Acephobia/aphobia - Discrimination against asexual people.

Arophobia - Discrimination against aromantic people.

Allonormativity - The incorrect assumption that all humans experience sexual attraction.

Amatonormativity - The incorrect assumption all humans pursue love or romance, especially by means of a long-term monogamous relationship.

Aro/ace erasure - The denial that asexuality and/or aromanticism is real, and the invisibility and lack of representation asexuality and aromanticism.

Aromantic Spectrum - Romantic orientations that are closely related to aromanticism when placed on a spectrum between aromantic and alloromantic. Abbreviated as arospec.

Asexual Spectrum - Sexual orientations that are closely related to asexuality when placed on a spectrum between asexual and allosexual. Abbreviated as acespec.

Celibacy - The practice of abstaining from having sex. This is not the same as being asexual.

Coming out - The process through which LGBTQIA+ people openly share their identity with other people. This can be (and often is) something LGBTQIA+ people do many times in their life. Even if a member of the LGBTQIA+ community does not come out, their identity is still valid.

Heteronormativity - The assumption that heterosexuality and heteroromanticism are the norm.

Outing - Revealing someone's sexual orientation, romantic orientation, or gender identity without their approval.

Primary attraction - Attraction that is felt when first meeting someone.

Queer - An umbrella term used to refer to those who are not heterosexual, heteroromantic, or cisgender.

Queerplatonic Relationship (QPR) - A close non-sexual, non-romantic relationship that is beyond what most would consider to be a friendship.

Questioning - Used to describe individuals who are exploring, learning, or experimenting with their sexual orientation, romantic orientation, or gender identity.

Secondary attraction - Attraction that is felt after knowing someone for a while.

Squish - A platonic crush.

Zucchini - A partner in a queerplatonic relationship.
