Chapter 1

*3rd POV*

"You are extraordinary, my sons. Unlike anything the world has ever seen. Bound for greatness, destined to protect the people of New York. A dark fore is growing, a criminal organization known as the Foot Clan. So named because they step over the good people of this city with no regard. Their leader, The Shredder will come at you with ferocity. His Foot Clan will outnumber you. The people of New York will look upon you as their only hope." Splinter explained as it showed many things that have to do with the Foot Clan.

"Eyes focused. Elbows locked. Stance low." Splinter said as the sound of blades swishing around were heard. "And we begin. Be one with the blades. Lead their path. I know you are eager to answer their calls, but your training is not yet complete. The world below must remain your home. As your father, you must trust me. Patience. You're not yet ready to go above ground. But I believe when that day comes, and you rise to the streets, you are going to be responsible for amazing things." Splinter said as it showed four turtles staring at the big city.

*My POV*

April, Vern, EC, KC and I were at the docks, because apparently a Foot Clan attack here at the docks, and April wanted more details. "Mr. Rivetti! Mr. Rivetti. Mr. Rivetti, please." April said as she chased after Mr. Rivetti, EC, KC and I chased after her.

"You're the most persistent human I've ever met in my life, I swear. Look, I already told the cops everything, all right?" Mr. Rivetti said as we were walking. "But maybe there's a detail you could've forgotten to share with the police." April said as she had a notepad.

"Sweetheart, you don't forget something like that. Ten guys storm in here, broad daylight, force us to the ground at gunpoint. And these are restricted chemicals. Benzyl cyanide and some deaminating agents, too. You don't just buy this tuff, even on the black market." Mr. Rivetti explained.

April was writing this all down. "Wait, you said deaminating agents, those are used in genetic research." EC said. "Is there anybody else that's trafficking these sorts of chemicals besides you?" I asked for April's story.

"There's one other high-security facility along this waterfront. But they don't move nearly as much cargo as we do." Mr. Rivetti told us and April wrote it down. "O'Neil! Girls we're live in 30 minutes! Come on!" Vern said as he tapped his wrist.

"Uh..." KC said. "Okay?" Mr. Rivetti said as we were about to walk away. "No, no, no, I'll be right back. Please don't go anywhere. I'll be right back." April said before we went back over to Vern. "Come on, you're killing me." Vern said.

"I'm working." April said as she pointed to Rivetti. "That's a paying job?" Vern asked. "No." April said as she looked away before looking at him. "Because we have an actual paying job. Look, you don't think that every crime reporter in the city has been trying to work this Foot Clan story?" Vern asked us.

"I know that, but there is a new angle on this, and I am this close to getting it. I just need a couple of more..." April said going to point to Rivetti, only to see that he walked off. EC, KC and I glared at Vern.

"Let's just stick to what we're good at." Vern said as April walked to the passenger side of the van while EC, KC and I climbed into the back of the van. "Mhm." April said. "Let's stick to what we're good at. We're good at it." Vern said.

We were in town, about to do our news report. "In five, four..." Vern said before counting down on his figures as April, EC, KC and I were standing in front of the camera. "Hi guys, this is April O'Neil, Erwina, Isabella and KC from Channel 6 News, and we are here in beautiful New York City on the first day of spring." April said into her mic.

"And you know what that means." KC said into her mic. "It is time to shed that pesky winter weight." EC said. "And here with us today is celebrity fitness trainer Harley Pasternak. Hi, Harley." I said as I put my hand on his shoulder and tilted my mic towards him.

"Good morning, April, Erwina, Isabella and KC. Twenty years I've studied the animal kingdom. There are fat pigs, there are fat cows. There are not fat birds. All right, I want you to visualize a sexy seagull." Harley said as he brought us over to some trampolines.

April got on one and began doing what Harley was telling her. "So we're going to squat down, and flap your wings. Right over there. Full extension. Picture you're leaving the cold north and you're flying. You're migrating." Harley said.

We were done with the interview, and we were packing the stuff up. "Four years of journalism school so that we can do that. Four years of our lives, Vern. It's embarrassing." April said as her, EC, KC and I were putting our jackets back on.

"Look, girls, I get it, you want to be serious journalists. I see you four sniffing around the newsroom for the big stories. But it's also okay to just give people something a little lighter. A little...a little froth." Vern said and we looked at him confused.

"Froth?" KC asked as we just stared at him confused. "You know how when you get a coffee, it's just, like, coffee, then they put a little froth on it. It's kind of nice." Vern said and that's when we knew what he was talking about.

"Vern, that's foam." EC said as she helped me with my hair. "Yes, foam, froth, you get the point. It's just...it's nice, it tastes good, it's candy. You ever heard the expression, 'Never take candy from a baby'? It's because even babies love candy! It's nice and you're giving people something they like that's good and nice. They look at you and they see, 'Wow, there's a nice...there's candy'. The point is, I think that you should be rewarded, not punishing yourself. Okay? And I'm...I'm prepared to reward you. I say that we go to my buddy's old restaurant downtown. It's very vibey--" Vern said but I cut him off.

"We just ate on the way over here." I pointed out as April, EC, KC and I walked over to grab our bikes. "No, I know we just...I'm not saying for a full meal, we're just gonna eat appetizers." Vern said but we ignored him.

"We gotta go finish that interview. We'll see you at the office, Vern!" April said as we were on our bikes. "I will see you at the office!" Vern said with a scoff as we got on our bikes and rode off. We were riding through the streets, before we got to a part of the docks.

"We just wanted to follow up, Mr. Rivetti." April said as she was on the phone with him. EC, KC and I were waiting while sitting on our bikes. "Are you kidding me? How did you get my number?" Mr. Rivetti asked confused.

"If I could just ask one more question." April said before she was cut off. "Listen, I already told you everything I know about this crime, everything." Mr. Rivetti said. "Wait, wait, wait." April said as we listened.

"Okay, you wanna know anything else you go back down to the docks, and you see my guy, Stan. He'll tell you anything else you need to know, okay? And hey, do me a favor. Lose my number, all right?" Mr. Rivetti asked. We were riding to the docks like Rivetti told us to.

*3rd POV*

A group of people opened a shipping container on the docks. Allowing the leader to see it. She turned to them and nodded. "Good." She said before walking away. "It's clear. Let's open it up." A voice said as they began grabbing it.

"Container's good. Move on to the next one." A voice said as they were making their way with the boxes. "Move it out! Get those to the trucks now!" Another voice said as they kept making their way around with the boxes.

*My POV*

We were riding by a diamond shaped wired fence. But we heard metal clanging. We stopped as we saw movement. "Move out, next point! Go, go, go." A voice said and we looked to the Foot Clan breaking into the shipping containers.
