*The Next Day**Author's Pov*

"Tama~Chan, why are we here?" asked a confused honey as the hosts stood in front of Haruhi's apartment.

"Today we are going to spend the entire day with Haruhi!" said Tamaki as he put his hands on his hips triumphantly.

"But why? we could be at home enjoying a nice and peaceful Sunday" said Hikaru

"Plus we went out yesterday, I bet Haruhi is going to stay inside too"

"We'll see about that!" said Tamaki as he rang Haruhi's doorbell.

as the hosts waited for an answer they heard Loud wailing from next door

"Whats going on in there?" asked the twins

"I don wanna!" They heard someone wail, probably Kaida

"You're not sleeping in all day! we're going outside and that's final!"They heard another voice, probably rose

The wailing died down as Haruhi's door opened

"Hey, guys, what brings you here?" asked Haruhi

"I thought we could all spend the day together!" said Tamaki as he proceeded to hug Haruhi who had her head turned to the side.

"oh really? I just wanted to stay in today" said Haruhi as she rubbed her neck

"See boss? even Haruhi wants to stay home" said the twins

Tamaki hung his head low as he sulked. Haruhi sighed but she turned her head when she heard Kyran's door open.

Out came Kyran and Yukio, who were wearing casual clothes. A few seconds later Rose came out carrying a very upset Kaida, the tear streaks on her cheeks indicated she was the one who was crying.

"Oh! good morning!" said rose, she sounded out of breath.

"Morning! whats wrong with Kaida? I heard her crying" asked Haruhi as the host watched Haruhi converse.

"Oh, Kaida? she's fine. She just being a big ol' baby. We planned to go to the playground today so kaida can meet some kids her age" Said rose as she adjusted kaida on her hip. Kaida hid her face in roses neck as she gripped the back of Rose's shirt

"You wanna come with us Haruhi?" asked Yukio as he stuck his hands in his pockets

"But we were just asking Haruhi to spend the day with us!" said Tamaki. Yukio narrowed his eyes

"That doesn't mean she has to say yes to you, I was just asking," said Yukio 

"Why are you being so rude?" Asked Hikaru as he narrowed his eyes at Yukio

"Why is your 'boss' so immature? these are questions we may never have the answer to" said Yukio as he rolled his eyes

"H-Hey guys don't fight, how about we all hang out at the playground?" said Haruhi trying to ease the tension

Rose smiled "sounds great! you see Kaida? now you can play with Haruhi if you don't like the other kids" 

Kaida responded by whining into rose's neck.

"Well let me get dressed really quick and then we can go!" said Haruhi as she closed her front door and went to get ready

The hosts looked at the group(I'm gonna call Yukio, Kyran, Rose & kaida "the group" because author~chan is lazy and doesn't want to type their names out 10000000000 times) as they waited for Haruhi

"great, now we have to hang out with them again," Said Kaoru

"I think this will be great, maybe if we hang out long enough, they'll agree to join the host club!
said Tamaki

"I bet you're saying that so you can get kaida chan to stop being scared of you," said honey as he snickered

Tamaki sweatdropped "Maybe...."

*Time skip*

"Here we are!" said rose as they stood at the entrance of the playground

The hosts looked around and saw a huge jungle gym with a slide, a large swing set, monkey bars, and a sandbox with shovels and pails. Kids were everywhere, playing tag, going on the jungle gym swinging on the swings, just plain having fun.

Rose put kaida down and nudged her towards the kids playing

"Go have fun! we're gonna go sit" said rose as she followed Kyran and Yukio to the benches

Haruhi and the hosts went to follow the group until they looked at kaida

She stood completely still and she tightly gripped the bottom of her shirt as she watched the other kids play

"Aren't you gonna go play kaida~chan?" asked Honey

Kaida turned to look at Honey, she slowly nodded"Mmhm" 

She walked over to the sandbox, where she didn't see any kids playing and began to play in the sand.

