Today has been hectic, we have been moving from one boring board meeting to meetings with investors and other business partners. I'm currently in my office trying to catch my breath, I can't help but remember the conversation with massimo in his room two weeks ago on issy's birthday.
Flashback
A-M:"what are you doing?"
Massimo:"what did you mean by what you said earlier Skai"
A-M:"what?"
Massimo:"john? Boyfriend?"
A-M:"oh that, yeah, I have a boyfriend now"
Massimo:"since when?"
A-M:"yesterday"
Massimo:"break up with him"
A-M:"what?!..."
Massimo:"I said..."
A-M:"I heard what you said, No! I won't"
Massimo:"please"
A-M:"No massimo, I like him"
Massimo:"you don't"
A-M:"I do."
Massimo:"I'll fix everything and you'll be mine, exclusively mine, soon."

I really like John and feel something for him, but what I feel for massimo is stronger and I'm scared that will be my undoing. Massimo has been pretty chilled, but gets tensed and acts out when John comes to my office. That's part of the reason why we moved to another of his company to work from there, even though he refuses to admit it, he keeps saying there's some work here which he needs to attend to, but there's really some work to be done here, but could it be a coincidental?

Massimo:"thinking bout me Ms Phillips?"
I'm drawn out of my thoughts by none other, I roll my eyes and when I'm about to respond, my phone rings
A-M:"excuse me"
I look at my phone and its 'baby 😙' calling, that's John by the way
A-M:"hey baby"
John:"hey babe, how's work going?"
I look up at massimo to see him glaring at the phone with a deep frown on his handsome, I mean on his face... Keep it together damn!
John:"that bad?"
Since I didn't say anything he assumed it was going bad, I squeezed my eyes shut
A-M:"well, it's going"
He chuckles
John:"sorry, at least you're not reading loads and loads of manuscripts"
I let out a short laugh, I hear my door shut and I look up to see the space where massimo was standing in now empty,such a drama queen.
A-M:"I actually miss doing that you know"
John:"want us to trade places"
I laugh
A-M:"as if!... Are you still picking me up today after work?"
John:"yes babe"
We talk some more and then I hang up. I'm sleeping over at John's tonight, that's why he's picking me up after work.
The intercom buzzes and duty calls, I hate my job right now! Anyway my birthday is on Friday, I can't wait! I still don't know why I'm excited though.

Finally done for today, massimo and I exit the building
Massimo:"I'll drop you off at home, I'm taking that route for a meeting"
A-M:"uh, John is on his way here to pick me, thanks for the offer though"
He just gives me a firm nod. John parks in front of us and opens the front door for me, he greets massimo, who nods as a reply and gets in his own car and drives off, I watch him drive off, I don't know why, but I feel bad.
John:"what's gotten in his pants?"
I shrug as a reply and get in the car.

A few minutes later we get to John's apartment, it's really well designed and surprisingly neat and in order for a guy. We watch a few movies and talk and order Chinese, then we go to bed. John kisses me, I tense up at first because i wasn't expecting it, then he tugs on my top to remove it, but I stop him
John:"I'm sorry, we don't have to, if you don't want to..."
A-M:"you don't have to apologise"

I don't know why but, I don't want to be intimate with him. I've been intimate with just one person in my life, massimo. He was my first and I don't know why, but I feel like I have to remain loyal to him. I can't kiss John without thinking of him, I can't look at him without comparing him to massimo, it seems like my entire world revolves around massimo and he's always on my mind.
What is wrong with me?!

The next day work goes smooth, but it seems like massimo is avoiding me. When he's talking to me he doesn't keep eye contact like he used to, or look at me the way he used to and surprisingly I miss it. I'm meeting up with Tania and Sharon later today at a pub in town, I really need to tell someone how I feel, cos it's confusing even for me.

Someone walks right past my door towards massimo's and I quickly follow the person and I see its Danielle and she looks pissed!
A-M:"Danielle! Hi, he's busy at the moment, if you'll just wait..."
Danielle:"shut it bitch! Get out of my way!"
She barges into his office and I follow
Danielle:"what do you mean by you called off the wedding massimo?"
She's not speaking in her usual fake high pitch sweet tone. wait, called off the wedding? I look at massimo, who looks really calm as he's looking at me, completely ignoring her. Danielle follows his gaze and her eyes widen as she looks at me
Danielle:"is it because of this bitch?!"
She walks over to me and grabs my arm really tight, before I can react massimo literally rips her off me, then examines my arm and when he sees a mark there from the force she used to grab me, his face contorts and I've never seen him this angry as he turns to glare at Danielle, I think she too just noticed just how angry he is, as she literally squirms where she's standing and she looks scared
Massimo:"Get. Out. Now!"
He says slowly between his teeth and she hurriedly walks past him and when she gets to the door she turns and glares at me then him
Danielle:"you'll regret this!"
Then she slams the door
Massimo:"are you okay?"
Ignoring his question
A-M:"you called off the wedding? Why?"
He looks at me intently
Massimo:" I told you I'll fix everything"
I'm looking at him with wide eyes, I can't believe this.
