We finally make it to his office. He walks to his chair, shrugs off his jacket, and I notice how his white shirt clings to his muscular build like a second skin, talk about sexy!
Massimo:"I didn't call you up here to stare at me"
A-M:"I'm sorry sir"
He rolls his eyes and gestures for me to take the seat opposite him.
Massimo:"So, I've been going through the records of the employees in my establishment, to find an efficient assistant, as the old one got fired almost 2 weeks ago and the work load is increasing as Tania is burdened with both her duties and that of my assistant. So, you fit the qualities I am looking for, so you have been promoted to my personal assistant. Effective tomorrow morning, you're to report here by 8am sharp, I don't condone tardiness. Do you have any questions?"
A-M:" what? How? Don't I have a say in all this? I don't know how to be an assistant... "
He raises his hand to shush me.
Massimo:" No you don't!... I'm desperate okay, your salary will be triple what you get presently. And, you get to learn on the job"
A-M:"this is a really tempting offer, but..."
Massimo:"but nothing, you can leave now, and report here 8am sharp!"
A-M:"you can't force me to be your personal assistant, sir!"
Massimo:"so what do you intend to do about it?"
A-M:"then I'll quit!"
He let's out a small chuckle
Massimo:"look, I need an assistant okay? I apologise if I was being rude. But I have a lot of work to do and you're really effective in getting work done, I'll really appreciate it"
Well he sounds polite at least. It's a great opportunity and the pay is great, I mean triple what I earn now.
A-M:"okay sir. I'll take it"
Massimo:"okay, see you here tomorrow and remember I don't condone..."
I cut in before he can finish
A-M:"tardiness"
He nods and gets back to his work. I see that as my cue to take my leave.
On my way to the elevator, I stop to say hi to Tania.
A-M:"hello"
Tania:"hello dear, I see you accepted the offer, yes?"
A-M:"yeah, so I guess you'll be seeing me here from tomorrow"
Tania:"oh thank you, thank you, thank you. You don't know how happy that makes me! I was going crazy running everything up here."
A-M:"you're welcome I guess. But I don't know what to do, so I will be needing all the help you can give"
Tania:"of course dear. When you come in tomorrow, I will give you a quick tour and brief you on what to do as Mr Valastro's P.A"
A-M:"thank you."
We share a brief hug and she's about to say something when she's interrupted when Mr Valastro's voice booms from the intercom. She gives me an apologetic smile and starts walking off towards his office, as I start walking to the elevator.
When I get down, a colleague informs me John wants to see me in his office.
A-M:"hey, I was told you wanted to see me?"
John :"yeah, please take a seat."
A-M:"okay"
John:"I'm sure by now you've been told about your new post as the boss's P.A."
A-M:"yes I have, I start tomorrow"
John:"yeah... Do you mind if I drop you off at your place, like after work, since I won't be seeing much of you during office hours, I could take you home"
A-M:"that's a generous offer, but I don't think I want to burden you with that"
John:"it's not, I don't mind."
A-M:"uhm.... Okay then"
John:"thank you"
I leave his office and make way to the restroom.  I'm not used to this new and improved John, I will like to say my new appearance has played a major role in his new attitude towards me. I mean, I was sort of an invisible robot before and now I'm someone he wants to hang out with?
I bump into someone, I look up and it's Jeff, oh lord! I've not spoken to him since Saturday...
