SWAN SONG.

told in three parts 

VOLUME I: 

reformation (the  life) 

they lived in a red brick condominium on a quiet street, a safe street. her brother graduated high school, he took nighttime college courses as he trained to go into the US army. she had choir lessons every other day. far from a world of danger. they were dynamite wrapped a baby's blanket. 

VOLUME II: 

decimation (the death)

she needed immediate vocal surgery. a routine operation turned to destruction. a broken voice and a withering spirit. her brother dropped out of college to help provide in her recovery. every night, civil war broke out behind their red front door. this was the start of her awakening. 

VOLUME III: 

contamination (the in-between) 

halfway between city streets, dust fills their lungs. in-between, a weight falls on top of her. when they come back, there is a bird in the middle of the road. quivering in her hands, the driver looks into her eyes. he swerves, she's too horrifying, he's too afraid, he has to move (he doesn't know why). her brother bleeds out as she breaks the world apart.

NOTE: 

guys. GUYS. this is it, this is my magmum opus, literally one of the best concepts i've ever come up with, this plot has not left my mind since the first moon knight trailer dropped. and yes, i'm about to give plagiarisers everything they could possibly want with this whole chapter but honestly i don't care. 

first, the summary is supposed to be like that!! just snippets of the actual plot, but this fic is basically going to be my way of incorporating mutants into the mcu as it stands today, and i have an explanation for how i'm going to do this but you'll have to wait and see when it comes out!! this story is also VERY loose with it's ties to actual mcu, i'm going to be changing a lot of canon, reworking certain plot points, and a lot of the story is entirely my own plot, though it will follow the structure of the marvel comics (specifically the first volume of matt fraction's hawkeye series). 

swan song explores the story of harper cain, an 18 year old girl who, after coming back from the Snap, develops uncannily dangerous abilities that kills her brother and isolates her from the world. without giving away exactly what her powers are just yet, think a mixture of kilgrave from jessica jones and doctor crane (scarecrow) from chris nolan's dark knight trilogy... 

as you could probably tell from the synopsis, this fic is my way of exploring new mediums of writing. some of this fic will be written in a screenplay format, some may be written in second-person, or in shifting perspective changes like markus zusak's the book thief, i'm not sure!!
