EMERALD FOREST, THIRD PERSON'S POV

(Y/N) walked with Yang and Blake through the forest he talked with Yang as they walked, however he felt Blake staring at him a lot and not in a friendly way, the Sith just chose to ignore her if she attacked him he'd feed her her own head...

The three of them left the treeline and stood at the top of a high hill, they all looked down and saw a ruined circular building lined with stands, on the stands were several gold and black objects.

"Think this is it?" Yang asked as she looked down, Blake remained silent and walked down the hill followed by (Y/N) and Yang.

"Not the most friendly, isn't she?" he asked as they walked.

Yang laughed at the Sith's observation, they all made it into the temple and looked at the relics.

"Chess pieces?" Blake said, sounding confused.

"Some of them are missing" Yang said as she looked around.

"I guess we weren't the first ones here..." (Y/N) said as he looked at one of the pieces intently, he was trying to read it with the force to see if it had some kind of hidden power, the Sith was disappointed to feel that it was just a regular piece of plastic. 

(Some relics...) he thought to himself bitterly.

"Well... I guess we should pick one" Blake said.

(Y/N) stood back and watched the girls look over the relics, he saw Yang stare at the figure of a horses head intently.

"How about a cute little pony?" Yang asked happily, as she grabbed the piece and held it up in the air.

"Sure" Blake said with a smile.

"And I'll take this one" the Sith said as he grabbed a Black Queen Piece.

"Well that wasn't too hard!" Yang said.

"Well, it's not like this place is very difficult to find" Blake said.

"Still at least now we've got what we came for, now we can have a little fun..." (Y/N) said as he reached for his lightsaber.

"And what do you mean by fun?" Blake asked, sounding a little wary.

"I mean we could either go find us some more Grimm to slaughter, or we could fight each other to test our strength!" the Sith said with excitement in his voice.

"Hmmm fighting the Grimm sounds-" Yang said.

Suddenly a loud girlish scream rang out across the forest, Yang and Blake looked around for the source of the noise.

"Some girl's in trouble! Blake did you hear that?" Yang said, Blake however was looking up very confused.

(Y/N) went over to Yang getting ready to fight if needed.

"Blake, did you hear that? What should we d-" Yang asked.

(Y/N) looked over and saw Blake pointing up making him and Yang look up, they both went wide eyed at what they saw.

(Y/N) and Yang both saw none other than Ruby falling from the sky, her eyes white with panic.

"Heads uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppp!" she yelled before she was hit hard by... Jaune?

Both of the kids flew into a nearby tree with a loud crash, making leaves fall from the tree they crashed into.

(Ouch...) the Sith thought to himself.

"Did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asked, (Y/N) was also very interested in that question.

"I-" Yang was cut off by a loud roar, and several trees being knocked down.

The three students looked over and saw a large Ursa coming out of the forest swinging it's claws around, suddenly there is a loud boom and the creature falls down.

"Yeehaaw!" screamed a certain ginger haired girl as she rolled off the Grimm.

"Aww, it's broken" she said sadly, before jumping on top of it's head and looking at it.

"Nora? Please... don't ever do that again" said the girl's friend, sounding exhausted.

He looked up only to see that she had disappeared again, he looked around frantically before spotting her in the temple.

"Oooooo..." Nora said as she gazed at a white rook, she then grabbed the piece and happily held it up.

"I'm queen of the castle, I'm queen of the castle" she sang happily.

"NORA!!" her friend yelled.

"Hehehe, coming Ren!" she giggled, as she saluted before skipping off to him.

"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?" Blake asked sounding very confused.

"I-" Yang started before a loud roar interrupted her.

From the nearby trees, Pyrrha ran chased by a massive Deathstalker that had grass and plants growing on it's shell, the creature swiped at her with it's massive claws as she jumped and ran away from the massive arachnid. 

"Jaune!" she called out as she ran.

"Pyrrha!" the group heard Jaune's voice coming from the tree.

