I jumped.

But something caught me.

It wasn't a branch or rock under me. It was a hand. They were rough, from years of training Pokemon it looked like. I was specifically a water type trainer, but it looked like he trained many Pokemon.

He pulled me up. He looked about, 16 years old. Good guess for me cause he was 16. "What were you thinking!?" He yelled. Tears were streaming down my face. I sat down on the ground, looking at my worn-out black and white scratched up Converse, that I had for six years. 

"Answer me!" He yelled. "I-I d-d-don't want to...to tell you..." My lip quivered. "Why would you try and kill yourself, sure you don't fit in at school, but I've noticed you!" He fired back. I just realized he had a Pikachu on his arm and chuckled just a bit and wiped my tears. Then I had an idea.

"Give me ten reasons why I shouldn't kill myself right now!" I yelled, tears still flowing down my cheeks, even though I wiped them.

He looked around at the scenery. A rocky cliff, his car, and the hidden pathway he drove on to get here. He nodded, and stuck his hand out for me to shake. "Give me 10 days, I'll give you 10 reasons, name is Ash Ketchum by the way." I looked a little stunned at how he could go from yelling at me, to sticking his hand out for me to shake.

I shook his hand shyly. "Deal, and you probably know my name, since you've noticed me around school." I got up and ran off, leaving him behind.
