Avni's pov,

Oh my God my dad told me to go and talk with neil. You can't even imagine that how much nervous I am but one thing is sure that I will not hide anything from him. He has to know that I am not upto his expectations.

Every guy wants a cool, romantic and fun loving girl not like me a typical introvert but I don't have any problem with it. I am in love with my self. It's totally upto neil that what he would decide about us.

My heart was beating 1000 km/second huff avni don't worry kha nahi jayega vo tujhe just relax. I calmed down myself and took a deep breath.

We came to the garden area, he was walking behind me. He was also silent, I stopped walking and stood near a bench that was placed in garden. I turned around facing him and saw him staring at me. I quickly looked down indicating towards the bench to sit.

He came near me and sat on the bench close to me I was still standing. I pinned my hair against my ear in nervousness.
Neil cleared his throat, I looked at him and he gestured beside him to sit.

I sat beside him looking down.

Avni's pov ends.

Neil: avni I know you are nervous but you don't have to. Speak to me like a friend. Agar ham abhi khul kar baat nahi karenge toh kabhi bhi ek dusre ko samajh nahi payenge. So feel free to say anything. If you wanna ask me something I am here to answer you. Don't feel hesitant okay?

Avni looked at him feeling relieved now.

Avni: ( looking down) main zyada baat nahi karti. I am silent in nature har koi chahta hai unka life partner expressive ho but main esi nahi hu aur

Neil: avni kisi ka nature esa hona insan ko bura nahi banata. I don't have any problem with it. I want only your happiness. If you are comfortable with me then I am okay with it. I want us to be together when I saw your photo first I instantly liked you. If you're comfortable you can share about your hobbies with me.

Avni looked at him hearing he liked her.

Avni: I completed my bsc recently, interviews bhi diye hai but abhi tak koi call nahi aaya. Mujhe music sun na bohot pasand hai aur books padhna bhi. Aur main dieting bilkul nahi karti mera jo man hota hai vo main kha leti hu. Waise to mujhe sab kuch pasand hai but maa ke haath ki biryani, pizza aur Chinese mera favourite hai and not to forget icecream and chocolates are my first love.

She started speaking forgetting her initial hesitation. And Neil who was keenly listening her like a obedient child straightened his back hearing first love.

Neil: accha toh second love kon hai?

He thought she would take his name but

Avni: shahrukh Khan. You know I love him the most. His style, his way of speaking, his nature everything.

And Neil face fell hearing this.

Neil: ( in mind) of course buddhu vo tera naam kyu legi aaj hee to mile hai hum.

Avni looked at him and realised that how close they were sitting. Their legs brushing with each other. Avni looked down blushing. Neil looked at her and found her blushing.

He smiled.

Neil: maine apni police training complete ki hai ab kuch dino baad main join bhi hone wala hu.

Avni: you are police officer?

Neil: haa. Mujhe friends ke saath hangout karna bohot accha lagta hai. And yeah I am also foodie like you so don't worry about that. Ek hi toh life mili hai usse bhi dieting karke Barbaad karde never.

She chuckled looking down.

And they got busy in talking forgetting that their family were waiting for them inside. Avni started opening up infront of neil whereas Neil was just staring at her whole time. Aman came there to call them inside.

Neil: just 2 minutes aman please.

Aman: okay

And he went from there.

Neil: so what's your decision? Nobody will pressurized you avni. From me its yes but your decision matters to me the most.

Avni looked at him feeling contented by his nature and heartfelt talks.

Avni nodded her head looking down.

Neil: means its yes but I want to hear from your mouth.

Avni: haa I'm ready.

Neil smiled and blinked his eyes.

They stood up and went inside. As soon as they stepped in all the family members stood up and looked at them curiously to know their answers.

Neil looked at avni and intertwined his hand with hers. While avni looked down blushing. And all of them got their answer.

They hugged each other and decided to do roka today. But before that neil asked avni's opinion if she wanted this or not. Avni's family was overwhelmed seeing Neil's love and care towards avni. They were now tension free because their daughter is in safe hands.

Avni said yes looking into Neil's eyes for the first time. She is still thinking how she got so lucky to have neil as her life partner.

Later they did their roka ceremony. Shweta gave avni the bangles that belonged to their ancestors. While ashish and neela gave an envelope to Neil.

After that they were about to go but ashish requested them to stay till dinner. And this instantly brought a smile on Neil's face. He looked at avni who was standing little far from him. He walked near her and stood beside her.

Neil: congratulations

Avni looked at him and smiledd.

Avni: aapko bhi

Neil's heart flutters hearing aap from her mouth.

Neil: you can call me by my name

Avni nodded her head looking down. This was all very new to her so it would take sometime for her to get comfortable. And Neil also didn't pressure her for anything.

Neil's pov,

Only I know how I controlled my self to not dance infront of her when she said yes. I am on cloud nine right now and just one song is coming in my mind.

Aaj main upar aasman niche, aaj main aage zamaana hai piche. Literally I am overwhelmed with so many emotions right now.

Though I wanted to spend sometime with her before we go home but mom took her with her in room to talk. And here I am sitting with her father I mean ab to mere bhi papa hue toh papa and aman.

I was waiting impatiently for avni but she didn't come. I got sad and rubbed my forehead to calm myself. We met for the first time few hours ago and here I am behaving like a despo. I sat there thinking about her.

The way she speaks, her long black hair, her expressive eyes, her sweet voice everything is so perfect about her. Oh I miss her more now.

But god listened to my prayers and she came down with her and my mom. Mom made her sit beside me and she looked down in shyness. Uff my poor heart. I want to hold her hand but everyone were sitting around us so I dropped the idea.

Time flies so quickly at least for me. We were sitting for the dinner. I kept on looking at her through the corner of my eyes she is sitting beside me and mom infront of her. she was talking with my mother smiling.

Mujhse bhi baat karlo. Later we had our lunch and mom was talking with papa and maa ( ashish & neela) at doorstep. While avni was behind listening their talks.

I looked at aman and gestured him something. He nodded and I went to garden area from the back door.

I was standing there tapping my foot impatiently. When I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw aman coming towards me with avni holding her hand.

Avni got surprised seeing me. Aman winked at me and went from there teasing us. Avni looked at his retreating figure turning her face behind.

I cleared my throat, she looked at me then looked down fidgeting her fingers.
I held her hand in mine and intertwined our fingers.

I kissed the back of her hand gently, I could hear her racing heartbeat. She was breathing heavily.

Neil's pov ends.

Neil: look at me avni.

She nodded her head in no. Neil chuckled and pulled her chin up.

Neil: can I get your number?

Avni nodded looking into his eyes. They exchanged their numbers.

And he stood there rubbing the back of his neck. Gaining some courage he opened his arms wide to embrace her. She looked at him for a second then hugged him wrapping her tiny hands around his torso and placed her head on his chest.

She was more than comfortable with him. Around him she feels safe. Neil also wrapped his arms around her gently and closed his eyes feeling contented.

They broke the hug and he went from there saying her bye. She smiled and shook her head thinking about him.

And yeah this will be the three shot not two shot.
