Chapter 07:

It was the time of morning, a plane flew into the airport and others were in the airport. In one of them, Avneil were present with other passengers. Neil was standing near the seat and was looking at the person shockingly. Not only, Neil but other person was also shocked and it was one and only Avni. Avni and Neil were looking at each other. Avni looked down and turned her face. Neil also looked down and he sat on his seat.

An air hostess showed the passengers how to tie the seat beat and Avni tried that and Neil saw her struggling and he thinks then Neil tied his seat beat and Avni saw that and did the same. Neil looked away and shook his head. Neil took the magazines which he brought with him and he opened it. Neil was turning the pages. He heard something and he frowned. Neil turned his face and was surprised to see Avni who was chanting something by joining her hands at her face. Neil frowned and then he smiled. Neil turned his face to the other side and smiled by keeping his hand on his lips. Neil looked at Avni and she started chanting fastly to hear the announcement and Neil smiled with a frown on his face. Neil shook his head.

Neil: Miss Namuna.

Avni heard that and she opened her eyes and then she looked at Neil. When Neil saw Avni is turning her face, he immediately turned his face and Avni thinks.

Avni in mind: did I really hear that word or that was my illusion?

Avni thinks. Avni heard the announcement and she panicked. Neil saw her tense.

Neil: you are first time travelling in a plane.

Avni nodded and was looking worried.

Neil: relax.

Avni didn’t turn her face and when the plane take off, she closed her eyes and held Neil's arm tightly that her nails dug into Neil’s skin. Neil felt pain but he didn’t move his hand back. He cursed his habit of making sleeves up.

When the plane was in the air then Avni opened her eyes and she took a breath. She sighed by closing her eyes and Neil checked his arm. The nails marked were there and the skin was also scratched. Avni opened her eyes and she drank water from the bottle and sighed. Neil looked at her angrily but not with much anger.

Neil showed his arm to Avni: thank you for these marks.

Avni was keeping the bottle in her mouth. She looked at Neil and water was still in her mouth. Avni saw the marks and widens her eyes. She was looking uber cute and Neil couldn’t help but he just stared at Avni. Avni gulped the water and looked at Neil and his mark sadly. Neil still found her cute.

Avni: I am sorry.

Neil smiled but then he tried to maintain a stern face. Neil turned his face and looked straight.

Neil: it’s ok.

Avni was sad for giving pain to Neil and was looking at him. She looked at Neil’s arm then she looked at her nails. Neil saw that and found that she has a heart of a child. Avni kept her hair behind her ear and saw the clouds. Neil saw her small tops and he smiled to think that Avni is different from other girls. Mostly, his female staff came into the office as they are going to the party or any function but Avni is different from them. Neil realized what he is doing then he turned to his magazine and resumed his work. Avni saw his magazine but she remain silent.

Soon, they reached their destination where the cars were waiting for them. They got in the car and this time, Avni makes sure that she does not go with Neil. Avni got in another car which disappoints Neil but he remained silent and soon, they reached the resort. Everyone got their room key.

Neil: now, everyone go and have a rest. We will meet in the night here. Ok?

Everyone: ok.

Neil nodded and said: Ok. DD.

DD looked at Neil who signed him and DD nodded. Neil looked at Avni who was looking at the resort.

Neil looked down and then he goes.

DD: ok, now everyone move to your room.

Everyone goes.

Neil was opening the door of his room and he heard footsteps. Neil turned his face and he saw Avni. Avni looked up and she stopped to see Neil for a while but then she looked down and came to her room. Neil stood properly and he turned his face. Avni and Neil’s rooms were opposite to each other. Avni went to her room. Neil thinks.

Avni came into her room and she saw the room. Avni liked the room but she remembered about her mother’s condition. Avni thinks.

After getting fresh, Avni came out of the washroom and she heard the knock on the door. Avni frowned and then she goes to open the door but not before covering her with the towel. Neil also came out of his room because his room was also knocked. Neil saw Avni and he was shocked to see her. Avni’s hair was wet and the water was dropping from her hair. Neil opened his mouth to see her but the most he liked is that she covered herself with the towel. Avni looked at Neil and then she looked at the man.

Man: Ma'am, your order.

Avni frowned.

Avni: but, I didn’t order anything.

Neil: ab, I ordered it for all.

Avni: oh.

Avni took the tray and said thank you to the man and she goes. Neil talked to the men and gave them tips and then he took the tray from the man. Neil looked at Avni’s room.

Neil: I ordered the food but she didn’t even say thank you to me.

The door opened and Neil looked there.

Avni: thank you, sir, for the food.

Neil got happy. He nodded seriously and Avni smiled. Avni closed the door and Neil smiled.

It was the time of night, the moon was shining over the beautiful resort which was lit by multiple lights. Neil was laying on the bed and was thinking about Avni and he smiled to recall her cute acts in the plane.

