Madness

EVERYBODY I'M NOT DEAD!

Okay so i am so sorry for not uploading anything for the last few months. But now this has my full ish attention. I will try to update as fast as I can but I can't say it will be quick. But for now bear with me. I've been through so much shit in my life that I'm kinda just floating everywhere but I'll be udating this at least monthly. That will be the maximum time that I'll be working on a chapter.

Madness

“ROBERT! WAKE UP!”

I was shoved rudely onto the wooden floor and landed on my face. Hard.
“OW! Clara! I was asleep!” I held my nose tenderly as it pulsed with pain. Clara stood above me, arms crossed, and pissed off.
“Robert. You’re going to be late for the shipment of the new archived books!” My brain slowly connected memories and I was awake in seconds.
“OH GOD!”
I immediately start putting on clothes and pants. The principal of Coal Hill had just recently gave me permission to reorganize the library and I learned we had WAY more space than I anticipated so I ordered a few more books.

Okay, a lot more books. Maybe a couple hundred.

Once I got dressed, I rushed downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed an apple.
“Robert, you should seriously eat something other than an apple.” Clara suggested.
I didn’t reply as we left the house and Jumped into the car.
“Robert. So how was your date last night?” She wiggled her eyes suggestively.
I groaned.
“Nothing happened! We just talked.”
She laughed. “ Sure you did. I bet you were talkative.”
I whacked her arm and glared at her.

We arrived at the School and a few students were already there, just hanging around. I opened the door and looked around. I saw the shipment truck out there and I bolted for the doors. I then ran into an old man who shouted something but was too fast to hear him.

When I reached the Library, there was a man knocking on the doors and I set my stuff down and I opened the doors to the courtyard t let him in. “I'm so sorry, sir! I overslept and I hope you’ll forgive me. I kinda just got here.” He smiled politely and said it was no problem and I let out a breath of relief.

“Okay, and that will be all! I will help you move in the boxes!” I smiled. So we went out in the back and he only had one dolly. “Don't worry we have extras in the Storage Locker!” I ran back inside to the storage locker. I stopped on the way to help a student find her class. Then I noticed a strange man dressed completely in black. “Hello, sir! Can I help you?” He turned around.
“Why, yes. You can.” He then ran at me before I could react to his reply.

“BZZZZZTTTTT!” I heard a high pitched whirring and looked behind me. It was the man I ran into on the way here. “Hello! You must be Robert! Clara’s told me all about you! I think we need to run now!” I wasted no time running away from whatever the hell that thing was. He ran into the storage locker and I followed blindly.

“Quick! In here!” He gestured to a giant police box. I looked at him like he was insane. “Okay, 1. There is NO room in there for two of us! And 2. I don’t even know you!”

He sighed impatiently. “I’m the Doctor and I'm gonna save you.” He opened the door, grabbed my arm and pulled me in just as the locked door broke. I shut my eyes expecting the tight, uncomfortable space but I didn’t. “ Huh?” I opened my eyes and lets just say I was speechless. “Robert!” I turned and saw Clara. “Are you okay?!” I my mouth was stuck open and I was trying to comprehend the physics of this impossible room. “It’s- It’s.” It was so overwhelming for me and I promptly did the most embarrassing thing to do in that moment.

I fainted.

I appeared in a weird room filled with stained glass mosaics. I tried to move but I couldn’t I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. “Where the bloody hell am I?” Then I saw someone walk in front of me. “The host is ready. Prepare for Resurrection!”

I woke up covered in sweat and panting. Clara jumped. “Robert!” She grabbed my shoulder. “Are you okay?” I nodded. “I had the craziest dream. This weird guy who called himself the Doctor, and you were there.” Clara looked away for a second and all I needed to hear. “Oh My God.”

“Hello, I see you’re doing well! Bit of a spell you had there.” I backed as far as I could away from the man. “STAY AWAY!” He held his hands up. “ I mean no harm. I. Come. In. Peace.” He made the spock sign with his hands and I slowly let my guard down. “Okay who are you and why have you kidnapped me?” He shrugged. “I'm the Doctor.” Clara turned and just shook her head. “That's the Doctor and he actually has saved the universe more than once.” I looked at her face for signs of any lies but I found none. I lowered my guard. “Okay, now someone explain to me why that thing tried to kill me?” The Doctor motioned me to follow him. I got out of bed and followed him downstairs.

