Who am I?

I have been asking myself that question for a long time now.... And every time I did... I didn't have an answer. It never bothered me before but for the past 5 years this has been a question constantly circling around my mind like an annoying fly or mosquito.

Now you may be wondering why now all of a sudden...? Well 5 years ago I lost the only family I had to the homicidal maniac grape. Thanos I think his name was but most of the people who survived are scared to say his name as if he is Voldemort... Not that I blame them though. Cuz it's natural to be scared. It's a survival instinct, it has kept us alive for all these years. The first human to lose their family member to a crocodile in a river had never felt the immense grief and guilt before. For the first time they had lost someone close to them in an instant. And that's exactly why they grew scared of the crocodile and tried their very best to not aggravate it further. Because they knew that underestimating the crocodile was their biggest mistake. Now if they were to aggravate the crocodile even further they would lose everyone and maybe even themselves so they stayed away...
This is kinda like that just that Thanos was the crocodile.

Life after the snap had been nothing short of horrifc. Everyone and I mean everyone that ever meant something to me all vanished. To dust.

(Flashback)

"Uh Si? Something doesn't feel right." One of the kids in my care said quietly. I quickly spun around to see a dust like material coming off of her. What was going on it looked as if she was falling apart. I raced towards her as she started to collapse to the floor and I threw myself down with her.

"Hey hey hey...what's going on." I asked frantically whilst trying to scrounge for invisible answers.

"Sia...it h-hurts really bad." She sobbed. I quickly pulled her into my arms and rested her on my kneeled legs.

"Look at me Via...you are okay...look. At. Me." I shifted her head to look in my eyes in hopes that she would see the sincerity in them. "You are okay just hold on to me and just look up okay." I wanted to prevent her seeing her slowly dusting body because of how terrifying that could be for a 9 year old.

Eventually all of her went and the only thing remaining was the dust remnants. Completely overwhelmed, I just stared at where Via lay. I couldn't think about what was just happening right infront of me.

Once I realised what actually happened I tore myself away from the floor and raced around my house in order to find the other kids but they were all gone. I reached one of the rooms just in time to see the oldest resident (except me) fade away. He was a 23 year old called Benny. I assumed his wife and daughter was dusted aswell because I was the only one left.

I was alone. Tears flowed down my cheeks causing them to pinken slightly. A gut wrenching sob erupted from me and I couldn't stop it. They were gone. All of them.

(Now)

I snapped out of my thoughts quite quickly when an explosion occurred in the game that I was live streaming.

"I'm fine guys sorry just lost focus...anyway at the moment their are tonne of bad guys coming at me right now  so I'm just going to cry." I joked as I tapped at my keyboard aggressively. "There are so many oh- Oh I got them." In excitement I twirled my chair around but when I looked back at the monitor one of the aliens ripped my throat our. "Well I guess not."

"Calm down noob mas-" I was half way through my sentence when I heard Danny call out to me. "Hey Sia... Some people just popped in the house out of nowhere!." Huh? Who's in the house?
"Hold on guys I'm just going to take my headset off for a minute. I'll be back. "

I slowly made my way to the play room and kneeling on the play mat was a red haired little girl. I guess she heard my footsteps cause she turned around. I recognized her... The grey eyes that loved so much stared right back at me with the same love and innocense that melted my heart. Via.

Out of shock I gasped and fell down in front the sheer suprise. She was back. I was still trying to process what I was seeing when her little voice spoke. "Si?" I just froze. This couldn't be real she was gone, they all where. "Are you okay?" She asked as if nothing happened.

When I finally snapped out of it I threw my arms around her and pulled her into a right hug. "Oh my sweet girl. My sweet sweet girl are you okay?" I cried out hoping that it was real this time and not one of my hallucinations. But Danny saw her as well... So she must be real... Right?

"Why are you crying?"

"Do you not remember...you got dusted but now you're here and that's all I care about." I buried my head in her little shoulders and sobbed quietly. However my crying was cut off when Benny and his wife Laura walked in with their little baby girl Nora.

I quickly pried my arms from Via and ran to give them a hug aswell. I placed a kiss on top of Nora's head before giving her along hug aswell. "Are you guys alright aswell?" I looked at Laura and then to Benny.

"We are okay...where is everyone else? And who's that" He asked pointing at Danny in confusion.

When he said that I ran past him and looked around the house in hopes of finding other kids. To my luck there they were just chilling on their beds as if nothing happened. But when I went in and hugged them it all felt better.

They were back again.