"Whoa!" Ruby exclaimed, she then jumped down ignoring Jaune's calls for help.

"Ruby?" Yang said.

"Yang!" Ruby replied a she went to hug her sister.

"Nora!" Nora said as she came between the two.

(Y/N) looked over and saw Pyrrha was still running from the scorpion, the Sith actually felt kind of bad that she had Jaune for a partner.

"Did she just run all the way here with a Deathstalker on her tail?" Blake asked, Yang stood still growling before exploding violently.

"I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?" She yelled as her hair burst into flames, and her eyes turned bright red.

"Wow! Talk about a burning passion!" the Sith exclaimed in surprise as he watched her.

The boy called Ren ran over and stood beside Nora as she messed around.

"Um... Yang?" Ruby said as she pointed upwards, causing all of them to look up.

"How could you leave me?!" Weiss Schnee screamed in a terrified voice as she hung onto the talon of a Nevermore for dear life.

"I said 'jump" Ruby said.

"She's gonna fall" Blake said.

"She'll be fine" Ruby answered.

"She's falling" Ren deadpans.

(Y/N) looked up and watch Weiss falls very gracelessly to the ground, the Sith debated to just let her fall or to save her, then he saw Jaune jump out of the tree and catch her in mid air.

"Just dropping in?" he said as he caught her bridal style, she looked at him then down causing him to realise they were still in the air!

"Oh god..." Jaune said as he and Weiss clung to each other, they plummeted downwards rapidly.

Jaune hit the ground first, then Weiss landed on top of him making a loud crack come from his back, (Y/N) internally winced in pain from the sound.

"My hero" Weiss says sarcastically, as she checks her nails.

"My back..." Jaune moans before he collapses again.

Then the Sith heard a loud thud and saw Pyrrha rocket towards the group, (Y/N) jumped back as she hit the ground.

"Great! The gangs all here! Now we can die together!" Yang said.

"Speak for yourself! I don't plan on dying here" (Y/N) scoffed.

"Not if I can help it!" Ruby says, before charging towards the Deathstalker with a yell.

"Ruby wait!" Yang called, the Sith stood back and crossed his arms, as he watched he go to fight the massive scorpion.

(Time to see what she can do) (Y/N) thought to himself.

Ruby unfolded Crescent Rose and shot the gun, propelling herself towards the Deathstalker rapidly, she was hit by one of the scorpions massive claws and knocked down.

"D-Do-Don't worry! Totally fine!" she called over as she stood back up.

The Deathstalker hissed at her as she shot it in the face, but the shot had no effect the armour was too thick! Ruby turned back and ran away folding up Crescent Rose.

"RUBY!" Yang yelled in a panic, she ran towards her sister.

(Y/N) felt as though he should go help and ran after her.

The Sith saw the Nevermore fly above Ruby and shoot it's feathers towards the young girl, the feathers stuck into the ground most missing her but one pinned her red cloak to the ground forcing her to stop.

Yang stumbled to a halt as the feathers slammed down around her, (Y/N) stopped beside her pulling out his lightsaber but not igniting it yet.

"Ruby, get out of there!" Yang shouted.

"I'm trying!" Ruby said as she tugged on her cloak, trying to dislodge it as the Deathstalker got closer and raised it's glowing, orange stinger, Ruby froze in fear as she saw the stinger come towards her, (Y/N) used the force to leap towards her while igniting his lightsaber.

"RUBY!" Yang yelled, as a white blur sped past her.

Just before the stinger hit the child (Y/N) and Weiss intervened, she froze the tail in place with an ice rune while the Sith covered Ruby with a static barrier.

"You are so childish" Weiss said, and for once he agreed with her.

(Y/N) went behind Ruby and cut the feather with his lightsaber, freeing her cloak.

"Weiss? (Y/N)?" Ruby asked when she saw the two standing in front of her.

"And dimwitted, and hyperactive. And don't even get me started on your fighting style" Weiss scolded.

