Back to Sky's POV now.

          The crowd went crazy, cheering and yelling. Caleb tried to get up on his chair to act even more crazy but I pulled him down. "Calm down Caleb, jeez." I told him. He stuck his tongue out at me teasingly.

          I just rolled my eyes and turned back around as Mr. Gills quieted everyone down. "Welcome to the Capitol everybody! I hope your journey here has been good." He sounded like an overly peppy game show host.

          "So I'm going to explain to you what your next 24 hours or so will be like. First, you're going to get your partners. Your whole time here will be spent with your partner. You will sleep with your partner, eat with your partner. All of your classes will be with your partner so you're going to need to learn to at least tolerate your partner. Miss Walker will now read the names of the partners."

          A tall woman walked on stage. "So first we have, Terrick He and Anna Johnson in room 122, Daniel Ireson and Icarus Johnson in room 123 Helias Absons and Luna Absons in room 124... "

          I spaced out and began to worry. What if I don't like my partner? Or even worse what if my partner doesn't like me? Or what if they turn out to be a murderer and... my thoughts are broken by my brother shaking my shoulder. "Sky, she said we are partners!"

          "Wait, what?" I asked but Miss Smith had already moved onto the next name.

          Ingrid nodded. "You two are partners and you're in room 153. Guess you can never get rid of each other." She laughed.

          Jasper playfully nudged her, "hopefully I don't get stuck with you."

          She shoved him back, "Yeah, I don't think I could stand seeing your ugly mug every morning." And off they went, bickering again.

          I leaned close to Caleb and whispered, "If I didn't know Ingrid was asexual and homoromantic I would swear she had a crush on him." He nodded his head in agreement.

          In fact, they were bickering so much they almost missed Ingrid's name being called. "Ingrid Tertz and Abraham Cole in room 167." Ingrid glanced around to see a tall-ish brown haired boy wave to her. She waved back and smiled.

          A couple minutes later we were starting to get really bored. Caleb had gotten the cards out and we were playing another game of Gin Rummy. Jasper was starting to get kind of nervous and Ingrid was trying to take a nap. Finally Miss Walker called out. "Dalila Zhang and Jasper Zeller in room 199. Please find your partner and sit with them for the rest of orientation." There was a bit of chaos which Caleb and I ignored and started to pack up our game.

          When everyone had been seated Mr. Gills took the stage again. "Okay so once I dismiss you, you will go to your rooms and unpack, your bags have been distributed to your rooms..." I yawned. This stuff probably wasn't very important, might as well sleep some. I put my head on Caleb's shoulder and began to nod off.