On the other side, Avni was sitting on the bed by resting her back on the head of the bed. She was thinking about something while rubbing her thumb and finger.

Avni in mind: 50 lacs. From where I will get this much money?

Avni thinks.

Avni in mind: who will give me this much heavy amount? From where I will arrange 50 lacs?

Avni was thinking.

Avni: Prakash sir? No, no, Avni, bad idea. Already, Neil sir doesn’t like you if you asked for the loan then maybe he fire you from the job… No, I can’t afford it. I have to think of something else.

Avni was lost in her thoughts.

On the other side, Neil was laying on the bed then he remembered that Avni was worried about something. He saw the doctor’s number on her cellphone. Neil sat on the bed and holds the mattress with both hands.

Neil: Avni was looking worried. And I am damn sure that it is related to her mother. Should I ask her? No, if I ask her then she will not share it with me and accepting my help is far away. What should I do? Who will I help her? Papa? No, she already refused to take his help… then now?

Neil thinks. He closed his eyes and ran his hand in his hair. Neil sighed. Neil opened his eyes and again he took a deep breath.

Neil: Don’t know, what is happening to me? Why I am not able to ignore her thoughts? Why I am getting attracted to her? Is it attraction or… love?

Neil thinks.

Neil: I don’t know what it is but I can’t see her sad. I really can’t.

Neil thinks. Neil turned his face and he picked up his phone from the side table. Neil dialled a number and he kept the phone at his ear.

Neil: Hello, DD.

DD: yes, sir.

Neil: DD, you have to do an important work but make sure that no one gets to know about it. It will be only between us, ok?

DD; ok, sir, don’t worry. It will be only between us.

Neil: good. So, DD, I want complete information of…

DD: ok, sir, think, your work is done. I will give you the report till tomorrow.

Neil: ok.

Neil cuts the call and his sighs. Neil thinks.

The next morning, Neil was sitting at the large table and was checking his emails on his cell phone everyone gathered one by one or in pairs They greet Neil and he gladly replied to them. They all were gathering in the café of the resort for breakfast and Neil also wants to assign them work. Of course, he didn’t bring them for the holidays. They have to work.

Sunehri whispered: DD, where did this Avni leave? Why she always come late.?Does she love to be scolded by sir?

DD: don’t worry, Sunehri, It is breakfast time, I am sure that sir will not scold her.

Sunehri: I hope so.

Neil was listening to them but he did not react and concentrate on his work. Neil looked for Avni and then he looked at his phone. Suddenly, Neil felt something and he looked up that’s it, his lady was coming from there.

Avni was coming by making her hair behind her ear. She looked up and smiled to see others but when she saw Neil, she lowered her gaze. Neil felt that and he looked down. Avni came.

Avni: good morning.

Everyone replied and Neil nodded by not looking at her. Avni sat.

Neil: so, everyone reached.

Riya: no, sir, Karan did not come till now.

Neil looked at her. He was about to say but Avni said before.

Avni: he is coming. He just got a call from his home.

Neil looked at Avni angrily and he clenched his fist on the table. DD noticed that and he looked at Neil. DD frowned. Neil looked away in anger and gulped his anger. Karan came and he sat on the chair while greeting them. Neil looked at Karan and his anger had no limit when he saw Karan sitting with Avni.

Neil: Mr. Karan Kapoor, you are late.

Karan and Avni looked at him.

Karan: sorry, sir, I got a call…

Neil shouted: I don’t care about your damn call… I don’t like anyone come last.

Karan didn’t like that but he remained silent and he looked down.

Karan: sorry, sir.

Neil looked at Avni.

Neil: and it is applicable on you also, Miss Mehta.

Avni nodded by looking down.

Neil: good.

Neil sighed.

Neil: anyways, let’s call the waiter.

Neil called the waiter and then they had breakfast silently and Neil was stealing gaze at Avni who was silently having breakfast and smiled to see the staff members. After breakfast, they started their work in a large room that they booked for their work. Everyone was doing their work.

Karan and Avni were sitting together on the couch.

Karan: don’t know, what is his problem, he is also taking work here as we are in the office.

Avni smiled.

Avni: well, we came here for work, not for the vacation.

Karan: I don’t mind to go on a vacation with you.

Avni looked at Karan who smiled.

Avni: don’t you get tired of this flirting?

Karan: with you? No.

Avni looked at her laptop and shook her head. They were smiling but Neil was burning in jealousy. He was sitting on the opposite side at the other side of the room and a laptop was kept on the table along with files and his cell phone

In the evening, Neil closed his laptop and he sighed.

Neil: ok guys, it’s a wrap for today. Go and have a rest but I want these files completed tomorrow’s morning.

Everyone said: yes, sir.

Avni nodded. Everyone goes except DD. Neil and DD were standing in the room.

Neil: any information?

DD: Yes, sir. Sir…

Neil was looking at the DD who gave him information. Neil thinks.
