can see you're upset." He replied and I let out a shaky breath and I felt the lump in my throat become even bigger. "I just broke up with my ex." I mumbled, moving my hand away from my face as a tear rolled down my cheek. "Y/N..." He whispered. "It's not your fault Elton, it was probably mine." I replied in a sad voice as my gaze dropped to the ground. "It is not your fault, or mine. Come here, I have you now and you're gonna be okay, you'll always have me and I am gonna make sure no one hurts you again." He replied as he pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around me. I gave a small smile and snuggled into his chest. "Thanks Elty." I mumbled as I looked up to meet his eyes. "You're always welcome N/N." I smiled and then rested my head on his chest, feeling a little better and that I could get through the break up, with Elton by my side.
