"You think I'm beautiful?" The human whispered. It was so low you couldn't hear it through the music. On top of that, Jimin was very soft spoken.
Yoongi kept looking at the human in front of him, mesmerized by his glow. He could feel the power and he was drawn to it.
Drawn to him.
All he wanted to do was touch him and absorb all of his power to not feel so weak and on a deathbed like he felt right now.
He gulped down nervously because he had tuned everything out. Including what the man had said. It was strange, he saw the humans mouth moving but he didn't pay attention to his words.
Being too distracted by his essence. It was clear that any other supernatural being here could see it and feel it too. That's why that yokai had approached him.
Jungkook's words echoed through his mind once again. What if this human was dumb enough to accept a yokai as his familiar? They'd take his power and kill him.
Then again, Jungkook also said that he was protected by a ring, but could he really trust the ring? This human had his power in him and he was just—human.
He could fall and trip down the stairs and break his neck. What then? Would the gods just take that power and give it to another one? Would that mean that the test failed and therefore Yoongi would be disqualified from gaining his abilities again?
The questions bombarded him and it suddenly felt like he couldn't breathe. Like the room was too small and that the walls were closing in on him.
Anxiety.
Something humans felt quite often but something he wasn't used to. The sweat droplets formed over his upper lip and forehead and he felt flushed.
"I need another drink." He blurted out loud. Not at anyone in particular. At times he spoke his thoughts out loud without realizing.
"I could use a drink too." The human said, following him behind.
Yoongi walked through the crowd at times pushing some people out of the way. They were so drunk and high they didn't care at all.
When he made it to what appeared to be a room full of alcohol and more quiet he took a deep breath. He put down the empty plastic cup on a table and continued to stabilize his breathing. The music was still blasting from the living room but at least it seemed to be less noisy in there.
He made his way to a cooler on the floor and he opened it up. He noticed his hand shaking a little as he grabbed a beer bottle. When he turned around he gasped realizing that the human had followed him.
"I need a drink too." He murmured casually.
"I doubt they have cherry coke." Yoongi responded.
The human smiled, like Yoongi had said something amusing. It made him feel weird inside without explanation so he turned his gaze away from him.
"I drink alcohol too." He leaned over to grab a beer.
Yoongi used the edge of the table to open up his beer bottle. He began to chug it and felt a bit more relaxed.
The human attempted to open up his too, but was struggling. Yoongi watched annoyedly until he grew tired of his unsuccessful attempt.
He grabbed the beer bottle from his hand, almost touching it but he reserved himself from doing so. After he got it opened he handed it back to him.
The human smiled once again. Yoongi realized why so many yokais were after him now. Not only was he mortal, but he was also naive, smiling at everyone and everything. Welcoming anyone in.
It was frustrating to know someone like him held his power. He was so careless. It's like he didn't understand the importance of it at all.
"Thank you. I also wanted to...apologize for the other night."
"Huh?" Yoongi responded confused at why he was still speaking to him.
"Well, at the bar I grabbed you without permission and I don't know what took over me." He laughed nervously as his fingers tapped against the cold glass beer bottle.
"Oh yeah. That's whatever." Yoongi shrugged, leaning back on a table and continuing to drink his beer.
Yoongi hoped that the human would take the hint and walk away but he didn't. Instead, he stood next to Yoongi while occasionally taking sips of his beer.
A few of the college kids walked in chatting to get more drinks. Yoongi slightly turned his head to see the human from the corner of his eye.
He could feel the power radiating through his skin. It was as if the human was a magnet and Yoongi was on the other end.
Yoongi's arm slowly started moving closer to him because he needed to touch him only a little bit. Just as his elbow nearly made contact with his body, Yoongi abruptly straightened up.
What was wrong with him? He felt like a needy kid seeking warmth and comfort except this human was a complete stranger. Yoongi couldn't possibly want to be near him.
"Is everything okay?" The human asked.
Yoongi chugged the remaining of his beer and left the empty bottle on the table. "I need to look for my friend. You should get back to yours too."
