The Cafe went from calm to chaos in a snap.

Everyone stood and raced for the counter to put away their plates. Everyone was tripping over everyone just to get out the door.

Juniper, Izzy, Nico and I stuck together. But pretty soon Juniper branched off since she had a different schedule while Izzy, Nico and I started to head to Beginner Herbology. An announcement was made saying that the kids who had Herbology were excused for being a little late, since it was in the Garden.

We all raced to our bikes and started to pedal down the path to the Neighborhood.

I hopped off my bike and leaned it against my porch then took off for Herbology, knowing Nico and Izzy were right behind me.

When we reached the Herbology door, the random door on the far left of the Garden, I looked at the black haired teenage boy and the little, light brown haired girl.

"You ready?" I asked, still trying to catch my breath. They nodded and then we walked inside.

I was instantly greeted by the scent of plants from everywhere. And we were actually inside a greenhouse, with the place being made entirely of glass. I could see the garden from the entrance and the surrounding forest.

"Awesome," I muttered.

There a long table placed in the middle of the large greenhouse. All of us kids stood around the table, probably hoping we were doing the right thing.

Then a girl that looked like she was in her late teens walked in. She was wearing a simple outfit with blue jeans and white t-shirt. She had straight, red hair and bright blue, intelligent eyes. I could see some grass stains on the knees of her worn out jeans and on the edges of her shirt, but I could also see that she didn't even care.

"Hey, guys. My name is Professor Haley and I'm a Beginner Herbology teacher of Terra Arbor. I teach about all of the plants of the world and how you can use them in your Beginner Potions for Professor Risma, who is your next period. I'm sure that most of you are probably afraid and confused on what this whole place is about. But you'll learn all that in HIstory with Professor Aleza. I'm just here as your first period teacher to assure you that you have come to a good place," She gave all of us a kind smile.

"So before we even start to learn, we need to know each other. Name, age, what you think about Terra Arbor, so far and how you came here," She looked to her right to a blonde haired boy with blue eyes. "You first,"

The boy took a deep breath, definitely a little nervous. At least I was in the middle of his row so I could have some time to calm myself down.

"I'm Will Stone, fifteen years old. I think that Terra Arbor is pretty cool, not gonna lie. And I came here by a friend," And it kept going. In front of me was Hunter Fields, Karina Gardener, twin sisters Leah and Sarah Hope, twin siblings Joshua and Sasha Newman, Zandra Montgomery, Kelli Challenger and Tyler Simms. Then it got to me, Nico, and Izzy. Then the other row.

After the last person, the bell rang. Professor Haley had a clipboard out and after scribbling down a few more words she looked up at all of us with a smile.

"Well. Nice to meet all of you. You are dismissed," All of us stood and started to walk out the door.

"Well that went better than expected," Nico smiled.

"Next is Beginner Potions, right?" Izzy asked.

"Yeah. Let's go," We all got our bikes and started to pedal down the secret path back to the Academy.

And a couple people in the front had a race, including Sarah and Leah Hope or as people started to call them, the Hope SIsters. Leah won in the end but Sarah was a good sport about it.

I was happy and relieved to be surrounded by kind people who wouldn't take a loss to heart.

All of us reached the Potions door just as the bell rang.

There were round tables with cauldrons over a burner that were turned off. And I could see all of the other supplies and ingredients were crammed in the back of the room.

Izzy, Nico and I sat with Karin Gardener and another boy, Nathan Swan.

Then a guy, who looked to be the same age as Professor Haley walked into the classroom. He had short black hair but his bangs hung over his dark eyes. But the smile on his face seemed kind enough.

"Hello, class," His voice was quiet but it definitely put all of us on edge. It felt like he could see everything about everyone. "I am Professor Risma and teach Beginner Potions. And today you'll just be introducing yourself, like you probably did in Professor Haley's class. Your day will be full of introductions. So just bear with it. I have to listen to all of Terra Arbor's new students' introductions so you have the better deal," He sighed. "Now let's begin,"

Next was History of Tsunachi which was taught by Professor Aleza. She had dark auburn hair and gray eyes. She seemed to have the kind of personality of being kind but also having a more obvious strict side.

"Have a good first day!" Professor Aleza said once the bell rang.

"You, too!" We all said back and raced out the door to the Cafe, meeting up with Juniper along the way.

"So," She started to speak after we sat down. "How's your day so far?"

"Well to start off, you were definitely right. We're all just introducing ourselves. It's getting a little tiring saying the same thing over and over and over again, though," I said, my chin resting on my fist. "And I've noticed that we have the same classmates for each class so far,"

"Yeah. You stay with your classmates through all your years. In my experience, anyway. I've made tons of connections with my classmates. We all know one another extremely well, we might as well be considered a family. In my opinion, I think that's what Queen Bianca and King Naro are trying to do. To get us connected," Juniper explained, bringing some of the lettuce from her salad to her mouth. "Classes seem good?"

