Chapter 06:

It was the time of early night. The sun had just set and the moon replaced it. Some stars were twinkling in the sky. In the Villa, Avni was standing in her room and she unpinned her Saree from the shoulder. She kept the pin on the bed and Neil was shocked to see it. Neil turned his face and hid behind the curtain. Neil thinks. Neil looked at Avni who removed her saree from the shoulder and she was about to remove it. Neil was shocked to see it.

Neil: Avni, stop.

Avni was shocked and she held her saree at her chest. Avni turned her face and she was shocked to see Neil. Neil kept the curtain at the side and he put his legs down. Neil stood on his feet. Avni was in shock. Neil turned and Avni realized that she is holding her saree in her hand on her chest. Avni turned and sets her saree then she pinned it. Avni got angry and she turned to Neil. Avni came to Neil who turned to her. Before Neil say something, Avni slapped him hard. Neil kept his hand on his cheek and he looked at Avni shockingly.

Avni: how dare you?

Neil was looking at Avni angrily.

Avni: what do you think of yourself?

Neil was looking at her.

Avni: what did you want to do? You wanted to see me changing my dress.

Neil was shocked.

Avni: You are such a cheap person. Your thinking is so cheap. I have never seen a cheap person like you in my whole life.

Neil: Av…

Avni: you know what, Neil, when I began to trust you a little, you showed your true colour.

Neil was looking at Avni.

Avni: You proved me wrong. You proved that my first thought about you was right.

Neil was just looking at Avni.

Avni: I was right about you at first, my thinking, my opinion about you was right. You are a mannerless, shameless, and flirtatious person. In fact, you are a lusty person.

Neil was shocked and he got angrier. Neil clenched his fist.

Avni: yes, you are a lusty person. First, you tried to flirt with me but when it didn’t work then you acted to behave well in front of me but when I didn’t get trapped in your claws then you got frustrated.

Neil was shocked to know Avni’s thinking about him. He clenched his fist which turned red. Neil’s face turned red.

Avni: and today when you saw me coming here then you came before me here and hid so that you can see me changing my…

Neil roared: Avni.

Avni flinched and she took a step back in fear.

Neil: enough.

Neil shouted: enough of it.

Avni was looking at Neil shockingly because she had not seen Neil in this anger.

Neil: don’t you dare to label me that thing again.

Avni got angry and she moved to him.

Avni: why? Sach karwa laga. But it is true, you are a lusty person. You are a womani…

Neil held Avni’s arm while calling her name. Avni was shocked. Neil was looking at her with bloodshot eyes.

Neil: not. A. single. Word... You are not the only beautiful person in the world for whom I will do so much plotting. I have no desire to see you. Neil Khanna is itself a brand. Girls approaches me and I royally refuse them. I can’t even tell you what the girls have done to get me. Some girls even tried to seduce me but Neil Khanna is a man of his principles. He knows his limits.

Avni and Neil were angrily looking at her.

Neil: I admit that I flirt with you, teases you, and jokes with you but my intentions were not wrong. I did all those things because I like you. I love you damn it.

Avni was shocked.

Avni was looking at Neil.

Avni got angry.

Neil smiled.

Avni got angry and she pushed while saying, shut up.

Neil stumbled and collided with the wall. Neil was about to fall but he held the wall. Neil looked at Avni shockingly. Neil stood properly.

Avni: you are at fault and you are calling me insane.

Neil: yes, you are insane and a stupid girl.

Avni was about to say.

Neil: if my intentions were wrong and I wanted to see you then why would I stop you and come out in front of you?

Avni was about to say but she understood Neil’s point. Avni was speechless.

Neil: think about it, stupid.

Avni looked at him.

Neil: I was going to Jay’s room to get the gifts but I saw Amrit aunty, Juhi’s mother coming from the opposite direction. She is always behind me to marry her daughter.

Avni was surprised to hear that.