"And I suppose I can be a bit..." she started.

"Bitchy?" (Y/N) commented, getting a glare from her.

"... difficult. But if were going to do this we're going to have to do this together. So if you quit trying to show off I'll be... nicer" Weiss said, looking at Ruby.

"I'm not trying to show off. I want you to know I can do this" Ruby said.

"Your fine" Weiss said as she walked away.

Ruby closed her eyes and whispered to herself "Normal knees...", she then stood up and gasped when she saw the Deathstalker trapped in the ice, trying to get it's tail free.

Yang ran over and wrapped Ruby up in a massive hug.

"I'm so glad your okay!" she said sounding very relieved, she then looked at the Sith with a smile on her face.

The moment was cut short by the Nevermore crying out above the group, the three all ran back to the group which the Sith looked at with disgust.

"Feel free to step in any time!" (Y/N) yelled angrily making them all go sheepish apart from Yang and Weiss, then Jaune pointed up towards the Nevermore.

"Guys, that things circling back. What are we gonna do?" he asked sounding scared.

"Look there's no sense in dilly-dallying. Our objective is right in front of us" Weiss said indicating the remaining chess pieces.

"She's right. Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs. There's no point in fighting these things." Ruby said, (Y/N) however felt an overwhelming need to fight these things.

"Run and live. That is an idea I can get behind" Jaune said, and that was the last straw for the Sith, he despised cowardice in any form.

(Y/N) turned away and walked towards the Deathstalker taking his lightsaber off of his belt, as the Sith did this Ruby and Jaune went and picked up their pieces.

They turned towards the group when they heard (Y/N)'s lightsaber ignite, they saw the Sith walking towards the Deathstalker in an aggressive way.

"(Y/N)! What are you doing!?" Ruby shouted in a panicked voice, the other turned and saw him approaching the beast as the ice began cracking.

"Finishing this beast off..." (Y/N) said as he raised your lightsaber and sliced off one of it's claws, it screeched in pain and tried to attack him with it's other arm, (Y/N) slashed across the claw making it pull back leaving a glowing orange slash mark, he then blasted the creature with force lightning making it thrash around violently, his lips pulled back into a wide, toothy grin as it thrashed from the lightning being shot into it's body, however the lightning didn't do much damage due to the thick carapace that covered it's head, then it's tail broke free from the ice due to the violent thrashing.

The tail swung at the Sith making him jump back interrupting his casting of the lightning, the scorpion lunged at him again and the Sith slashed it's stinger, the Deathstalker screeched again and tried to back away, but (Y/N) force jumped towards it and stabbed his lightsaber into it's armoured skull, he then shot more lightning through the blade and directly into the beasts skull, directly electrocuting the Grimm's brain, it let out a last pained screech before falling to the ground and beginning to evaporate.

(Y/N) breathed a satisfied sigh before he walked away breathing somewhat heavily extinguishing his lightsaber before he reached the awed students before him.

"What?" (Y/N) asked nonchalantly as he clipped his lightsaber back onto his belt.

"That. was. AWESOME!" Ruby yelled excitedly, the Sith smiled at her excitement.

Blake looked at him wide eyed, Yang had a smirk on her face, Ren just looked impassive but had a small smile on his face, Nora looked at the Sith with amazement, Jaune was slack jawed at him while Pyrrha looked at (Y/N) with a wide smile.

"What were you thinking?!" Weiss yelled, getting in the Sith's face.

"I was thinking that the beast was easy prey, and killing it was the best way to stop it from chasing after us, now back off" (Y/N) stated simply, before pushing Weiss back slightly.

Weiss let out an exasperated breath before turning away, she knew she couldn't fault the Sith's logic but was upset about how he managed to kill it alone, she was going to have a word with him after the Initiation!

"Let's go!" Ruby said as the Nevermore flew past again.

The others ran past (Y/N) and Yang as she watched her little sister with a proud smile.