"Yeah, I'd say so. The set-ups can really make you interested. Professor Haley's in a greenhouse. Professor Risma is in a creepy looking room with cauldrons and burners," Nico nodded.

"Professor Aleza is sort of an exception though. She just has bookshelves, tables, chairs, and then a whiteboard in the front. But, I would want to learn the history of this place. That's what would get me interested. And then the Magic and Weapon Training classes would definitely be an awesome set-up. And Training itself would be in the Training Arena, right?" I turned to Juniper. She nodded.

Then frowned a little in Izzy's direction.

"Why's Izzy so quiet?" She asked.

Izzy had her head bowed and she wasn't answering. Nico turned to looked at her face.

"I can't believe it," He looked at us. "She's sleeping," He announced.

I laughed while he shook her shoulder.

"Izzy. Izzy,"

"Hm?" She stirred, rubbing her eyes and yawning. "Oh sorry. The classes are just boring," I smirked a little.

"Don't worry. Tomorrow's gonna be when the fun begins. Just try to bear with it. We only have three classes left," I tried to encourage her a little. And it worked. She straightened her back and started to eat.

After lunch, we separated from Juniper once again to go to Weapon Training with Professor Agro. It was placed in the Weaponry room where we were in a barn-like building that was on campus but detached from it. We were all surrounded by spare swords, bows and quivers filled with arrows, spears and other stuff that I couldn't even recognize. And there were no desks for us to sit on. Just the floor.

The professor himself was pretty interesting as well. He had jet black hair and eyes. He had a muscular build and a deep voice to go with it.

Tsunachi Training with Professor Magia was also placed in a barn-like building but this time it held classroom features like desks, a whiteboard in the front and a few bookshelves in the back.

Professor Magia kind of reminded me of Queen Bianca with her platinum blonde hair but she had blue eyes instead of silvery white.

When the bell rang for sixth period, Nico and I legitimately high-fived each other out of relief.

"We're almost there," I smiled at him.

"Let's do this!" Izzy jumped for joy and grabbed both of our hands, dragging us to the Training Arena.

Professor Coda seemed pretty tough but also kind, like Professor Agro. The strength in her body but the softness in her light green eyes balanced her own personality out. Her dark auburn hair was cut up to her shoulders, framing her face.

When the bell rang, I could literally feel a weight lifted off my shoulders.

"Finally!" A boy, Will Stone, yelled. Professor Coda smiled at all of us.

"Have a good day, kids," She said.

"You, too!" We said back. Then all of us walked out of the Training Arena and started to head to the school building.

"We're finally free," Nico said, relieved.

"Just wait until tomorrow. That's when the real fun begins," I said as we walked to the Academy.

"Thanks for reminding me," He grumbled.

"You are so very welcome, Mr. Avalon," I smirked as he playfully punched my arm. We reached the courtyard, Juniper waiting for us under an actual juniper tree.

"Hey, it's Juniper next to a juniper," I smiled.

She nodded with a contented smile.

"I remember using this spot as a quiet place in my early days," She said.

"Cool!" Izzy smiled.

"Can't wait for tomorrow. What happens on the second day?" I looked at her.

"Depends. Who do you have? In order," She questioned.

"Haley, Risma, Aleza, Agro, Magia, andCoda," Nico listed.

"Awesome! You have the same schedule I had last year!" She smiled.

"You didn't notice?" I crossed my arms.

"Sorry. I don't pay attention to anybody's schedule except my own since I'm pretty good at forgetting stuff like that. But anyway, Haley teaches the basics of Herbology like soil and parts of plants and stuff like that while Risma teaches generic potions and assigns simple assignments. They're basically easy questionnaires like 'How many ingredients in this potion?' or 'what ingredients are in this potion?' with a list to go with it. Aleza starts teaching and you take notes. I should add that most people dread history for that but I think it's very interesting and educational, and I believe that you need to know about the place you're in to feel comfortable with it. Agro and Magia test your skills, which is fairly easy don't worry. And Coda is the best, in my opinion. She just assists you with anything you need help with, like a spell or something, while everyone trains with each other. And she takes care of any serious fights along the way since it does get a bit rough, sometimes," Juniper explained.

"Okay... I think the last three professors will definitely be my best subjects," Nico said, immediately while Juniper and I laughed.

"I know it sounds tough but trust me, it's very simple once you get the rhythm. Like the good, old, regular high school,"

"We'll trust you on that," I smiled. Then the bell rang.

Again.

I looked up at the Academy.

"What's that bell mean?"

"I bet Izzy will love this," She looked down at the little girl. "Dinnertime!" She yelled with a smile.

Izzy lit up and jumped around, clapping her hands.

"Yay!" Her brown curls bounced around as we all smiled at her.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her along.

"Come on,"

We all walked inside the Academy.
