Tell Me The Truth.

Jimin had to leave immediately to go home and tend to a family emergency. He got a phone call in the middle of practice and sped to the dorm, grabbing all the luggage he could, and caught a train to Busan.

The members were extremely worried about Jimin and his family, but they knew there wasn't anything they could do from their place at home. They told Jimin to keep in contact as best he could and take all the time he needed. Family always came first.

After Jimin left, Taehyung was the most lonely. He shared a bedroom with his best friend and now it seemed way too empty. He decided to sleep in Jin and Yoongi's room the first night.

The next day was extremely rough for Taehyung. He was moody and disrespectful all day to everyone, although he hadn't meant to be. He couldn't help but be in a bad mood. His best friend was just snatched from him. He felt selfish for wanting Jimin back sooner because he knew he was dealing with a family emergency, but he couldn't help but miss him. Jimin was practically his twin. It felt like half of him was missing.

In the dance studio, Hobi had everyone get to work with choreography but Taehyung stopped him. "Why would we practice without Jimin here? What good will that do? We have to wait for him to get back."

"He won't be back for at least a few more days, sitting around doing nothing won't help us either," Hobi replied.

"But he won't know the steps," Taehyung frowned. How on earth could they just go on without a member being here?

"Hyung can go over the steps with him when he gets back," Jungkook replied.

"That was my plan," Hobi said.

"How do you know he's coming back in a few days?" Taehyung asked. Jimin said he didn't know how long he'd be gone but he'd come back as soon as he could. "Did he tell someone that?"

"Well, no," Jin interrupted, "We kind of just figured that's how long he'd need."

"So nobody actually knows when he's coming home?" Taehyung looked around and saw the look of confusion on everyone's faces.

"I guess not, no," Yoongi replied.

Taehyung went on more about how they couldn't be practicing without Jimin to the point where it actually turned into a big fight. Nobody understood why he was putting up such a protest about doing some choreography. He ended up storming out of the room and refusing to participate.

"What the hell is wrong with him?" Jin asked the rest of them.

"I don't know but it seems like all the sudden he thinks he can be disrespectful to us and I won't put up with that. I'll talk to him at home," Namjoon said. The members practiced now without both Jimin or Taehyung.

Once everyone got home, Namjoon immediately started drilling into Taehyung about how he isn't allowed to be disrespectful again. "Next time one of your hyungs tells you to do something, you need to cooperate. We all need to cooperate."

"I'm sorry, hyung. I was just in a bad mood."

"That's not an excuse. We all get in bad moods, that doesn't mean you can just act like a brat because of it," Yoongi scolded.

"I'm sorry." Taehyung stood there and started crying and everyone immediately lightened up. Jungkook walked over and hugged him. "It's okay, hyung. We can restart tomorrow."

Hobi patted Taehyung on the back. "Can we just pretend today never happened?"

Taehyung nodded as he wiped his tears and departed to his room, curling up in bed and falling asleep without eating dinner.

A few more days had gone by and nobody had heard a word from Jimin. The others knew he was extremely busy with things, but Taehyung was getting really bad anxiety. He tried texting him over and over.

Taehyung: do you know when you're coming back

Taehyung: jimin do you know when you're coming home

Taehyung: i miss you a lot

When his best friend never answered, Taehyung got more angry and moody. He stopped participating completely at practice and never helped out around the dorm. He started backtalking his hyungs so much that they couldn't take it anymore. He had gotten into a really bad fight with Hobi when the rapper scolded Taehyung for sitting out on practices.

"You're going to make us suck!" Hobi screamed at Taehyung.

"Then go ahead and suck! You have no problem practicing without Jimin so what the hell difference does it make?!" Taehyung screamed back. His blood was boiling with anger at his hyung for scolding him. He didn't feel he deserved it.

"How many times do I have to tell you I will practice with him when he gets back?! You're already here, so you need to be doing your damn part in this band and stop acting like a whiny little brat!" Hobi screamed.