Neil: Whenever, wherever, she sees me, she just catches me and starts praising her daughter that her daughter is this, her daughter is that. So, to get rid of her, I came here and hid. And when I was coming out then you came and, I hid again without seeing who had come.

Avni was looking at him. She remembered that she also saw Juhi’s mother. Avni felt guilty for accusing him. Neil came to Avni and he looked into her eyes. Avni saw the pain in Neil’s eyes and she felt a pinch in her heart.

Neil: but, I think, I should think about her words. I should give a chance to Juhi.

Avni was shocked.

Neil: I don’t like her because I think, she doesn’t have those qualities that I want in my life partner but now I feel that she is far better than my choice.

Avni was looking at Neil innocently.

Neil: and she likes me also. I should think about her.

Their eye lock. Neil was hurt and Avni was guilty. Neil turned and he was about to go but he stopped. Avni was looking at Neil but Neil didn’t turn to her.

Neil: and don’t worry about me. From today, from now on, you won't have any type of problem because of me. I will try to not show my face to you. Only a few days are left, just bear me. Once we go from here after that, I will never come in your contact. I promise.

Neil gulped while rolling his eyes and now he couldn’t hold himself from breaking down so he hurriedly goes from there. Neil opened the door and he goes without looking back but Avni’s eyes were on him. Avni looked at Neil with hurtful and guilty eyes.

After changing her dress, Avni came downstairs. Everyone was enjoying themselves there. Avni looked around but Neil was not there. Avni got disappointed. Avni saw Riya, and the gang was clicking pictures with her and Karan. Riya saw Avni and Avni smiled to see her. Riya signed Avni to come and Avni goes to her.

Karan: where is Neil?

Jay: he is in his room. He has a headache so he said that I want to rest.

Avni remembered the incident.

Flashback:

Neil: and don’t worry about me. From today, from now on, you won't have any type of problem because of me. I will try to not show you my face. Only a few days are left, just bear me. Once we go from here after that, I will never come in your contact. I promise.

Avni understood that Neil is hurt and he didn’t come because of her.

Karan: this, Neil, I told him to have some rest but when he listens to me.

Karan shook his head. Riya and the others smiled. Avni smiled fakely and she thinks.

Later, Avni was laying on the bed and she was thinking about Neil. She recalled that she slapped Neil. Avni felt bad. She recalled the whole incident in quick flashes. Avni closed her eyes to sleep but Neil’s hurtful face came in front of her. Avni opened her eyes. Avni turned her side but she was feeling restless. Avni turned back to back but no use. Avni sat on the bed.

Avni: I should apologize to him. Until I will not apologize to him, I will not get peace.

Avni thinks.

On the other side, Neil was laying on the bed and his eyes were teary. Neil recalled the moment when Avni slapped him and Neil close his eyes. A tear fell from his eyes. Neil gulped and he opened his eyes. Neil wiped his tears and sighed.

The sun rises and the birds and other species woke up and they start their search for food. People also got up and they also start their day and were engrossed in their work.

In the villa, everyone had gathered for breakfast. Avni came there and she was smiling. Avni greeted everyone and they greeted her back. Avni looked around but Neil was not there. Avni got disappointed. She thought that how she ask about him.

Shweta: Bheema, a plate of food is kept in the kitchen, go and give it to Neil in his room.

Bebe: Neil is not coming for breakfast?

Shweta: he said that he is not feeling well so send his breakfast in his room.

Maddy: what happened to him? He didn’t come for dinner last night also.

Shweta: don’t know, he said, he is tired.

Bebe: the way, he is busy in preparation then this will happen. The staff is there to work but still, he has to monitor everything himself.

Shweta: now, what I say, you know him. His eyes were puffy and red as he had not slept the whole night.

Avni felt a pinch in her heart, she understood that Neil had cried because of her.

Bebe shook her head.

Bebe: this boy.

Karan thinks.

Karan: I am going to him.

Bebe: first have breakfast.

