Well, to be quite honest, the world is falling apart. Or at least the Holistown police station is. Our top investigator, Winston, has gone missing, we found out when his house mysteriously caught on fire.

I'm just getting fucking nervous, that guy was smart. If I had dropped a penny in the middle of the city that fucker could track it down like it was no problem.

The recent murder, it was gruesome but somehow Winston looked past that and saw it as a task. I can't say it isn't creepy when he is investigating a crime scene, he doesn't even flinch when he sees decaying bodies. Something about him just doesn't seem right, he always seems...guilty of something.

Some days he naps at work and it's freaky. He mutters a girls name and out of no where his eyes snap open. He stares off for a few seconds and then sits up like it never happened. He says the girl's full name with a smile, but it soon drops.

"Anne Jade Brooks. My wonderful Annie." He whispered once, and I've been putting off googling her. She's probably some old hag from the 1800s who Winston reads about. I have time to kill so why not do that now?

I open up my laptop and go onto google. I slowly type her name, each letter at a time. I search her, not expecting anything from it but instead I find multiple articles about some dead chick.

"ANNE JADE BROOKS, BRIDGEPORT MURDERER." I click this article quickly and read it, it wouldn't be that interesting. It was a shady website but it was written almost a year ago.

Bridgeport is a quiet place, not much happens. The residents were given quite a shock these last few months when people started being murdered by a mysterious person.

"Everyone was too scared to even let their children walk home alone. Especially in the woods where that one girl was killed." A local resident told us, it seemed everyone was on the lookout for the killer. It soon became a topic of interest at local schools, where teens would go in the woods trying to look for the killer.

All fun ended last week when Anne Jade Brooks was caught by Bridgeport police. Top police detective, Dan Howell, had been able to track her down and fight her off. She had murdered a young man, aged seventeen. After further investigation, it is proven that she tortured and consumed much of the boy.

"The scene still gives me nightmares, it seemed like a demon had done it. Satan himself probably." A fellow officer stated. "We were still shaken up by our chief's suicide, I'd like to believe that he helped us get to the answer this quick." He further explained. Anne Jade Brooks is now caught, and in police custody, awaiting trial.

What? Why would Winston be dreaming about a serial killer? He seemed to be in love with her when he spoke her name. If she's still alive I can reach her and ask her how she knows him.

I quickly go back to google and my hope drops when I see the next article. ANNE BROOKS, EXECUTED BY POLICE

Anne Jade Brooks, she's been the name on everyone's tongues lately. After all, how could a high school student get away with murder this long. Not only that, her recent killings was her best friend and parents.

Anne had pleaded guilty to to the police, no motive was given. She had been sentenced to execution by lethal injection. The horror is over.

The article was ended quickly, and something didn't feel right about this article. Few details of her confession, trial, and execution was given. Is this even the truth?

This seems too fishy, why is Winston so hung up on this girl? I need to find out more about her but all these articles are vague. Only one other name is given besides here.

Dan Howell.

Who is he?Apparently he's the one who caught Anne. If Winston loves her so much then Dan Howell would be Winston's enemy. They have the same last name though, which is a bit strange. Are they brothers or something? I guess being a smart fuck runs in the family.

Dan Howell is the top investigator at Bridgeport police, if I go there and contact him maybe I could get more details on what happened to Anne Brooks.

I go back to google and check to see how Anne Brooks looks, maybe I can see her file while I'm at Bridgeport.

I click images and see a picture of her. Her eyes are hazel, her hair is light brown, and her smile is bright. If I didn't know she was a murderer I would have mistaken her for a model. No wonder Winston is so in love with her, she's fucking gorgeous. One thing doesn't seem right though, where's her mug shot? If she was kept at the police station wouldn't they take a mug shot?

I keep scrolling and no mug shot. What the hell? If she's a serial killer, it would be mandatory to take a picture of her, in case she ever escaped. What kind of police do they have in Bridgeport?

Well I'd have to find out but now that I know something weird is going on in that town I couldn't go alone. Where's Winston when you need him?

Author's note

Many of you seem confused, so I will break it down.

If it isn't obvious, the Bridgeport police is covering up what really happened to Anne and that Dan had disappeared from Bridgeport. Drew senses something is wrong, so he wants to contact Dan Howell (he doesn't know Winston is Dan).

Phil has captured Dan and he has a more demon-like appearance. Before Anne died, she didn't feel the demon within her. Something was off. *hint hint*
