Chapter 05:

The sun rises and people started their day. The birds were hovering in the sky in search of food and the sun was shining in the sky.

In the Villa, everyone gathered for the breakfast. Avni was passing by the corridor and Neil came out of his room. Neil turned his face and he saw Avni who looked up and got angry to see Neil. Neil was guilty for his last night's behavior. He was just teasing her but it went wrong. Avni looked away and she hurriedly passed by Neil. Neil wanted to talk to her but Avni didn’t give him a chance. Neil was looking at Avni sadly.

Avni came for the breakfast and Neil came behind her. They sat and silently had breakfast. After breakfast, Avni was in the kitchen and she was pouring tea into the kettle. Avni kept the pot on the stove and she picked up the tray of the tea set. Avni turned and she saw Neil coming there. Avni ignored him and she was going but Neil blocked her way. Avni flinched and she saved the tray. Avni looked up and glared at Neil.

Neil: Avni, I…

Avni: leave my way.

Neil: please, listen to me once after that, I will not come in your way.

Neil pinched his throat.

Neil: I promise.

Avni looked away.

Neil: thank you… and sorry.

Avni looked at him.

Neil: Sorry for last night.

Avni looked away.

Neil: Avni, I swear, I was just teasing you, I didn’t have bad intentions. I also have a sister how can I think bad about other girls…and for you…

Avni looked at Neil.

Neil: never.

Avni was surprised.

Neil: ok, you tell me that did I say a single bad word except for sweetheart?

Avni thinks.

Neil: sweetheart also slipped from my mouth and I regret about it the next second and before I say something, you reacted on that. I am really very sorry for my last night behaviour and I promise, I will not repeat it.

Neil looked at Avni who thinks.

Neil: If possible then forgive me, please.

Avni looked at Neil who sighed and he took the tray from Avni and Avni saw that. Neil goes from there. Avni was just looking at him. Avni was confused about Neil.

Avni: what thing this guy is? Is he bipolar? Sometimes, he acts like a jerk, and sometimes, he behaves sweetly. Last night, he was flirting with me and now he apologized like an innocent kid. He is so strange.

Avni got irritated: aaahhhhh…

Avni goes from there in anger.

Avni came to the living area and she saw that Neil is pouring tea for Bebe and the others elders by sitting on his knees. Avni smiled to see him. Neil caught her staring at him and when Avni saw that then she looked away. Neil smiled to see her. Neil sighed and then he looked at elders. Neil passed a cup of tea to Neela maa who smiled then Neil again looked at Avni who came there and she passed a smile to Neela maa. Avni sat with Neela maa. Everyone smiled to see her.

Neil: Avni, tea?

Avni: no, thank you.

Shweta: why, no? Neil, give her tea.

Neil nodded. Avni smiled.

Neil made tea for Avni.

Neil: sugar?

Avni shook her head.

Avni: I like sugar-free tea.

Neil smiled and he passed a cup to Avni.

Avni: Thank you.

Neil: you’re welcome.

They passed a smile to each other.

Neil in mind: I think, she forgave me.

Neil got happy. He smiled.

After having the tea. Avni picked up the tray of tea set and she goes. Neil thinks. Avni kept the tray on the counter. Neil came behind her. Avni turned and she was surprised to see Neil. Avni was looking at him.

Neil: I just came to ask you that did you forgive me.

Avni sighed and she nodded. Neil got happy.

Avni: but, it is your last warning.

Neil nodded and he sighed happily.

Neil: Thank you.

Avni smiled and she went from there. Neil sighed.

Neil: Thank God, she forgave me. Now, Neil, be careful, and no flirting.

Neil nodded and then he sighed. Neil was happy that Avni forgave him.

Some days passed like this and everyone was engrossed in the preparation of the wedding and the guests also arrived.
The guests were staying in the resort.

The functions of the wedding started. It was the day of the Haldi ceremony. The Villa was decorated with yellow and white curtains and yellow and white flowers. The ladies choose the theme of a yellow saree and the men were in a white kurta with a yellow vest.

First, Karan came outside the Villa with Neil, Jay and other friends. Karan sat on the stool and the ladies applied turmeric to his face, arms and legs.

Maddy: now, this haldi will be applied to your bride.

Karan smiled but how can Neil leave Karan so easily.

Neil said while taking the bowl from Maddy: what’s the hurry, Bua.

Maddy: Aray, Neil… Neil, this is for Riya.

Neil: don’t worry, Bua. Chill.

Maddy made a face and then she smiled. Everyone was enjoying it. Avni came to the balcony to see what is happening. Avni was not ready still.

Neil gave a teasing look to Karan.

Karan: Neil, no. Neil, Neil. No…

Neil: hohahaha.

Karan: Neil.

Neil: no, Neil, today, no one can save you from me. Hohahaha.