Karan wanted to go but he nodded. Avni also sat there and she start breakfast but she was not hungry. Avni had a small bit while thinking.

Later, Neil and the gang were sitting on the couches in the living area, except Avni and they were enjoying themselves. Everyone was smiling and chuckling.

Jay: let’s play a game.

Neil smiled.

Kareena: yes.

Riya: I am in.

Karan: me also. Neil?

Neil nodded.

Neil: I am in.

Everyone shouted. Avni came there while smiling and Neil’s smile faded to see her. Neil looked down in anger. Avni noticed Neil’s anger and she felt bad.

Riya: Avni (Avni looked at Riya) it’s good, you came.

Avni smiled.

Riya: we are playing a game.

Avni smiled.

Neil pouted and he got up from the couch. Everyone looked at Neil including Avni.

Neil: Sorry, guys but I can’t play. I remembered a work and it’s urgent so, sorry but I can’t play with you, guys.

Karan noticed Neil’s behavior and he was noticing it since yesterday. Karan looked at Avni who looked sad then he looked at Neil who looked angry. Neil goes and he passed by Avni who was looking at him.

Sonia: what happened to him, suddenly?

Avni looked at her and then she lowered her gaze.

Karan smiled fakely.

Karan: leave it, he had some work. Jay, you say, about what game you were talking about.

Everyone was disturbed by Neil’s behavior because they know him. Avni turned her face and she looked at the direction where Neil goes. Avni thinks.

Later, Avni and Kareena were sitting in the living area and they were discussing about a dress by looking at the cell phone.

Someone called Kareena and she goes then Bebe came there and she saw Avni.

Bebe: Avni, putter, there are some gifts kept on the round table there please wrap them in gift wrap and also write the names on them. A chit is stuck on them.

Avni smiled.

Avni: Ok, Bebe.

Neil was passing by there by making his sleeves up and Bebe saw him.

Bebe: Neil.

Neil stopped and looked at Bebe.

Neil: yes, Bebe.

Bebe: putter, please help Avni to wrap the gifts.

Neil and Avni looked at each other.

Bebe: The gifts are kept on the table. Please, do it, putter.

Neil: ab… ok, Bebe.

Bebe: mera pyara putter.

Neil smiled and Bebe goes happily. Avni looked at Neil who ignored her and he turned to see the table. Neil goes there and Avni was looking at him. Avni came to Neil who was picking up the sarees. The gang came there and sat on the couch. They were also busy with some work. Avni was about to pick the round plate and sarees were kept on it.

Neil: you don’t need to do it, I will manage.

Avni looked at Neil then she resumed her work.

Avni: Bebe asked me also so, I will do it.

Avni picked up the huge plate and she goes from there. Neil thinks and then he picked up the sarees and he goes behind Avni. Avni and Neil sat on the couch in the room and they started the work. Avni looked at Neil who was ignoring her. Avni started her work and she picked up the tape. Avni tried to open it but she was not able to find the starting point. Neil saw that and he looked at Avni then Neil looked away. Neil forwarded his hand and Avni saw that then she looked at Neil who was looking away. Avni felt hurt and she kept the tape on Neil’s hand and Neil tried to open it. Neil opened the tape and slide the gift to him. Neil packed the gift.

Avni: if we work together then this work will finish soon.

Neil looked at Avni and then he thinks by looking down. Neil kept the wrapper on the table and then he kept the saree on it. Neil kept the tape on the table and wrapped the saree in it. Neil waited for Avni to tape it and he looked at her. Avni looked at Neil who looked at the tape and then at Avni. Neil looked away and Avni understood Neil’s sign. Avni picked up the tape and she taped the wrapper.

Neil and Avni were packing the gifts. Avni wanted to apologize to Neil but Neil was royally ignoring her. Soon, they finished their work and set them on the table. Before Avni could say something to him; Neil goes from there. Avni was looking at Neil and she felt bad.