"I'm not acting like a brat!" Taehyung screamed back at the top of his lungs. He felt his face turn red with anger as his heart rate picked up. He was so incredibly mad that he was in trouble he didn't know how else to express it so he picked up a couch pillow and threw it at Hobi.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Namjoon screamed when he saw what was happening. Everyone saw it, as they all stood around in the living room.

"Tell him to stop being an ass!" Taehyung screamed.

Hobi picked the pillow up and chucked it right back at Taehyung's face. "Fuck you! Don't you ever throw something at me!"

"Stop it!" Yoongi screamed and turned to Taehyung. "What the hell do you want us to do with you, huh? Do you want out? Is that what you want? I can't see why else you'd refuse to do your damn job and then act like a damn baby when we confront you about it!"

Taehyung stood there hyperventilating as he began to cry. He didn't respond to his hyung.

"Yoongi asked you a question," Jin scolded.

"I don't care," Taehyung mumbled.

"For the love of God, what the hell is your problem lately? I've never seen you act like this. Ever. Are you sick or something? Huh? 'Cause if you told us what was going on that'd make this a hell of a lot easier!" Yoongi yelled.

"You don't know shit!" Taehyung screamed.

"Stop being disrespectful to your hyungs! You know damn well you're to respect your elders!" Jin screamed as his ears turned red. He was having trouble controlling his anger now too. They all were. They couldn't understand why Taehyung was being so rude and defensive, and just not himself. They knew it started as soon as Jimin left, but they didn't understand how that would contribute to the problem because they knew Jimin wasn't going to be gone all too long.

Taehyung figured since he couldn't be rude and disrespectful to his hyungs, he'd take his anger out on Jungkook instead. The maknae had been standing back and watching everything unfold before him as he nervously bit his nails. He absolutely hated it when his hyungs were angry, and he did feel bad for Taehyung, but he also understood why everyone was so frustrated with him. He wished he could help somehow but he didn't know what to do. Whenever someone else was fighting he always did his best to stay out of it so that he himself didn't get into some kind of trouble.

Taehyung turned to Jungkook. "What the hell are you looking at, huh? Do you have something to say too?"

Jungkook frantically shook his head no as his heart thudded in his chest. He wanted no part of this fight and instantly regretted staying in the room to watch it.

Namjoon got in front of Taehyung and pointed his finger in his face. "Just because he's younger than you doesn't mean you can disrespect him for the hell of it, Taehyung! He didn't do shit so don't even try and turn this on him or bring him into this! This is between you and us, not our maknae. So don't you even dare!"

Taehyung felt bad that he'd tried to start something with Jungkook but before he could apologize the maknae ran away to his bedroom to remove himself from the problem.

Taehyung turned back to the others, crying and screaming at them.

"How can you not care? How can you just not care?!" Taehyung screamed.

"Not care about what, huh?! You? Is it you that you think we aren't caring about because if we didn't care we sure as hell wouldn't be wasting our time with you now would we?!" Hobi yelled.

"No, not about me, about Jimin! He left and none of you care!" Taehyung screamed.

"What the hell do you mean we don't care? Of course we care!" Namjoon yelled. He was confused. He didn't quite understand what Taehyung was trying to say. Why on earth would he think we don't care that Jimin left?

"You think just because I needed us to practice without him, that none of us care that he's gone? We all miss him Tae! Not just you!" Hobi yelled. It had become a screaming match between Taehyung and Hobi again. Taehyung kept screaming about how shitty him, and everyone else was, for just letting Jimin leave without a fight.

"Taehyung what the hell are you talking about?" Yoongi asked. He was confused now too. "Why would we fight him about going to see his family due to an emergency?"

"Just tell me the truth!" Taehyung dropped to his knees on the living room floor and buried his face into the carpet, soaking it with the tears that were pouring out. The hyungs stood around him, staring at him.

