It was the time of the morning, the birds were hovering in folks in the sky. The sun was also shining but the cold breeze of the morning was also hitting the walls. Neil was standing on the terrace and was looking at Avni who was sleeping. Suddenly, Neil flinched because someone pulled him back. Neil looked at the person and got angry.

Neil: Ali, what is this behaviour?

Ali: behaviour aur jo tu kar raha hai woh? Woh kya hai?

Neil was looking at him.

Ali: Shukar mana ke main time per agaya warna pakra jata. Neela aunty samne se arahi thi.

Neil was shocked.

Ali: Agar main aaj time per nahi aata to teri izat ka to falooda ban jana tha.

Neil was looking at Ali.

Ali: ho kya gaya hai tujhe? Char din nahi howe humain yahan aur tujhe Avni se itni shidat wala pyaar ho gaya hai ke tu us ke bina ek pal nahi reh paa raha. Bilkul Majnu ban gaya hai.

Neil looked down. Ali shook his head and turned while going: Roadside Romeo kahin ka.

Neil was looking at Ali who was going. Neil thinks.

Ali was sitting on the bed on the terrace. Neil came and sat beside him. Neil was looking down. Ali looked away.

Neil: you are right, Ali.

Ali was listening to him.

Neil: don't know, what happened to me? Main khud hairan hun ke akhir ho kya gaya hai mujhe. Jab se, jis pal se Avni ko dekha hai tab se bus usi ke bare main soche ja raha hun. Main kahin bhi hun woh har jaga hai mere sath. I, I just...

Neil sighed. Ali looked at Neil.

Ali: You just...

Neil looked at Ali. Neil looked down.

Ali: jab tu Avni ko like karta hai to tu han kyun nahi kar deta is rishte ke liye.

Neil shook his head.

Neil: Nahi, Ali. Mere akele ke like karne se kuch nahi hota main bhi to Avni ko pasand hona chahiye hun na. Agar maine han kar di to is se Avni ke liye problem ho sakti hai. Us ki family usay force kar sakti hai jo main nahi chahta.

Ali: to tu kya chahta hai?

Neil looked at Ali.

Neil: Main chahta hun Avni khud apne dil se humare rishte ko accept kare na ke kisi ke pressure main aa kar. Isi liye main diye gaye time ka wait kar raha hun.

Ali smiled.

Ali: Tu to sach main Majnu ban gaya hai.

Neil smiled then he looked down. Neil thinks.

Later, Avni and Neil saw each other near the fields and they go to each other.

Neil: Hi.

Avni: Hi.

Neil: so, kaisi rahi kal raat?

Avni was surprised.

Neil: woh Kaka ne bataya kal raat ke light issue ke bare main.

Avni: Oh.

Neil smiled.

Avni: It was good. Mujhe laga nahi tha ke mujhe nend ayegi bahar but thankfully agai.

Neil smiled.

Neil: maza aya.

Avni: hmm, it was a good experience.

Neil: I told you.

They smiled.

Neil: Come, let me show you our fields and gardens.

Avni smiled. Avni and Neil were walking in the fields and talking. They were smiling and enjoying the moment. Later, Avni and Neil were sitting on the bed at the fruit farm where they were enjoying mango.

Neil: umm, yahan aane se pehle maine itna fresh mango kabhi nahi khaya.

Avni: Maine bhi. It is so yummy.

Neil: Yeah.

Neil looked at Avni and saw the pulp of mango on Avni's lips and he got attracted to her. Neil gulped and Avni was busy eating mango.

Neil moved to Avni and he licked the mango from the corner of Avni's lips. Avni was shocked and she looked at Neil who was looking at Avni's lips. Avni got angry, she pushed Neil and got. Neil was shocked. Neil looked at Avni and got up.

Neil: Avni.

Avni: how dare you?

Avni gave a tight slap to Neil's face who came out of his weirdest dream. Neil was sitting by keeping his hand on his cheek.

Neil looked at Avni and he was shocked to see her wiping her hand with the tissue. Neil frowned and looked around. Neil thinks.

Neil: was that my imagination?

Neil thinks and he was still in shock. Avni looked at Neil who was sitting by keeping his hand on his cheek. Avni frowned.

Avni: Neil?

Neil looked at Avni.

Avni: what happened?

Neil: han?

Avni: kya howa? Yeh cheek per hath rakh kar kyun bethe ho?

Neil frowned and soon he realized what Avni said. Neil took away his hand and was embarrassed.

Neil: woh, woh. Kisi cheeze ne kat liya.

Avni: dikhao.

Avni forwarded her hand to check and Neil got frightened so, he blocked her by keeping his arms in front of his face. Avni was shocked.

Avni: main maar nahi rahi, dekh rahi hun.

