NOTE: I advise you read the author's note for this chapter, even if you don't usually read the author's notes. It provides vital information that you need to know. Thank you.

"Hello," she says to me once it is morning.

"Hello," I reply sleepily as I have just woken up.

"You can stay there. Here," she says handing me a purple drink.

I take it from her and drink it. I then get up and lay down.

"I see... End program," she says.

"Hello," I say.

"Hello," she replies.

"How. Are. Yu?" I ask.

"I'm good," she says getting something out of the cabinet, "Here, drink this."

I take it from her and I drink it.

"Now lay down," she tells me and I lay down.

"End program," she says.

"Hello. How are you?" I ask.

"I'm doing fine. You?" she asks.

"I don't understand."

She gets something out of the cabinet and hands it to me. "Drink this."

I drink it and then lay down.

"End program," she says.

"Hello. How are you?" I ask.

"I'm doing fine. You?" she asks.

"Hello. How are you?"

She picks up a purple drink off the counter and gives it to me.

"Drink this and then lay down."

"Hello. How are you?"

I drink it and lay down.

"End program."

"Hello. How are you?"

She then gets up and does something on the computer.

"There!" she says.

"Hello," she says to me.

"Hello. How are you doing?" I reply.

"I'm doing fine. You?"

"I'm doing fine as well," I smile.

"That's good. What do you want to do today?" she asks me.

"I don't know."

"You sure?"

"I don't understand."

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know."

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know."

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know."

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know."

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know."

"Really, what do you want to do today?"

"I don't understand."

"What would you like to do today?"

"I don't know."

She goes to the cabinet and takes out a purple drink and hands it to me. I drink it and then lay down.

"End program."

"Hello," she says to me.

"Hello."

"How are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine. You?"

"I'm doing fine as well.

"How are you doing?" the scientist asks.

"You just asked that question."

"What do you want to do today?"

"You just asked that question."

"Hello."

"You just asked that question."

"Ewwww."

"You just asked that question."

She hands me purple drink. I drink it and then lay down.

"End program."

"Hello." She says.

"Hello." I reply.

"What do you want to do today?"

"What do I want to do today?"

"Hello."

"Hello."

"Here drink this," she says handing me a purple drink.

I take the purple drink from her and I drink it. Then I lay down.

"End program," she says.

"Hello." She says to me.

"Hello. How are you?" I ask.

"I'm doing fine. You?"

"I'm doing fine as well."

"What do you want to do today?"

"Ride my bike."

"Let's go the-" she stops and looks down at something.

"What is it?" I ask.

"It seems Paul wants us to come."

"I see. Let's go then!" I say cheerfully.

"Not yet. I want you to drink this," she says handing me a purple drink.

I take it from her, drink it, and then I lay down.

"End Program."

"Hello," she says.

"Hello," I reply.

"How are you?" she asks me.

"I'm fine....."

"You sure?"

"I couldn't be better," I say hugging the scientist.

"I don't think so..."

"I'm fine."

"Here, just drink this," she says handing me a purple drink.

I take it from her and I drink it. Then I lay down.

"End program."

"I LIKE PAUL!"

She hands me a purple drink and I drink it. Then I lay down.

"End program."

"I'm in love with this chair!" I yell running over to the chair and hugging it.

The scientist starts laughing.

She hands me a purple drink and I drink it. I then lay down.

"End program."

The scientist is sitting on a chair.

"I'm really jealous of your relationship with the chair..."

"What?" she asks me.

"GET OFF MY CHAIR!"

"Your chair?"

"Yes. My chair! STAY AWAY!"

She gets up and hands me a purple drink.

"Now no one can separate the two of us!"

"Drink that please and then lay down."

"Can I be with my chair after?"

"...Yes."

"Yay!" I say drinking it and then laying down.

"End program."

"We can go now," she says.

I follow the scientist to Paul's office.

I have some sort of feeling... for Paul. I don't know what it is. It's like what the scientist was talking about... Her definition of "liking someone." She said it could either be having special feelings for them, or like being with them. I wonder... what I feel for him... If it's the first or second one.

We walk into Paul's office.

"You're late," says Paul.

"Sorry..." says the scientist to Paul

"I'll have to talk with you after."

"Hello," Paul says to me.

"Hello."

"How are you?" he asks.

"I'm fine," I smile, "You?"

"I'm doing great."

"That's good."

"What do you like to do?" he asks me.

"I like to swim."

"Do you like to do anything else?" he asks.

"Riding a bike was fun."

"Anything else?"

"Well... I enjoy talking to you."

He looks happier after I said that.

"Did that make you happy?" I ask.

"I guess so..."

"Could I have something to eat?" I ask.

"Sure," he says getting up to get me something.

He gives me my food and I start to eat.

"Have you eaten yet?"

"No."

"You should eat then!"

He gets up and gets food for himself.

"Could I have some water?"

"Sure," he says getting water while he gets his food.

"Your favorite foods are broccoli and spinach?" I ask once he has sat down next to me.

"Yes."

"Do many people like broccoli and spinach?"

"No."

"That's funny," I say, laughing.

He starts to laugh too.

"Why are you laughing?" Paul asks me.

"I can't explain it."

He looks sad.

"I see..."

"Sorry."

"There is no need to say sorry."

"We should get going soon," says the scientist.

"Are you sure?" asks Paul.

"Well... Silence Words."

"I see. You can always do that later."