"What is it?" Blake asked as she stopped to check on Yang and the Sith.

"Nothing..." Yang said as she ran ahead, (Y/N) swiftly followed behind her no longer Force Running.

They all ran through the trees until they reached another hill with ruins around it, the group ran up the hill and saw a ruined tower and bridges, however (Y/N) also saw the giant Nevermore circling above.

They all took cover in the ruins and watched the giant bird flew down and landed on the tower, it let out a loud screech as it looked down at the assembled students.

"Well that's great!" Yang said.

The Sith then heard something behind them all, the Sith looked and saw another Deathstalker crash through the trees!

"Oh man, run!" Jaune yelled as everyone ran, the Nevermore took off into the air again readying another attack.

"Nora, distract it!" Ren said as he ran.

Nora ran out dodging the Nevermore's feathers before pulling out her grenade launcher and firing at the bird.

The projectiles let off bright pink explosions around the Nevermore making it fly away, the new Deathstalker closed in on Nora rapidly but was intercepted by Blake and Ren while Weiss grabbed Nora and took her to safety.

Blake and Ren then retreated from the Deathstalker, Pyrrha turned back switching her weapon into a rifle and shot at the creature, Ren then fired his twin SMG's at the Deathstalker while Blake jumped away.

(Y/N) and the others ran across the bridge, the Deathstalker unable to follow them as the bridge was too narrow to support it's massive body, however as they ran across the bridge they saw the Nevermore return and fly right towards the bridge!

"Incoming!" the Sith yelled before the Grimm crashed through the bridge, the Sith Force Jumped and landed with Pyrrha, Ren and Blake as they fought the Deathstalker.

Blake took a hard hit and slammed into the bridge, the Sith knelt down and picked her up while Ren charged towards the scorpion.

(Y/N) gathered some lightning in his hands and shocked the creature, however it seemed that the carapace lessened the effects somehow, Just like the last one!

He then heard a loud smash and turned to see Nora and Jaune come flying over, Jaune somersaulting through the air while Nora seemed to ride on a giant hammer.

"Ah, smash!" she yelled as she made an overhead strike on the Deathstalkers armoured head, the tail arched to hit Nora but a explosion from the hammer made the scorpion's head slam into the ground, it's strike missing Nora but causing her to slide back towards (Y/N) and Blake.

Blake managed to jump out of the way but the Sith was so focused on casting the next round of Force Lightning that he didn't have time to react, Nora crashed into him knocking him off the crumbling bridge into the abyss below!

"Nora, I'm going to kill yooouu!" (Y/N) yelled as he fell.

Suddenly Blake jumped down using her weapon like a grappling hook, she grabbed the Sith's hand and swung both of them towards the Nevermore, (Y/N) knew he'd need to help and used Force Push to give added speed to their flight.

They both landed on the Nevermore's back, (Y/N) shot lightning at it's body and ran alongside Blake as she slashed it with her weapon, they both jumped off the beast and landed on the ruined tower along with Ruby, Yang and Weiss.

"It's tougher than it looks!" Blake said.

"Then let's hit it with everything we've got!" Yang says as she reloads her gauntlets.

"I like your thinking Yang" the Sith said as he summoned more Force Power.

The Nevermore screeched as it flew towards the five students, Ruby unfurled Crescent Rose into it's sniper/scythe form, Blake's katana morphed into a handgun, Weiss's rapier spun and glowed ice blue while (Y/N)'s hands crackled with barely contained electricity.

The group of students unleashed a barrage against the Nevermore slightly disrupting it's flight path, causing it to miss them and crash into a lower section of the tower making it crumble and fall, (Y/N) and the girls ran fast Blake using her agility to run up a pillar, Yang blasting herself up, Weiss using her runes to jump, Ruby using Crescent Rose's shots to propel herself up and the Sith used Force Jump to leap up towards a more stable part of the ruins.

(Y/N) landed beside Yang and follow her towards another pillar, she jumped up and started throwing punches launching fiery projectiles at the Nevermore, while the Sith stood below shooting bolts of lightning at it.