Neil: oh. It's ok, ab theek hai.

Avni made a face and held Neil's face. Avni checked and Neil was looking at her. Neil saw Avni's neck and he gulped.

Avni: Kuch bhi to nahi hai.

Avni looked at Neil who also looked at her. Their eyes were locked. They were lost in their world but they came out of their thoughts by hearing the ring of the phone. They looked down and Avni looked at her phone. She took her phone and was looking down.

Avni: mamma. Main abhi ayi.

Neil nodded by not looking at Avni. Avni got up and goes. Neil kept his hand on his eyes and sighed.

Neil: thank God woh dream tha.

Neil cupped his mouth then he hit his head.

Neil: Idiot. Kya kar raha tha? Agar ase Avni ki taraf attract hota raha to woh din dur nahi jab sach main thapar parega.

Neil was angry then he sighed. Avni came back. Neil got up to see Avni.

Avni: Mujhe jana hoga. Mamma ne bulaya hai.

Neil nodded.

Neil: chalo. Main sath main chalta hun.

Avni: it's ok, main chali jaungi.

Neil: mujhe bhi wahin jana hai. Sath main hi ghar hain. Chalo.

Avni nodded. They go.

Some days passed like this and Avni and Neil daily meets on the terrace at the night and also meet coincidentally or intentionally in the fields and fruit farm where they enjoy the seasonal fresh fruits. Neil was clear about his feelings but Avni didn't understand her feelings till now. She likes Neil and had developed feelings for him but it is love or not. She doesn't know.

One night, Neil and Avni were sitting on the wall of the terrace and they were looking at the sky. Neil looked at Avni then he thinks. Neil looked at Avni.

Neil: Avni.

Avni: hmm.

Avni looked at him who looked down.

Neil: Avni, ab, kya decision hai tumhara?

Avni frowned.

Avni: Kis bare main?

Neil was looking at Avni. He was paused for some time.

Neil: humare bare main.

Avni was surprised.

Neil: Humare alliance ke bare main.

Avni looked down.

Neil: Avni, don't get me wrong. Lekin Bee ji ne humain one week ka time diya tha to kya socha hai tum ne. Tumhariii...

Neil smiled.

Neil: main bhi abhi soch raha hun.

Avni: Yeah. I mean, shadi ek do din ka khel to nahi hai na hum ase kaise ek week main decide kar sakte hain.

Neil smiled faintly.

Neil: Yeah. Right.

Avni smiled. Avni looked at the sky and Neil was looking at her then Neil looked down.

Later, Neil was laying on the bed under the open sky and he was looking at the sky. His friends were sleeping. Neil was lost in his thoughts.

Neil in mind: ek week hone wala hai aur Avni ab tak decide nahi kar pai ke woh humare alliance ke liye ready hai bhi ya nahi. Kyun, Avni, kya kami hai mujh main? Kyun mera pyar tumhe dikhai nahi de raha? Kyun tum mere pyar ko mehsus nahi kar paa rahi? Kyun?

Neil thinks.

Neil: kya mera pyaar ek tarfa hi rahega? Kya mera pehla pyaar adhura reh jaega?

Neil was shocked. Neil felt his heart heavy and his throat was aching. Neil sat on the bed and he was panting. Avni has become his lifeline. His passion.

On the other side, Avni was laying on the bed. She was thinking about Neil. She sat on the bed.

Avni: Neil ne sahi kaha ek week hone wala hai. Bee ji ka diya gaya time pura hone wala hai. Kya jawab dungi main?

Avni thinks.

Avni: Neil acha hai. Bohat acha hai. Even perfect hai. Good looking hai, well-mannered hai. Bilkul waisa hi hai jaisa life partner mujhe chahiye hai lekin... itna jaldi itna bara decision kaise liya ja sakta hai? Puri life ka sawal hai. Do parivaron ki baat hai. Humara ek galat decision do parivaron ki salon ki dosti main darar paida kar sakta hai.

Avni thinks and bites her lower lip.

The next day was not as usual. Avni and Neil didn't meet because Neil went to the city with Prakash for some work and the Mehta ladies went to meet relatives. Avni was not interested but who can say no to Bari Dadi. Avni made a face and they go.

It was the time of night, Avni was standing by leaning against the wall on the terrace and she was waiting for Neil. She was holding her cell phone.

Avni: Neil abhi tak wapis nahi aya.

On the other side, Neil came out after taking shower and he was wiping his hair with the towel. Neil was in hurry.

Neil: Jaldi kar, Neil, Avni wait kar rahi hogi.

Neil goes to the dressing table and brushed his hair. Avni was waiting for Neil and the gunshot echoed. Avni flinched and the cell phone fell from her hand. Neil turned his face and was shocked. Avni shivered because of fear.