When I got down there, the same blue box from before was there. “This is the TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimension in Space.” He and Clara went inside and I walked around the whole thing and I saw something strange. There was a crack on the side window. I stepped closer to inspect it further. It glowed a bright blue and it seemed there was light coming through it as well. I leaned in closer and hear whispers as if the crack was telling me a secret. Suddenly I received a splitting headache. “Gah!” I fell to my knees and Clara appeared and rushed to my aid. “Robert! What's happening!” Pain spread through everywhere. It felt like my bones were breaking and resetting simultaneously, my skin searing off, my muscles tearing and repairing, I could literally feel every cell in my body die and reform. “CLARA! STEP AWAY FROM HIM!” The Doctor pulled Clara away. “Doctor l- what's happening to him?” She whispered.  “He’s regenerating.” The Doctor pointed at my hands as they glowed a bright orange. “How is that possible? He’s isn’t a timelord.” I then yelled out as flames erupted from my body.

As so as it stopped, I gasped for air. “Ohhhhhh god. I never want to do that again.” I noticed my voice had grown deeper. “Doctor.” “Yes, I see it.” I looked at them. They both were staring at me weirdly. “What?” I looked down and saw I was now wearing a golden silk cloak. I also had bigger fingers. “He's the Aurora.”

We were too busy about my regeneration that we didn't see the monster come in. “CLARA, LOOK OUT!” I yelled out but was too late. A sword protruded from her abdomen. “CLARA!” The creature disappeared and Clara fell down. The Doctor caught her and I scrambled over to her. “Clara. Oh my god. I'm so sorry.” She smiled. “What are you sorry about. You didn't do anything.” I closed my eyes to prevent the tears from falling and the Doctor was trying to save her. “Clara, no I can't lose you too.” Clara grabbed his hand. “Doctor. Please, Let me be brave.” Clara smiled and her hand fell limp and I let the tears fall. Suddenly, I started screaming and a bright yellow aura surrounded me. Then my body glowed. The Doctor looked up, “What the-,” Suddenly time started to move backwards, And I was in the middle of my golden aura bubble. It wasn’t long before I was in bed.

“GRAH!” I sat up so fast I collided with Clara. “OW,” I blinked a few times and turned to her, “Clara?” Clara nodded. “Yeah and you’re late.” I jumped out of bed and hugged her. “Whoa! Robert! What’s gotten into you?” I looked at my body and saw I hadn’t regenerated yet. “Okay. Clara, this may sound crazy but I saw the future.” She stared at me like I was insane. “J-Just hear me out. Okay so we’re at school when I’m attacked and you and this old man save me and then after that the thing that attacked me killed you.”

She scoffed and walked away. “Robert, just get dressed.” I sighed. “She must think I’ve lost it” I pull on my clothes and head downstairs. “Here’s the apple.” She tossed me an apple. “Thanks.” I followed her to the car and we headed to the school.

When we arrived, I looked for the old man. “Okay, that Doctor guy should show up right about.” And there he was, walking down the steps. “Robert, hurry, you gonna be late.” I shook my head, and marched towards the man. “Hello, Clara, and who is this young gentleman?” I held up my hand. “One, you’re the Doctor and I’m the Aurora apparently. Two, there is a monster in that school that will try to attack me and kill Clara.”

The Doctor blinked a few times, and tried to speak. “T-The Aurora is a myth.” I shook my head. Then I beckoned him to follow me. “Clara, go to the TARDIS and just wait.” Clara look bewildered. I brought the Doctor along and I saw the man in black. “That guy there,” I pointed towards him, “wants to kill me but kills Clara instead.” He hesitates and looks at him then to me and back to him. “Alright, fine.” He points his blue wand thingy at the thing and it turns. “My, My. You found me Doctor. Now, lets play another round of the game.” He then disappears and The Doctor frowns. “Doctor, why did he say another round of the game?” The Doctor turned to me and grabbed my shoulders tightly. “Robert. H-How do you know you’re the Aurora?” I groaned. “Doctor, we don't have time for this!” I then saw something flash in the corner of my eye and I gasped.

A small, gold dagger was embedded in my side. “Oh god, not again,” and I saw the blue crack from before. It was on the library window and I watched as it closed and I started the regeneration.

The Doctor stood back as my body started to glow a bright orange and I smiled sadly, “Well, looks like it goodbye to Robert. I’m gonna miss him,” and I yelled as the regeneration took place and my body changed. My hair grew lighter and longer, my skin became paler, my muscles grew slightly and I finished it off with a final exhale of regeneration energy. I fell to my knees and swallowed down the anxiety and fear that had built up and stood up with my golden cloak draped around my shoulders. “This is how I know I’m the Aurora.”

The Doctor stood there, confused beyond his mind, and he just walked to the TARDIS. “I followed him and Clara was waiting for him in there.

“Doctor! What’s -” She turns to me. Suddenly her expression became guarded and apprehensive. “Who are you?” I raised my hands. “Whoa, calm down the sass, girl. It’s me, Robert.” She chuckles. “Yeah, if you think that’s Robert then you need to work on your research.”