Suddenly there was a loud crash that made (Y/N) look over and see the Deathstalker fall into the abyss, while Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren were safely on the other side.

The Sith turned his attention back to the Nevermore and shot more Force Lightning at it, Yang then fired a shot that hit it directly in the face making it turn and fly towards her, he watched as the beast opened it's mouth and Yang jumped catching herself inside the bird's beak, she then cocked her fist back and fired her weapon inside it's throat.

"I! Hope! You're! Hung-ry!" she yelled as she shot down it's throat.

Yang then jumped out of the Nevermore's mouth and landed on another bridge, as she did so the Nevermore crashed into the cliff side before standing on a ledge and screeching loudly.

As this happened (Y/N) saw a blur of white go past and saw Weiss speed towards the Nevermore, she jumped up and froze the Grimm's tail feathers to the ledge preventing it from escaping, she then jumped back down and ran back to the others.

Blake tossed her weapon to Yang who caught it, they then stretched the ribbon across two pillars as Ruby jumped up using her Scythes gun mode, as she did this Weiss summoned a white glyph which turned black she then moved it and held Ruby in place with the rune.

"Of course you would come up with this idea" she said.

"Think you can make the shot?" Ruby asked, not taking her eyes off the Nevermore.

"Hmph, can I?" Weiss says confidently.

"Can-" Ruby began to ask, not picking up on Weiss's bravado.

"Of course I can!" she said back indignantly.

Suddenly they all heard a loud crack and saw the Nevermore break free of the ice, knowing they had only one shot at this the Sith reached deep into the Force and reached out with his hands out towards the Nevermore.

Suddenly the giant bird froze in midair flapping it's wings yet going nowhere, the girls looked around for an explanation and saw the Sith holding his hands out towards the giant bird, they figured out what he was doing and looked at him with amazement, the Sith however began to feel the effects of his prolonged use of the Force gritting his teeth and groaning from the strain of holding such a massive beast still.

"Hurry the FUCK UP!!" he yelled angrily as he felt the exhaustion get worse.

"Oh! Sorry!" Ruby yelled as she nodded towards Weiss, the rune turned red and she was launched towards the Nevermore occasionally firing her sniper to give her more airtime.

She then slammed into the Nevermore's neck slamming it's back into the cliff side, Ruby landing on her feet as Weiss summoned a path of white glyphs up the cliffside, Ruby then ran at impossible speeds up the cliff dragging the Nevermore behind her by the throat with Crescent Rose, she let out a fierce yell as she neared the top of the cliff reaching a loud end when she reached the top and sliced the Nevermore's head clean off!

The Nevermore's headless corpse tumbled down into the abyss as the Sith stood there looking up at the young girl with new found respect, Ruby walked to the edge of the cliff with her red cloak fluttering in the breeze as rose petals flew out, he stood beside Weiss, Blake jumped down beside him as Yang walked over with a proud smile.

"Well. That was a thing" Yang said.

"Incredible" the Sith said. 

(She would definately make a good candidate for an apprentice!) he thought to himself, thinking of the things he could teach her.

Suddenly the Sith fell to one knee his exhaustion getting the better of him.

"(Y/N)!" the girls said as they came to check on him, he smiled up at them breathing heavily.

"Just need a rest, I'll be fine" the Sith said, Yang chuckled at that and helped him stand up before they all started to walk away to find a way up the cliff, however Blake hung back watching the Sith carefully, still not trusting the feeling of unease she got from him.

TIMESKIP TO ACCEPTANCE

"Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward you will work together as... team CRDL. Lead by Cardin Winchester. Ozpin said as said students stood before him.

"Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team JNPR. Lead by Jaune Arc." Ozpin said.

Jaune looked surprised by his new role, however the rest of his team seemed overjoyed at his promotion, Pyrrha gave him a playful punch in the arm that knocked him down earning a round of laughs from the gathered students.

