𝙰 𝚛𝚘𝚢𝚊𝚕 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚌𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 , 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚊𝚍𝚟𝚒𝚜𝚘𝚛 .

" '𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗠𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘! Royal advisor coming through! "
A voice yelled as a body was making its way through the sea of students rather quickly .

Soon, it was revealed to be a girl with medium brown skin, a little bit of a baby face , her hair in Goddess locs , with slight curled pieces of hair hanging in her face .

She wore a off-white collared shirt with green embroidery at the cuffs and collar , which was tucked into a green skirt that hugged her curves nicely , on her feet she wore black mary janes and off-white ruffled socks to match .

This was Melanie , Princess of Maldonia , and Heir to the throne.

She clearly seemed to be in a hurry holding a bunch of important folders and a binder tightly to her chest so she didn't drop it .

" Royal Advisor coming through ! Move it, people !!"
Her yelling immediately made people move out of her way , as she ran towards her best friends office/room . Her best friend being , yes , Soon-to-be King Benjamin Beast .

She was also his Royal Advisor , which means she was in charge of eeeeverything .

She finally had made it to the room , and if her schedule served her correctly , he was being fitted for his coronation suit . She knocked impatiently before just sliding the door open .

" Mel! Finally , what took you so long ?"
Ben asked cheekily as he turned to her while standing on the platform while the tailor practically manhandled him.

" You know exactly why, Ben! God, i wish this place had secret passage ways ..."
She mumbled the last bit to herself as she set her stuff on his desk before grabbing a paper and pen walking back over to the boy .
" You need to sign this, by the way . Have you told them yet ?"

He grabbed the paper and pen from her, leaning over a nearby table to sign it, then handing it back to her with a sigh .
" No , I'm worried what they might say ! Like, I get I'm going to be king soon , but this is a very... touching thing to tell them ."

Melanie hummed softly as she moved to put the paper away before seeing King Adam Beast and Queen Belle Beast enter the room . She immediately stood as straight as possible before bowing once they got closer.

They both smiled at her, Adam walked past them while Belle had stood near Melanie to look over anything that the young girl had questions about.

" How is it possible that you're going to be crowned King next month? You're just a baby!" King Adam said happily as he walked closer to his son. His wife smiled from where she stood next to Melanie.

"He's turning 16, dear."

"Hey, pops." Ben said, fidgeting with his hands a bit as he smiled at his parents, occasionally glancing at Mel for reassurance.

"16? That's far too young to be crowned King. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." King Adam said, looking to his son. While Belle scoffed a bit, looking to Adam.

"Uh, you decided to marry me at 28."

"Well, it was either you or a teapot." Adam winked jokingly at his son and Melanie as the young girl moved closer to Ben, knowing what he was about to say to his parents. "Kidding."

"Mom, Dad." Ben announced before trying to walk off the platform, but the tailor made a 'Ah!' noise telling him he had to stay put. Melanie knew that it was time. She already knew how the king and queen were going to act, though.

"I've chosen my first official proclamation. With Melanie's advice and agreement, of course." Ben smiled as he spoke, taking a couple glances towards Mel who nodded along.

Adam and Belle smiled happily towards each other before looking back at the two teens. This time, Melanie spoke instead of Ben.

"We've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost be given a chance... to live here in Auradon." the girl said professionally with a soft smile.

Belle and Adam seemed shellshocked by that information, though, as their smiles dropped, and their eyes widened. Ben decided to speak again .

"Every time, we look out to the island. We feel like they've been abandoned ." Ben explained as he stepped off the platform and towards his parents . Adam's face started to become a bit more angered, which his wife and Melanie took notice of .

"The children of out sworn enemies. Living among us?" He said with a bit of frustration as he pointed towards the isle.

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most, sir." Melanie said with a swift nod and small smiled . Ben finished off her explanation .

"We've already chosen them ." The future king said with a bright smile . Adam got a little angry at this , clearly not enjoying the idea .

"Have you?" Adam said , his wife placing a reassuring hand on his arm to calm him down , which seemed to work .

"I gave you a second chance... who are their parents?" Belle said softly with a gentle smile as she looked back at the two teens .

"Cruella De Vil ." Melanie started .

"Jafar." Ben spoke a bit shakily .

"Evil Queen..."

"And Maleficent ." They both said together .

" Maleficent?! She is the worst villain in the land !" Adam outbursted, clearly angered by the name .

"Dad, just hear me out here -" Ben tried speaking but was cut off .

"I won't hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes! -"

"But their children are innocent!" Melanie tried reasoning with the king as she stepped closer to Ben . "Don't you think they deserve a chance at a normal life?"

"Dad?..." Ben practically pleaded with Melanie on this , placing a hand on her shoulder for some slight reassurance .

Belle looked over at her husband as they both practically communicated with each other just through their eyes . Which caused the king to let out a sigh before face the two Infront of him .

" I suppose the children are innocent ..." Adam stated before starting to walk away , as Belle walked towards the two kids with a smile .

"Well.... well done ." She whispered to them , fixing bens tux and tucking a braid on Melanie's hair behind her ear gently . They both smiled brightly at her as a silent thank you .

Adam and Belle then walked out of the room , arms laced together . Leaving the two teens alone , once again .

" You think we did the right thing ?" Melanie asked softly .

"I'm.... honestly not sure .." Ben said as they both looked out the window....

Towards the Isle of the Lost .

Where their future , was yet to be told.

Hope you enjoyed the first chapter , i will try and start chapter 2 soon but i do work alot this week so the might be a bit difficult , might be better if i atleast start today have it out by , hopefully, next week .