“It’s him.” Clara and I turned to look at him. “What?” The Doctor looked up from the console. “It’s him. I don’t know how but it’s him.” Clara looked back at me, then back to the Doctor, then back to me,
“What’s my favorite color?”

“Amethyst, though I say it is a gem not an color.”

“Which teacher did I have a crush on?”

“Danny Pink. And I agree, he is one hot hunk of chocolate.”

And I wiggled my eyes after that.

“Oh my god. You are him. What? But? What?”

I shrugged cause I actually didn’t know either. “Likely because he actually was raised as a human and his family never told him that he was actually alien.” I shrugged. The TARDIS then shook violently and we all struggled to hold on. The Doctor wasn’t so lucky and he fell down as a bookcase fell on top of him. “DOCTOR!” Clara screeched. I the made my way to the console ad suddenly I knew what to do. I looked around for a big blue button. After searching through the array of switches and buttons, I finally found what I needed to push. I pressed it and the TARDIS ceased its vibrations. We all stabilized ourselves except for The Doctor whereas he was preoccupied with the bookcase on top of him. Clara looked at me.” How did you know to do that?” The Doctor answered before I could. “Us Timelords know how to use a TARDIS from birth.” I nodded. “What he said.” She chuckled and walked to the door. The Doctor finally got the case off of him. “Wow. Thank you for your help.” I shrugged. “No problem.” I then winked and he rolled his eyes. “Robert, quit flirting with him.” I chuckled. “I wasn’t.” Then she opened the TARDIS doors.

We were on a strange planet and it smelled like sewage. I looked around and saw no civilization. “Hmmm. Interesting.” I then stooped down and felt the dirt on my fingers. “Wait. This material.” I licked my fingers. “Robert, what the heck?!” I rose. “Doctor, taste this.” He then tried the dirt and his eyes lit up. “Organic. The reason it smells so bad is-” “Because we are standing on dead bodies.”

We heard a slow clap behind us and we all turned. “Good Job! The noob figured it out first. Doctor, I’m afraid you’re losing your touch.” He frowned, “If I’m losing anything, it’s a staring contest with a weeping angel.” I ran towards him and grabbed him by the neck. “ACK!” And I hoisted him upwards. “Robert!” Clara and the Doctor ran to my side. “Let him go!” Clara pleaded. “He tried to kill me.” The man chuckled. “But you are alive are you not?” I growled and dropped and he fell to his knees. “I believe -ACK!” He didn’t get to finish as he acted he ran out of air. I looked back. “Clara, what’s happening?” The Doctor rose and looked at me. “Let. Him. Go.” “Doctor, I’m not holding onto him.” He sighed. “Not you.” He looked at me again and he glared again and I felt something shift in me. The man gasped for as the hold on him released. “What the hell happened?” I was confused. The Doctor paid no attention to my question and focused on the man. “Now, tell me why did you try to kill Robert?” The man chuckled again. “Don’t you see?” The Doctor frowned. “See what?” The man stood up. “The Resurrection has been completed.” The Doctor asked what it was but the man was frozen. “What the-” Suddenly he shattered in pieces and I shielded myself.

When the dust settled, I let my arms fall and saw a tiny mound of dust where he last stood. “What. The. Hell?” the Doctor sighed. “He was suicide mercenary. Once he kills; he leaves a final message and blows up.” I cursed and turned to him. “How did you get me to let go of the monster.” I looked at him. He sighed and walked into the TARDIS. I followed with Clara behind me. “The Aurora is a myth because it needs a human sacrifice to complete the change.” I nodded. “I thought I was human before I got stabbed so would that count?” The Doctor shook his head. “No, that’s not enough.” I then remembered the blue crack in the locker room. “Wait. What does a blue glowing crack mean?” the room went quiet. T whirring and the hissing of the engines was prominent. “A blue crack?” I nodded. “I know how you became the Aurora. The TimeLords gave you 12 regenerations. At the moment you passed the point of no return. You were supposed to die.” I was taken aback. I was used. Against my own will. To see if some stupid myth worked. The TARDIS started to vibrate violently. “Doctor, what’s happening?” the Doctor looked at me and I felt the weird feeling in me again and everything stopped. Then I blacked out.

When I woke up the TARDIS was different. It was more brighter and kinda smaller. I rubbed my head and looked around. “Hello?” I called out. “Hello, how did you get in my TARDIS without going through the doors?” I turned and saw a man wearing a plaid coat with a bowtie and slick brown hair. “I-I’m sorry. Who are you?” He chuckled. “Why, I’m the Doctor!”