"But I thou—"
With that being said he fled the room not wanting to know what else he had to say. Once again he found himself going through the obnoxious loud crowd. The smell of smoke and humidity made him scrunch his nose up.
In his hurry to get out of there he bumped into a blonde man. He didn't care to stop and apologize and he continued to walk by.
"Hey! Gosh. People have no matters!" Taehyung screeched. He rubbed his shoulder because that man had runned into him quite harshly.
He kept looking around hoping to see Jimin nearby. He had entertained himself arguing with Seokjin that Jimin grew bored and walked away.
Taehyung had been trying to reach him through the phone but had been unsuccessful. As he continued walking, he could suddenly feel his bladder start to cramp.
Before continuing to look for Jimin, he figured he'd make a quick stop in the bathroom. He saw a few people in a hallway so he assumed the bathroom was nearby.
"Is there a bathroom here?" He asked randomly.
A girl with hot pink hair pointed to the last room on the left. He smiled with gratitude and made his way there. He was so eager to pee that he didn't even think of knocking before opening the door.
When his eyes landed on the hot art model pissing, he squealed, quickly closing the door again. He stared at the empty wall in front of him wide eyed.
A few moments later, the door opened up and the model walked out. He was drying his hands against his jeans.
"Were you not taught to knock before entering?"
Taehyung's face was a bright pink and he cleared his throat, embarrassed and annoyed. "Well, it's a party and there's music. I did knock, you just didn't hear me."
"That's a lie. You didn't knock." Jungkook accused.
"Did too! Anyways, were you not taught to lock the door?"
This was the most they've ever interacted even though Taehyung saw him almost everyday. Everyone noticed Jungkook, of course how could they not with a face like that?
But Jungkook didn't notice anyone. That was a fact. He had noticed Jimin and Taehyung was convinced it was because his best friend was absolutely gorgeous.
It did hurt his feelings a bit though which was stupid considering he had no relationship with Jungkook to begin with.
"The door has no lock." He stated.
Taehyung was so flustered he didn't even know what to respond. He found himself tongue tied and felt as if he were a teenager again.
"You look familiar. Have I seen you somewhere?" Jungkook asked with a teasing smile.
Taehyung instantly frowned, rolling his eyes, "Ugh. Goodbye." He went into the bathroom and closed the door behind him.
He remained there for a few seconds afraid that Jungkook would open it up, but he didn't. He wasn't that important to be chased after.

"There you are. Where the hell have you been?" Yoongi asked as a smug Jungkook approached him.
"Spending my time with a lovely blonde. I could ask you the same. I saw you with the mortal god."
Yoongi looked around him afraid someone had heard but there was no one around. Everyone was inside the crowded party while they were now in the parking lot.
"That was a mistake. He kept following me."
"I still think you should consider becoming his familiar. Might as well get it over with."
"Yeah not happening." Yoongi said, defensively crossing his arms over his chest.
"So you don't care what happens to him?"
"I could give two fucks." Yoongi shrugged.
Jungkook chuckled and Yoongi turned his attention to him. "What's so funny huh?" He asked angrily.
"Nothing, nothing. I just figured you'd want to protect him since he is carrying your power around."
"He's protected by that stupid ring."
"Yeah, from yokai's. Well, who knows the ring might only protect him from supernatural beings he doesn't trust. There's no guarantee that it works on everything."
Yoongi groaned, "Agh, can you not get more ideas in my head?"
"Okay, okay, I'm just saying. One more thing, you're absolutely sure you don't give a fuck what happens to him?"
"Yes I am absolutely sure."
Jungkook shrugged, "Okay then. I guess you wouldn't care if he slips from that table over there and breaks his neck."
Yoongi immediately looked towards the window in front of him. He saw the human on top of a table receiving liquor from a stranger as a crowd around them cheered.
His mouth slightly formed an 'o' as he watched in horror thinking of everything that could go wrong in a matter of seconds.
Jungkook leaned over next to his ear with a smirk, "Good thing you don't give a fuck about what happens to him."
