Ginevra:"I'm turning 5 soon."
A-M:"wow, that must be exciting, right?"

A-M:"I'm sure you'll have a lot of friends over for your birthday"
Ginevra:"well I don't have friends, but you're my friend now, so I'll invite you"
She says with a smile and that makes me stop my work. Poor baby! Why doesn't she have any friends?
A-M:"of course I will come if you invite me. Don't you have friends at school too?"
Ginevra:"no I don't. They make fun of me"

Ginevra:"yaaay! No, papa and I are going out for dinner. I will colour"
I nod and bring out her colours and hand her some empty sheets of papers to colour or draw, while I work.
A few minutes later, I'm done with my work. My shoes are off and ismerelda and I are on the floor of my office drawing and colouring and laughing, when the door bursts open.
Ginevra:"papa!"
She stands and runs to him, I stand too and straighten my skirt. He has a genuine smile etched on his face. I can't believe this, he can smile?
Massimo:"thank you Ms Philips, for looking after Ginevra"
A-M:"sure sir"
Massimo:"princess get your things, let's go"
Ginevra:"okay papa!"
She's so happy to see her father, these two warm my heart. They're so adorable, I really wonder where her mum is.

Mr valastro has a shocked look on his face, but quickly covers it with his usual blank expression.
Work closes for the day in 10 minutes, I quickly gather my things and make my way to the general car park where John is waiting for me, he texted me he'll be waiting.
A-M:"hey"

He asks as he pulls out of the parking lot into the road.

We start laughing, then the laughter dies down.
John:"I want to apologise for how I treated you in the past Skai. You know, passing your ideas as mine, I'm really sorry, I was hungry for power and I hurt a lot of people's feelings, you included, I'm sorry, please forgive me"
A-M:"hmmn... I forgave you a long time ago John"
John:"thanks, I really appreciate"
We arrive my apartment in no time and we say our goodbye's and I walk into my apartment.
When I walk in, I perceive food, I get alarmed. Ace is out of town and if Jacob was here, he'll let me know so I don't freak out. As I approach my kitchen, I hear humming, what?
When I get to the kitchen, I see my mum. Omg!
A-M:"mum!"
Jane:"my baby!"
We hug each other and scream at the same time. I'm so happy to see my mum, I haven't seen her since New years, making it 7 months since I last saw my parents.
A-M:"you should have called mum. How did you even get in?"
Jane:"well i wanted to surprise you, I got a key from Jacob, Ace isn't in town. I'm so happy to see you child! You look all grown up and mature, my baby isn't a baby anymore."
A-M:"oh mum! I've missed you, dad, Lava! How's everyone back home? Has Lava applied for any college's yet? How is dad?"
I see her face sink as I ask after my dad.
A-M:"what's wrong mum? What's wrong with dad? Is he okay?"
Jane:"lets get something to eat first, you go freshen up and after eating we'll talk about everything"
A-M:"okay..."
Something is definitely wrong. Lava would've told me right? Lava is my younger sister, I love her to death! I'm about 5 years older than her. But what's wrong with my dad? I hope it's nothing bad! I've had an eventful couple of weeks, I can't add bad news to the list...
