"At least he made it there in one piece" Maggie told Marcus, as she hung up the phone. "I wish he listened to us, stayed here so we could take care of him".

"You mean so you could take care of him" he replied "Maggie, he's a grown man. He knows what he needs to do, how to make his own decisions. Just give him some time to absorb it all. Tim will watch over him, you have nothing to worry about."

"Nothing to worry about? How can you say that after everything he has been through just during these past two weeks, let alone his whole life. Sometimes you're just as bad as his father was" she said to him, regretting those words as soon as she said them.

Marcus stood there for a moment, then headed for the door " I need to get to work" he said as he grabbed his keys.

"Marcus wait, please, I didn't mean"...her voice trailing off as he walked out the door. A tear fell along her cheek as she watched him drive off just as her son had 24 hours earlier. 'I sure do know how to mess up the men in my life' she thought as she closed the door.

"Did you see Tim leave" Adam asked Ericha as he came into Cerise room. "No, I thought he was still sleeping, I didn't want to bother him" she replied as she finished dressing Cerise.

"Daddy, Untl Tim go bye bye" Cerise said.

"I guess so honey" Adam said.

"No daddy, untl Tim go bye bye when dark" she told him as she tried to put on her shoes.

"You say goodbye to Uncle Tim? " he asked her.

"No, I taw him walk by my woom, in dark" she told him.

Adam looked at Ericha with a questionable look, then pulled his phone from his pocket as he walked out of the room. He didn't want to say anything in front of Ericha, no one other than the guys and Luke knew what Chance was going through.

He dialed Tim's phone, but it went straight to voicemail. He then texted him, no immediate response as he would usually get back. He decided if he didn't hear from him within the hour he would head over to his apartment.

Austin caught an earlier flight so he asked Rob if he could pick him up at the airport. He wanted to talk to him without Luke or one of the drivers he would have sent. As he grabbed his bags from the luggage area Rob walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder causing him to jump and nearly fall into the carousel.

"Whoa there buddy, I gotcha" Rob laughed as he grabbed him by the arm.

"Dang it Rob, you're gonna get me killed one of these days" he laughed.

"Sorry buddy" he smirked. "You got back sooner than expected".

"Yeah, I figured get as early a flight as I could and get settled before we turn around, repack and head back out" Austin said as he grabbed his bags "I could use a little help here"

"Oh, yeah sorry" Rob chuckled as he grabbed a bag. "You hear anything from Tim or Chance yet".

"Last I spoke with Tim was a couple of days into the break when he headed to Alabama to hang out with Chance. What about you" Austin asked as they walked out of the airport to Rob's car.

"Nothing, course I didn't make an effort to. I wanted to give Chance time with his family and just let him relax. Kelsey and I took Lydia down to Kelseys parents vacation home for a week then spent the last week back here just enjoying each other till we head out again. That baby is growing so fast, I want to get as much quality time in with her as I can, ya know" Rob replied as they put the bags in the back of his car.

"You're a great Dad, Rob. It's gotta be hard not being with them all the time" said Austin as they got in.

"It is but Kelsey understands how much this all means to me, it's my work. I do this for them. So, where to? You hungry?" he asked as they left the parking lot.

"Sure, you're driving so you pick" he laughed.

"It's a good thing we have similar tastes, or you would be sorry you said that " Rob chuckled as they headed down the interstate.

"Hey" he said softly.

"Yeah?"

"Umm, I'm sorry" he said with a slight sniffle.

"I know you are" he said as he released his arms from around him.

"Are you ok" Chance asked.

"No" Tim replied.

Chance immediately stood up, looked at him and asked "No? Why? What's wrong?"

"My ass is numb from sitting on this floor and I can't get up" Tim replied, making Chance laugh slightly. He reached out, grabbing him by the arms and pulled him up to stand.

"Better?" he asked.

"Oh yeah" he replied sarcastically, " I've gone from numb to prickly. Next time could you pick something softer, like the sofa to sit on".

Chance started to apologise when Tim stopped him "I'm just busting your ass a bit, buddy" he said as he pat him on the back and started to walk off the feeling.

"I'm gonna head down to the shower, then maybe we could grab some food, if you want" Chance told him.

"Sure. I need to call Adam while you're in the shower. Don't worry I'm not telling him anything, only that you're here. He called and left a voicemail and a text, so if I don't get back to him he'll be at the doorstep before you know it" Tim said as the prickly feeling subsided.

"Ok. I guess we should all meet up later with Luke and just tell everyone all at the same time." he replied with a slight break in his voice.

"Don't worry..we're going to get through this" he assured him as Chance headed down the hall.