"The truth about what?" Jin asked.

Taehyung mumbled something into the carpet that nobody could understand.

"We can't hear you. The truth about what?" Jin asked again.

Taehyung shot his head up and screamed at everyone. "That he left! That he left and he's never coming back! Just tell the damn truth already and stop trying to brush it off that he went on some trip! We haven't heard from him in days! I know he's not coming back!" Taehyung dropped his head back down and sobbed into the floor more.

The hyungs hearts sank. They all knelt down around him and all put a hand on his back.

"Is this what all this has been about? You think Jimin quit?" Yoongi asked, almost laughing when he said it.

Taehyung looked Yoongi in the eyes. "Y-yes," he sniffled.

Namjoon started rubbing his back, "Why in the world would you ever think that?"

"B-because he left a-and nobody heard from him and he's never coming back!" Taehyung sobbed. Jin grabbed Taehyung and pulled him into his chest. He couldn't help but chuckle. He knew Taehyung's sadness and heartbreak was real, but he also knew that his dongsaeng was having a very irrational fear and that he was panicking for nothing. "Oh, Taehyungie. Is this why you've been acting all weird?"

Taehyung nodded. "I'm scared."

His hyungs sighed.

"I don't understand why you think he just quit the band. And why would you assume we would know something like that and you wouldn't? Just because he can't reply because he's busy doesn't mean he's flat out abandoning you. And you know he'd never just up and leave without telling all of us and talking about it." Hobi ran his fingers through Taehyung's hair. At the same time Jungkook had overheard their conversation from his room and came back out. He got down next to Taehyung with the others and wrapped his arms around him. "Jiminie hyung won't leave us. He'd never do that. He'll be back Taehyungie, don't cry!"

Everyone's comfort felt nice and reassuring, but the anxiety was still in the back of his chest. "He's really coming back? He didn't quit? "

Namjoon smiled, "No, Taehyung, he didn't quit. I promise you on all of our lives he's coming back, and when have any of us ever broken a promise?"

"Never," Taehyung shrugged. "I'm sorry for how I've been. I was scared and didn't know what to do."

"Why didn't you tell us this was how you were feeling sooner?" Jungkook asked.

"I don't know. I felt like if I didn't ask, you guys couldn't confirm it. I was afraid of asking and being told that yes, he quit. It was safer for me not to say anything so I could pretend he was still coming back."

"Well, no need to be scared or pretend anything, okay?" Yoongi reassured. Taehyung nodded. As comforting as everyone was, he really just wanted to be hugging Jimin. At least that would be concrete proof that he hadn't been abandoned.

"I'm sorry for how I've been," Taehyung frowned.

Hobi squeezed him, "I'm not going to say it's okay how you acted, but I will say that now knowing why you were acting that way makes me a lot less mad. None of us realized you were scared and hurting. You have to tell us these things from now on okay? We could have avoided all of this fighting." Hobi kissed Taehyung on the forehead. "I wasn't exactly nice either. I'm sorry too, Taehyungie."

Jin asked Taehyung if there was anything he'd like to eat but he said he was tired and still not feeling well so he'd like to just go to bed. The members all hugged him and kissed his head goodnight before he departed back to his lonely and empty room. He couldn't help but still cry. His heart was busy hurting over everything that had transpired these last few days.

Taehyung: I love you and I miss you. I hope everything is okay with your family and I will see you when you get back

Taehyung fell asleep before awaiting a reply he knew probably wouldn't be coming. He tossed and turned all night as he had nightmares about Jimin never coming back, something bad happening to him, a whole array of bad situations. He had finally fallen into a deep sleep when he was woken up by someone pouncing on his bed and trapping him in a bear hug.

Taehyung rubbed his eyes and looked to see who it was.

"Taehyung-sii! I'm hooooooooome!"

Taehyung smiled and cried tears of joy as he hugged back one of his best friends in the entire world, Jimin.

{The End}
