You know the kind of castles we see in fairytale books and animation, the kind where cinderella lived with her Prince or the type where the royals in a movie live? Well, it's right in front of me and I'm sure my mouth is agape.
Massimo:"come let's go inside"
He holds my hand, gently leading me into the castle-like mansion. I've never seen anything like this and I'm going to have dinner in here? Just how loaded are these guys? A butler greets us infront of the entrance and we're led to where the family is seated in the living area and we can hear them talking and laughing, I wonder how many people I'm meeting today.
When we walk in they stop talking and look at us, a young woman runs towards us and hugs massimo. There's an older man who looks like massimo with the same baby blue eyes, who I'm guessing is his father, an older woman too,who looks so graceful and elegant, there's another man who looks like massimo too but he has grey eyes like the older woman, then there's another woman she's so pretty and then the younger girl, wow everyone here looks so pretty,now I feel out of place
Brenda:"fratello! come stai, mi sei mancato!" (brother! How are you? I've missed you)
She says as she kisses his cheeks as a greeting and he hugs her
Massimo:"piacere di vederti anche tu sorella" (nice to see you too sister)
She notices me and smiles at me and then looks at her and wiggles her brows
Brenda:"hello, I'm Brenda Valastro, Massimo's younger sister"
She waves at me with a very broad smile
A-M :"hi, I'm Skai Phillips, Mr valastro's PA"
I reply and stretch my hand for her to shake and she hugs me instead
Mrs V:"oh my, Brenda! Let them come here too, we've missed him too you know?"
She laughs and holds my hand leading me to the others
Brenda:"everyone meet Skai Phillips, she's Massimo's PA"
Mrs V:"nice to meet you Skai, I'm Maria, Massimo's mother. I'm so sorry about Brenda, she tends to get really excited sometimes"
She says with a small laugh
A-M :"same here ma'am... It's not a problem"
Mrs V:"you can call me Maria sweetie"
Juliana:"hi, I'm juliana, his big sister, nice to meet you"
She says calmly, she has this warmth about her, I like her
Raúl:"hey I'm Raúl, nice to meet you skai"
He says with a smile and I smile back
Mr V:"I'm Raúl Valastro snr, massimo's papa, nice to meet you"
He places a kiss on my hand and his wife smacks his hand and glares at him, and everyone laughs at him
Mrs V:"don't mind him! He has a very sweet mouth"
Mr V:"I remember you fell for this sweet mouth honey"
Brenda makes a gagging sound and we laugh again.
We make conversation, Brenda is a super model and she's just 20 years old, she's so beautiful and humble. Juliana is a medical doctor, she's 31 making her older than Massimo with 3 years. Raúl jnr is in charge of their family business, they own a vineyard/winery and he took over when their parents retired, he's 35 years old. Juliana is married to Tom and Raúl is married to his high school sweetheart Vanessa,they have two boys.

We move to the dining area, massimo is seated to my right and Brenda is seated to my left. After saying grace, we are about to start eating
Danielle:"hello... Were you guys about to start without me?"
I hear Brenda mutter 'bitch'
Danielle:"my lovely Brenda, did you say something?"
She says with a fake smile, seems to me like they aren't exactly friends
Brenda:"oh dear Danielle, I was just wondering what you're doing here?"
Danielle:"isn't that obvious? We're having dinner, right baby?"
She says looking at massimo, who has been tensed since she came in and everyone turns to look at him
Brenda:"baby? Massimo what's going on?"
Danielle grins
Danielle:"we're getting married"
Raúl jnr, chokes on his wine and spits it out...

What a revelation... I like massimo's family though, they're cool
