"I wonder what's up with Chance wanting to be sure you are at dinner tomorrow night" Heather says to Jake as they drive back to her place.

"Why so suspicious, hon. He probably just wants to spend a little time with both of us before he heads back on tour. We all used to hang out before he got so busy" he replies.

Heather just shakes her head, nope there's more to his request, she thinks to herself. He knows about her and Jake, though her mother doesn't know the extent of their relationship, she thinks they are just friends. Jake doesn't live with her, they spend time back and forth at each other's place. She feels her mom would not approve of their casual relationship so she hasn't mentioned much of it to her.

Jake pulls the car up in front of his place, gets out and goes around to Heather's side, opening the door. As she gets out she tells him she thinks it's best that she goes home tonight instead of staying at his place.

"Heather,  you're reading way too much into the reason for this family dinner" he says as he pulls her close.

"Maybe but I'm sure you can get by without me for one night" she smirks as she looks into his eyes. " You're killing me smalls" he says as he leans in and kisses her deeply, trying to convince her to stay. She breaks the kiss and leans back " I'm worth the wait " she chuckles as she turns to walk back to her car. As he smacks her butt he whispers "indeed you are".

Marcus walks Maggie to the door, as she unlocks it she asks if he would like to come in. As he closes the door she turns to him, cupping her hand on his right cheek. He leans down, she gently kisses him on the lips.

"What was that for " he asks with a smile.

"Thank you for caring so much about Chance, for checking on him, for easing my mind today" she replies.

He pulls her closer, "No need to thank me. I would do anything for you, for Chance, for Heather" he tells her as he kisses her softly.

" I love you Maggie" he whispers as he breaks the kiss. She looks deeply into his eyes "I love you too" she smiles.