The hosts went to sit with the group on the benches. "So Kaida doesn't play with the other kids often?" asked Haruhi

"This is her first time coming here when there are kids around," said Kyran as he pulled out a small book to read

"wait, really? why is that?" asked tamaki

"She may seem cheery, but kaida has a hard time meeting and talking to new people," said rose

"So, she's shy?" said the twins

"Yep, although she just chooses when she wants to be," said Yukio

The host looked over at kaida to see her still playing alone, however, she seemed to be having fun all by herself

*Time Skip*

"So, Haruhi whats it like being in a club?" asked Rose

"huh?" Haruhi said confused at the sudden question

"Whats it like? we've been to your club a couple times to talk but you just let us talk" said Yukio

"Do you like being in a club?" asked Yukio and rose in unison

Haruhi sweatdropped and looked at the hosts while scratching her cheek

"It's fun I guess, I get to talk to wonderful girls and sometimes talk about myself," said Haruhi

"What else?" asked Kyran as he put down his book

"We cosplay and sometimes even host outside in the courtyard"

"Sugoi! sounds like fun!" said rose

"Does it? You can join if you'd like" said kyoya butting in

Rose shook her head "no no no no I couldn't!"

"Why not? you said it sound fun, why not join in on it?" asked the twins

"b-because.." rose trailed off

"because what?" asked kyoya

Rose rubbed her shoulder, which was covered by her T-shirt" Just...... because".

the host looked at rose confused by her answer, before the could say anything they were interrupted by children's laughter. The teens all looked over to see a few older children surrounding the sandbox.

"Aww is the little baby sad that she got sand in her face?" said one little boy.

"She's too scared to talk! she won't say a word!" said another.

Kaida continued to wipe the sand out of her eyes, she stood up and coughed out the sand the got caught in her throat.

"Eww don't cough on me!" said a little girl. Before kaida knew it she was pushed back down into the sandbox. She hit her head on an upside-down pail which caused her to hold her head in pain.

"we gotta stop this," said kyran as he stood up, but before he could do anything  A pair of twins showed up, a boy and a girl, one with blue hair and one with pink hair. They ran over to the sandbox and pushed one of the boys.

"Hey quit messin wit her!" said the boy with pink hair

"Yea back off!"  said the girl with blue hair

"aww look! two pipsqueak twins wanna be heroes!" said one of the boys

"Shadup! Your mother buys you mega blocks instead of legos!" the little twins in unison

The three boys gasped and frowned at the twins protecting Kaida

"You take that back!" said one of the boys

"Never! now buzz off!" said the little twins in unison

The children growled but left the little twins and kaida alone. 

"Hey are you okay?" said the boy

"Those guys are always pickin on the new people!" said the girl

Kaida rubbed her head but nodded anyway. The twins put out their hand and helped kaida up

"Awigato gozaimasu," said Kaida 

"Your welcome!" said the little twins

"I'm Nagisa!" said the boy

"And in Tsumugi!" said the girl

Kaida dusted herself off and smiled a little "I'm Kaida" 

  "Nice to meet you!" The little twins said in unison  

Kaida nodded, this time showing a full smile

"You seem nice! do you wanna be our friend?" asked Tsumugi

"Yeah! if you stick wit us no one will be able to touch ya!" said Nagisa

Kaida's eyes widened as she looked at Nagisa and Tsumugi

"You mean it?" asked Kaida

"Course we do!" said the twins in unison

Kaida nodded her head giggling "Then yes! I'll be your friend!"

meanwhile, the group of teens were watching from their bench

"Aww she made friends! I'm so happy!" said rose

" I just hope they won't be annoying," said Yukio

"Shut up Yuki!" said Rose as she elbowed Yukio

The hosts watched as Kaida chatted with her new friends before running over to where they were sitting

"Oni~Chan! I made friends, I made friends!" said kaida as Nagisa and tsumugi stood behind her

"This is your oni~chan?! he's so tall!" said Tsumugi

"Sugoi!" said Nagisa

Kyran smirked at the little twins

"Nice to meet you kids, thanks for saving my sis," said Kyran

Nagisa and Tsumugi bowed "your welcome sir!" the said in unison

"You got a couple minutes before we leave, why don't you go play with your friends?" said Rose.

"Okay!" said kaida 

"C'mon lets go on the jungle gym!" said Nagisa as he ran towards the jungle gym, Tsumugi not far behind

Kaida looked at kyran,  she smiled from ear to ear as kyran nudged her to go play. Kaida giggled before running off"Wait for me!"

The group smiled at Kaida playing
