13. Time Again
It's time for me to say farewell -
but I don't want to.
Nigh time for me to bid adieu -
but I won't wish to.
It's time for me to let you leave,
high time for me to let it go,
now time for me to say goodbye,
give up your ghost and let it die,
it's time for me to give you up,
we weren't together but we're breaking up,
it's time for me, alas, to leave
and time for me at last to see,
that time and time and TIME again
no matter, now, how it began --
that this is how it ends.
No matter, now, how hard I wished,
No matter, then, how hard I tried,
or cried, or thought that I would die
three score and ten, still not knowing,
if what you promised was a lie.
The future has become the past
and nothing that I do will make these broken wishes last.
You have gone, you think you're free,
though none of them could hear your desperate pleas for help except for me.
But still, I wish you well
and I still wish we were
what we had been before
two children lost in time,
in a garden by the shore
far from the raging war.
But still time and time again,
when we heard the midnight chime
you were swept away from shore
and I was left alone, with no goodbye
just staring at the cloven sky
as if I had the power to wish you back
to my side.
Goodbye.

I like this one, but it's really random. (*Cough* it's really not this is just extremely awkward for me to talk about*cough*)