Karan: Neil, I will…

Before, Karan say anything Neil applied turmeric on Karan’s face. Karan closed his eyes and Avni kept her hand on her mouth to see it, Jay and others also jumped in and they also applied turmeric on Karan’s face, arms and legs. Avni and the others were laughing. Neil and others tore Karan’s kurta and Avni cupped her mouth again in shock. Neil and others were laughing and Karan was also laughing and screaming. They threw a bucket of water at Karan. Avni widened her eyes. Neil and the others left him. Neil sighed and moved a step back.

Neil: chal mauf kiya tujhe.

Avni didn’t hear them.

Karan: what? After making my this condition, you are saying mauf kiya. Like seriously.

Neil smiled. He looked at Maddy and he passed a bowl to her.

Neil: Bua.

Maddy took the bowl. Neil’s eyes fell in the balcony and he was surprised to see Avni standing there. Neil smiled.

Neil in mind: one day, our wedding functions will also happen like this even our wedding will be a grand one. Everything will be the best.

Neil smiled to see Avni who was smiling to see the people.

Later, Riya was brought to the living area and Neela maa and Hetal made her sit on the stool. Neil and others were present.

Avni was coming there while carrying the huge round plate of glass and a bowl of turmeric was kept on it.

The plate was decorated with rose petals. Neil saw Avni and he was lost to see her. Avni was wearing a yellow saree and she was looking breathtaking in that. Neil blinked his eyes to assure that it is reality or his imagination. Neil realized that it is reality. Avni smiled to see Riya and Neil smiled to see Avni. Avni came and she kept the plate on the decorated stool. Neil was looking at Avni who held her hair which was falling in the turmeric and Neil clicked Avni’s picture. Neil looked around. Neil saw the picture and smiled.

The ladies applied turmeric on Riya’s face, arms and legs. Her lehenga was up slightly. Avni also came and she teased Riya instead of applying turmeric. Everyone was smiling including Neil.

Riya: chachi.

Nm: Avni.

Avni smiled and she applied turmeric to Riya’s face and then she side-hugged Riya by touching her face to Riya’s face. They made a pout and kissed and then they smiled. Neil clicked their picture. Avni and Riya looked at each other while hugging and Neil clicked that picture also.

Avni was moving here and there and she was asking ladies about refreshments and other things. Neil’s eyes were on Avni and he was moving by seeing her but he was at some distance from her. Neil clicked numerous pictures of Avni secretly. Neil was seeing Avni’s picture and Shweta came to him. Neil instantly off his phone and kept his hand down. Shweta asked him something and Neil nodded. Neil goes.

Neil came upstairs and then he was passing by the corridor. Neil looked up and he saw a lady coming from the opposite direction. Neil was shocked to see her.

Neil: oh no, Amrit aunty. If she saw me then again she will catch me and will try to convince me for Juhi. What should I do?

Amrit looked up and Neil widened his eyes. Neil saw a room near him and he goes there hurriedly.  Neil hid behind the curtain and the window of the corridor was closed already. Neil closed his eyes. Neil opened his eyes and he wait there for some minutes.

Neil: I think, she went.

Neil took a sigh of relief by closing his eyes.

Neil: thank God, bach gaye.

Neil was about to move but he heard the sound of footsteps and he stopped. A girl closed the door and Neil was shocked.

Neil in mind: oh shit.

The girl turned and it was Avni. She held her saree at her belly and a stain of curry was on it.

Avni: tch, this stain… don’t know, how I got this stain?

Neil was shocked to hear Avni’s voice.

Neil in mind: Avni.

Neil squeezed his eyes.

Neil in mind: oh no. This is Avni's room.

Neil opened his eyes.

Neil in mind: if she saw me here then she will definitely eat me alive.

Neil gulped.

Avni came forward.

Avni: now, what should I do?

Avni thinks and Neil peeped from the curtain and he saw Avni staring at her saree. Neil saw the stain and then he looked at Avni. Avni looked frustrated and Neil hid. Avni felt that and looked there but she ignored that.

Avni: Avni, do one thing, change it.

Neil was shocked.

Avni: the function is already over.

Neil was shocked.

Neil in mind: she will change in the room?

Avni nodded. Avni goes to the cupboard and searches for a dress. Avni took out a dress. Neil peeped and Avni turned to go to the washroom but she stopped. Avni thinks.

Avni: washroom's floor must be wet. Everyone used it today. Do one thing, change it here.

Neil was shocked.

Avni: yes…

Avni turned and Neil hid. Avni came near the bed and kept the dress on the bed. Avni starts unpinning her saree from the shoulder. Avni grinned.

Avni: tch.

Avni tried to open the pin and Neil was in shock. Neil was in a dilemma that what should he do? If he comes out then Avni will misunderstand him and if not then it will be wrong also how he can stay there. Neil was thinking and he peeped from the curtain. Avni kept the pin on the bed and Neil was shocked to see it. Neil turned his face and hid behind the curtain. Neil thinks.
