Before and After(Chap.2)

~Third Person P.O.V~

"Oh my God I'm so, so sorry- wait... Kacchan?" Izuku gapes, his eyes widening as Katsuki's does the same.

"Deku?" He whispers, his brows furrowing in confusion- yet his scarlet orbs held a plethora of emotions in them.

Before the two could say anything else, their professor walked in- ordering everyone to take a seat. Izuku's heart hammered in his chest as he reluctantly sat down next to his childhood friend/ middle school tormentor. He kept his eyes trained forward as he partially listened to the lecture.

The freckled teen could feel Katsuki's intense gaze boring into the side of his face the entire time. As if he were silently begging the shorter male to just look at him, just one small glance.

And Izuku made the mistake of sparing Katsuki that one glance.

His breath hitched in the base of his throat when their eyes met, memories flooding both of their minds. Izuku wasn't scared of Katsuki, at least not like he was in middle school, nor was he upset with the blond.

But seeing Katsuki after all these years made him remember things- things he fought long and hard to keep at bay.

You see, Izuku separated his life into two parts, the Before and the After.

Before his mother died.

And After his mother died.

Unfortunately for him, Katsuki was bringing all the memories from the Before- and it was hard not to break down into tears in that moment. Quickly, Izuku averted his eyes once more, subconsciously pulling the sleeves of his hoodie down even further so the covered his arms and most of his hands.

Just as Katsuki was about to say something his boyfriend, Eijirou Kirishima, tapped his shoulder.

"Who is that?" Eijirou whispered to the blond, the red head sat on the other side of Katsuki- he had been silently watching the interaction between the two.

"I'll tell you about it later." Katsuki whispered back, his eyes never leaving the freckled male.

------------------

As soon as class was dismissed Izuku was out in record time, booking it out of the lecture hall and making his way to his dorm. Unfortunately for him, Katsuki as well as Eijirou were hot on his trail- Eijirou was mainly following the pair due to his nagging curiosity.

"Deku- God damn it, will you stop running?!" Katsuki barked, his words bringing Izuku to a halt.

"What do you want, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, his back still facing the two males.

Scoffing, Katsuki digs his hands into his pockets. "What the fuck kind of question is that? The hell do you mean 'What do you want'? Your mom dies, then all of a sudden nobody sees or hears from you!" He shouts, causing the green haired boy to visibly flinch.

Eijirou's eyes widen with a newly found sense of understanding, piecing two and two together- he had a good feeling of who Izuku was.

"Foster care..." Izuku mumbles, slightly inclining his head to the side to get a small look at them.

"Huh?"

"They put me in foster care Katsuki." Izuku repeated, emphasizing on the blond's first name more than necessary. "Look, I gotta go- I'm busy."

"Wait-" Before Katsuki could finish his sentence Izuku had already bolted down the stone pathway- turning the corner to the dorms.

Letting out a frustrated growl, Katsuki kicks the wall- turning so he slowly slid down onto the floor below him. Eijirou heaves out a sigh, joining his red eyed boyfriend on the pavement as well.

"Do you want to tell me what that was all about?" He asked softly, taking the blond's hand into his. "Was that the boy you told me about Kat... the one you bullied in middle school?"

Katsuki weakly nodded his head carefully unhooking his hand from Eijirou's, his fingers lacing themselves into his spiked locks. "I fucked up... I fucked up real bad." Katsuki muttered, shifting his eyes upwards to meet Eijirou's matching red ones.

"I know," Eijirou sighed, "You know you have to apologize right?"

"And how the hell am I going to get close enough to him to do that?" Katsuki huffed, crossing his arms across his chest.

The red head smirks, ruffling up Katsuki's hair just a bit. "You'll figure it out- but on a more happier note, look." Eijirou said, pointing towards his arm.

Katsuki quickly pulled his sleeve down, the two watching as a green line began to form on their arms.

'Get reading done by Saturday'

"Whoever are soulmate is better start reading." Katsuki chuckled, glad that he had a small distraction from Izuku.

"Yeah..."

---------------------------------

Izuku quickly closed the cap on his pen, tossing it somewhere on his bed. He was forcing himself to get some of the reading done they had been assigned during class- anything to distract himself from the events of earlier. At least before his next class started.

Just as he was settling into the book, the door burst open revealing a very out of breath Uraraka and confused Todoroki.

"What... the hell... was that?" The brunette wheezed out, leaning down on her knees as she tries to catch her breath.

"Yeah why did you run out of class like that?" Todoroki asked, his big brother voice coming out to play as he inspected the smaller male for any sign of injuries. "And who were those guys following you?"

Uraraka perked up at the mention of more than one guy following Izuku, hell, knowing her she probably thought it meant something different. If you know what I mean.

"Oooh, it's only the first day and you already have guys lining up to talk to you." She giggled, wiggling her eyebrows tauntingly.

Izuku rolled his eyes, waving his sister off. "It's not like that Ura, I don't even know who the guys with red hair was." Izuku said, giving a slight shrug of his shoulders.

"And the blond?" Todoroki pressed, squaring his shoulder with his arms crossed.

The freckled college student sucks in a breath between his teeth, his eyes suddenly finding the floor quite interesting. "That was... Katsuki Bakugo." He mumbled, just loud enough for the two to hear.

"I'm sorry- as in the same Katsuki Bakugo that made your life a living hell? That Katsuki freaking Bakugo?!" Uraraka growled, already planning the blond's funeral in her head.

"Yeah." Izuku chuckled awkwardly, "That's the one alright."

"So is this the part where me and Uraraka- well, mainly me go kick his ass or?" Todoroki chimed in, tapping his foot impatiently- he really wanted to bash the blond's face in.

Izuku rolled his eyes, allowing himself to fall backwards on the bed. "No you two may not kick Kacchan's ass." He giggled, albeit he sent the two a stern look.

Izuku had opened up to his two siblings about everything from the Before a few years back, so they pretty much knew about Katsuki. How they were best friends when they were little, but when they got to middle school he changed- made his life a 'living hell' as Uraraka put it.

What they also knew was how Izuku forgave him, even though he never apologized he never held a grudge towards the blond. Which they both thought was completely and utterly insane on his part.

"Pretty please can we kick his ass?" Uraraka pleaded, poking out her bottom lip.

"No." Izuku chuckled, "Just- let me handle this, okay?"

The brown eyed girl heaved out a frustrated groan, but nodded her head nonetheless. "Fine.. I gotta go anyways."

Izuku turned his attention to his older brother, tilting his head to the side a bit. "What about you? Still want to try and kill him?" He joked, but his voice held a soft edge to it.

"If you don't want me to," Todoroki started with a sigh, "Then I won't do it. But if he ever hurts you-"

"I have the most amazing big brother in the world to beat his ass for me!" Izuku beams.
