I can't believe I woke up late, if only I had remembered to set my alarm. Shit! Shit! Shit! I get ready in a hurry, nothing fancy. I tie my hair in a high ponytail. My outfit comprises of a dark green pencil skirt and a black top, with sandal heels. I don't even bother with makeup.
I rush out of the house and it's like the universe is not against me today, I have a feeling today's gonna be a good day. The moment I step out of the house, I see a taxi. I arrive on the sixth floor at 8am sharp. That was close. Tania is currently briefing me on the activities of the day, she gives me Mr Valastro's schedule and shows me my office. Its really beautiful in here, not like the tiny cubicle space I had on the third floor. Tania informs me I can decorate it to my liking and I agree it needs my touch.
After the tour, she takes me into the kitchenette, where she shows me how the boss likes his coffee. After making the coffee, I take it to him, I make a quick stop in my office to get my journal to write down whatever he might want, Tania advised I always go into his office with a journal.
I knock and I hear a small come in. I place the coffee on his table and stand, next to the chair opposite him. While I wait for him to tell me what I need to do, I admire God's fine creation in front of me. Damn! The man is smoking hot...
Massimo:"see anything you like Ms Phillips?"
I gulp and he lifts his head from the document he was reading and looks at me. I nearly squirm, the man is oozing power! Where is that confidence when you need it? I try to not show him I'm scared and put on my best poker face.
He begins addressing me on what to do and scheduling and shows me where to get the documents for filing and all. Its going to be a filled day. Yaaay, note my excitement, not.

So far, I've been able to make all the calls, fix appointments, file most of the documents alphabetically, the day is going well until...
Massimo:"get me my coffee!"
His voice booms through the intercom. Did he have to shout? What's his deal with shouting anyway?
On my way back from the kitchenette, as I walk towards his office, I hear someone calling my name.
John:"Skai!"
A-M:"hey John, how're you?"
John:"I'm good, just came up here to drop these... How's the new office"
He shows me the documents he's holding, I guess to give them to me or Tania.
A-M:"I'll really love to stay and chat. But I'm in a hurry. Or maybe you wait for me here"
John:"okay, I'll wait"
I quickly walk off to Mr Valastro's office.
Massimo:"oh you finally made it, I thought I would have to wait for you to fraternize with the entire staff before bringing the coffee."
A-M:"I'm sorry sir... I saw Mr Harris..."
Massimo:"that's enough! Take the coffee back and make a new one, be back in lightspeed"
I'm so mad right now, but there's nothing I can do. I just nod and leave for the kitchenette. How did he even know I spoke with John on the way? Well, he owns the damn company. I see John still standing where I left him and I tell him to give me a moment and he just nods in understanding.
A-M:"here you go sir... I'm really sorry about..."
He doesn't even let me finish before he cuts in.
Massimo:"get your stuff ready and meet me by the elevator, I have a meeting and I need my personal assistant"
A-M:"but sir..."
Massimo:"Ms Phillips were you about to question me?"
He says as he steps towards me, his brow raised as though daring me to defy him. I just nod no
Massimo:"good, now, go on, I don't want to be late."
I quickly turn and walk out of his office. What the hell just happened? I think it got hotter in there, he was super close to me, I almost hugged him. I know I'm silly for thinking that way, I mean the man was basically scolding me and I was thinking of hugging him, I need a lovelife before I do something crazy i will regret.
Wait he didn't even take the coffee, that man! Arrgghhhhh
As I approach my office, I see John leaning against the wall waiting for me. Arrrggghhh!
A-M:"I'm so sorry John."
John:"it's fine, I understand"
A-M:"thank you... I'll pass the file to Mr Valastro's desk."
I tell him as I take the file from him. But it seems he wants to tell me something.
John:"I was wondering, if I could take you for lunch, I don't think you've had anything."
Before I can answer, we hear a voice that makes us snap our necks almost at the same time
Massimo:"that won't be necessary, she's having lunch with me. You can go back to your work now Mr Harris"
John looks defeated while I look completely surprised and confused.
Massimo:"Ms Phillips? Anytime now?"
A-M:"uh... Yes sir, I'll just grab my purse. John I'll call you later"
He smiles, nods and walks away.