"And finally Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. And Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team RWBY. Lead by Ruby Rose." Ozpin said, this got a look of shock from both Weiss and Ruby.

"I'm so proud of you!" Yang said giving her sister a bear hug.

"Now there is one more piece of business to attend to, mister (Y/N) step forward if you please" Ozpin said as team RWBY walked off the stage.

"You retrieved the black queen piece, yet you did not find a partner, normally that would be grounds to expel you from the Academy" he said, (Y/N) personally felt some disappointment because he'd have to leave such talented, potential Sith behind.

He heard Ruby and Yang gasp in fear and sadness that their new friend would have to leave, even Weiss felt a little sad so did team JNPR, although Blake seemed to have a look of relief on her face.

"However, your abilities and skill are far too valuable to pass up" he said as he played footage of him fighting the Beowolves, draining the Ursa and slaying the Deathstalker.

"Did you see how easily he killed those Beowolves?"

"Wow! he can shoot lightning from his hands!"

"What kind of sword is that?!"

Those were only some of the comments that came from the gathered students.

"So this one time, we shall make an exception to the normal rules, and allow you to remain at Beacon as it's very first one man team" Ozpin said, the Sith felt pride swell in his chest at the recognition.

He was suddenly tackled into a hug by Ruby and Yang, Blake stood back with a small smile on her face and Weiss looked on with a stern face.

"Yay! (Y/N) get's to stay at Beacon!" Ruby squealed as she hugged tighter.

"Congratulations (Y/N)!" Yang said slapping his back, hard.

"I'm glad you'll be staying at Beacon, (Y/N)" Blake said, still seeming a little hesitant about him.

"You know, I'm still waiting for that explanation on you killing that Deathstalker! Your going to show me how. Right now!" Weiss said, making the Sith sweatdrop.

"Uh... Yeah, do you mind if we do that tomorrow? I'm still kind of tired" he said, then he remembered that you needed to ask Ozpin something.

"Where exactly am I staying, Ozpin?" (Y/N) asked.

"You will be staying in your own room, along with your things" Ozpin answered, Glynda walked forward typing into a tablet, after that she explained that his scroll would be the key to his new room.

"Thank you Ozpin, Glynda" he said as he turned and walked away followed by the other two teams.

(Y/N) and teams RWBY and JNPR walked to the dorms they talked along the way, the Sith talked about his fights in the Emerald Forest while Yang and the others also talked about their own fights.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Can you please show us your lightsaber again? Pleeeeease?" Ruby asked giving the Sith her best puppy dog eyes.

This caught everyone's attention, they were curious about his weapon as well, yes they did see it in action during the fight but were still interested in seeing it up close.

"Very well" the Sith said removing the lightsaber from his belt and igniting it, the two teams looked at the glowing red blade in wonder.

Ruby instantly went fangirl over the blade, Weiss looked at it with jealousy, Yang looked at it wide eyed, Blake seemed hypnotised by the glowing blade, Jaune looked at it with wonder along with Nora who zipped around asking questions so fast (Y/N) could barely understand her.

Meanwhile Pyrrha and Ren stood back with smiles on their faces at their friends reactions, he eventually extinguished the blade and continued to walk to his room.

After some walking (Y/N) began to feel the fatigue catching up with him, he walked past team RWBY and JNPR's rooms and bid them both goodnight before heading off, the Sith walked a little further and stopped in front of the door and opened it, inside was a very spacious room with a single bed and all of his boxes and crates containing his Sith artefacts and weapons.

(I guess Ozpin had faith in my success) (Y/N) thought to himself with a smile.

He looked at the huge pile of crates and felt the exhaustion catch up to him once more.

"Eh, I'll unpack tomorrow, for now I'm going to-" (Y/N) fall flat on his bed and immediately fall asleep.

(I wonder how this will go?) the Sith thought as his dreams filled with plans for future battles, and the potential students for the Dark Side he could cultivate...