The scientist gives him a look.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing," says the scientist.

"You gave Paul a look."

"Let's go," says the scientist.

Paul looks disappointed and unhappy by what the scientist said.

"Paul looks sad."

"Who cares? Let's go."

"He's your boss. He has more power than you."

She gives me a look.

"Paul, what does it mean to be in love?" I ask.

"Love? It's when you want to spend time with them... You want to be with them... You have special feelings for them. Happy feelings. You want them to be happy," he tells me.

"So it's the same thing as liking someone?" I ask.

"Similar, but love is stronger than liking. In the context you're using like, you can also say crush."

"I see."

"Who are your favorite people?"

"You and the scientist!"

"Who is your favorite person?"

"It's you and the scientist."

"Just 1."

"Just 1 what?"

"The question who is your favorite person, that's one person, not two people. Who is it?"

"Hmm... I can't decide!"

"You're sure?"

"Yeah."

"Did you like the food?" he asks as he realizes I am finished.

"It was fine."

"That's good. Can I..." he stops.

"What?"

"It's nothing."

"Oh."

"Umm.... Who is your favorite person to talk to?"

"You and the scientist!"

"I see."

"What about you?"

"Huh?"

"Who's your favorite person to talk to?"

"Well..."

"Come on! Say it!"

"Well... it's a secret."

"A secret?"

"Yes."

"Please tell me!"

"I don't know..."

"What? That's not a secret!"

"I'm just kidding! It wasn't a secret in the first place!"

"Kidding?"

"Joking."

"Joking?"

"Joking means you said it for the other person to laugh... or for your amusement."

"Oh."

"Yeah..."

"Well, we really should get going," says the scientist.

"I... guess you're right."

"You can go back," the scientist says to me.

"By myself?"

"Yes. I have to talk with Paul first."

"Oh."

I slowly walk back to the testing room by myself.

I wonder what the scientist is talking to Paul about.

I sit down in a chair while I wait for the scientist to come back.

I wonder what I feel for Paul... Do I just like spending time with him, or do I have a crush on him or do I love him?

"I'm back!" she says to me.

She hands me a purple drink. I drink it and then I lay down.

"End program."

"Hello," she says to me.

"Hello," I reply.

"Do... you have a crush on anyone?" she asks.

"No."

"You're sure?"

"Yes."

"Not even Paul?"

"Why would I have a crush on Paul?"

"What about love?"

"No."

"Love isn't only having a crush but more. Love means that you care about someone. You could love me, but not want me. You could love someone else but want them. Do you get it?"

"Yes."

"Do you love anyone?"

"You and Paul."

"Are you in love with anyone?"

"What's the difference?"

"In love is meaning you want them and that sort of thing."

"Oh."

"So, are you in love with anyone?"

"No."

She hands me a purple drink and I take it from her. I drink it and then lay down.

"End program."

"Who do you love?" she asks me.

"Hello. How are you?"

She hands me a purple drink. I drink it and then I lay down.

"End program."

"Who do you love?" she asks me.

"Who do I love? I don't know."

"I see."

"What do you want to do?" the scientist asks me.

"I want to practice riding my bike some more."

"Let's go."

We walk to the room where I can ride my bike. This time I am horrible at riding my bike just like last time.

"How come riding a bike is so hard?" I ask.

"It takes time to learn. How about you take a break."

"Understood."

I sit down in the bench that the scientist is sitting down on. She hands me a water.

"Don't try too hard."

"Why not?"

"You will tire yourself out. Anyway, you have as much time as you need to learn."

"Oh."

"Do you want to go do something else now?" she asks me.

"Like what?"

"We could go run."

"I don't like running."

"Do you want to swim?"

"Yes."

I follow the scientist to the room with the pool. We get changed into our swimming suits and then we I jump into the pool while the scientist goes in from the shallow part.

"Do you like swimming?" I ask the scientist.

"Somewhat," she replies.

"Somewhat?"

"Yes, somewhat. I sometimes enjoy swimming."

"Why is that?"

"I just don't find it all that fun."

"It's lots of fun!"

"We have different opinions on swimming."

"I see..."

"Why don't you swim back and forth?" the scientist asks me.

"Understood," I say starting to swim back and forth.

"Why aren't you swimming?" I ask after I have swam back and forth many times.

"As I said, I don't find it fun."

"Then why do you ask me if I want to go swimming?"

"To be nice."

"I don't understand."

"I ask you if you want to swim because I'm a nice person."

"Oh. That makes sense."

"How about we get out now?" she asks.

"Understood."

We both get out and get changed into our regular clothes.

"What do you want to do now?" she asks.

"I don't know."

"Let's go back to the testing room then."

"Understood."

We walk back to the testing room.

"I'm tired out," I say when we get back.

"Why don't you sit down on the chair?"

"Understood," I reply, sitting down on the chair.

The scientist is doing something on a device.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Programming," she tells me.

"Programming? What's that?" I ask.

"Creating you."

"Creating me?"

"Yes, I'm programming to create you."

"Here drink this," she says handing me a purple drink that she got from one of the cabinets.

I take the drink from her, drink it, and then I lay down.

"End program," she says.

AN: The scientist *you hear a beep* I'm not giving away spoilers!

Alright, now that that's over with I have some questions to ask out of curiosity.

How do you think the story will end?

What direction do you think the story is going in (do you think it's going in a happy direction, depressing direction, horror, ect.)
