Chapter 7 Eddie's Trailer
A/N: sorry this one is a little short! My husband is having surgery at the end of the month, and I will have to help him a lot so I'll be busy so I wanted to try to get this update out before then!
Bex was over the moon, as she sat in the passenger's seat of Blaire's truck.
"You good over there Barbie? You look like you're about to implode." Blaire smirked.
"I kissed him. He kissed me...we kissed. I kissed Eddie Munson!" Bex practically shrieked.
"Been there done that. Definitely was not as magical for me as it apparently is for you." Blaire chuckled.
"Wait...you kissed Eddie?" Bex asked. "I thought you liked girls."
"Technically I like both but lean more towards women." Blaire shrugged. "And yes. I kissed him and it was like what I imagine kissing my brother to be like." Blaire said and scrunched her nose. "He hated it too though. We were playing truth or dare and Gareth dared Eddie and I to kiss." Blaire said.
"Oh sounds like these parties at Eddie's trailer get a little wild." Bex laughed nervously.
"If that is your idea of wildness, sure." Blaire snickered. "At least no one here is going to drug you." Blaire added as she pulled into the trailer park behind Eddie's van. "There will be weed, but it's totally optional if you want to partake in that. These get togethers at Eddies are very lowkey and chilled out, not really a party as you called it. There's loud music because that's the only way to play it but, It's only the band and me usually. Every now and then Chrissy shows up."
"Wait.. you actually get along with Chrissy??" Bex asked.
"Yeah." Blaire shrugged. "I get it, she puts on a show like we don't at school because if your brother ever found out she hangs out with Eddie he would go apeshit."
"Yeah he probably would." Bex said.
"There is no probably about it." Blaire snorted and parked her truck. "Ready?"
"Yeah." Bex said and opened the truck door and hopped out.
They approached Eddie's van as he and the band were exiting it. Eddie put his arm around Bex's shoulders. Bex moved her hand up and laced her fingers with his. She smiled contentedly.
Gareth raised his eyebrows at them.
"Munson, you didn't tell us you were hot for teacher." He smirked clearly poking fun at how Bex was tutoring Eddie in Algebra.
"Actually.. I specifically remember you telling us at lunch Monday that there was no way this would ever happen." Jeff said slyly.
"Yeah yeah it's cute enough to make me hurl. Whose turn is it to order Pizza? I'm starving." Blaire stated.
Bex shook her head and smiled.
"I believe it's on Gareth this time." Eddie said.
"So help me if you order that monstrosity with pineapple and jalapeno this time I will choke slam you." Blaire threatened him.
"Oh come on! It wasn't that bad Blaire. It was new and I wanted to try it." Gareth argued
"Well you were the only one to eat it. I didn't even like it when the munchies hit." Blaire argued back.
"Children.." Eddie sighed and rolled his eyes at the two of them.
"She literally threatened me dude." Gareth said.
"It's her love language." Eddie shrugged "We need to behave ourselves we are in the presence of Hawkins High School royalty." He added and walked up the steps to the trailer home with Bex.
Blaire snorted. "Don't let that shit go to your head." She said and nudged Bex.
Eddie unlocked the door with his key, and opened it and gestured for her to enter before him with an adorable little bow.
"My Lady." He said.
Bex giggled and stepped into the trailer home.
"Sorry for the mess...the maid is off this week." Eddie joked.
"Oh..it's not even that messy." Bex shrugged. At least it wasn't nearly as messy as she was expecting it to be. She watched Eddie pick up some stuff trying to tidy up a bit.
"Make yourself at home." Eddie smiled at her.
"Okay." Bex said and bit her lip and gave him a little smile.
Gareth was on the phone ordering a pizza, Jeff and Blaire were pushing the furniture around so it was in a circle in the living room around the coffee table
"Guys lets make sure we move the furniture back this time. Wayne was not happy when he came home last time to the furniture all fucked up." Eddie said
"Give him my sincerest apologies." Blaire said.
"Pizzas ordered, be about 20 minutes." Gareth said as he plopped down in one of the chairs.
Bex sat down on a small sofa.
Eddie walked into the living room area with his metal lunch pail and a couple of yoohoos tucked under his arm. He set the pail on the coffee table and sat down next to Bex and offered her a Yoohoo.
"A drink for the princess." He said with a grin.
"Thank you." Bex smiled and took the bottle of yoohoo.
"Where the hell is my YooHoo Munson?" Blaire asked.
"You know where the kitchen is, Nolan. Walk your happy ass into it and get you one." Eddie said and twisted the top of his off and took a drink.
Blaire threw her head back and groaned dramatically and began to drag herself to the kitchen.
"Hey get me one while you're in there." Gareth said.
Blaire groaned again even louder and more dramatically.
"I'm sorry you have to live with that." Eddie joked and took the yoohoo bottle that Bex was struggling to open from her and popped it open and handed it back.
"Thank you." She said. "I actually like living with Blaire, I feel like I can actually be myself around her..not this perfect little pom pom wielding princess everyone else sees me as."
"So.. who is the real Rebecca Carver then?" Eddie asked with a smirk.
"Stick around Munson and maybe you will find out." Bex said and gave him a flirtatious smile and wink.
"Oh, believe me sweetheart I'm not going anywhere" he replied and let his hand rest on just above her knee.
Every time Luke would touch her thigh, she'd feel sick to her stomach, but with Eddie it was an entirely different feeling. She felt like butterflies were flying around in her stomach. She had a whole summer to get to know Luke. She had only been spending time with Eddie for a couple of weeks yet she trusted him so much. It was almost as if she could feel that Luke's intentions with her were not good but she knew Eddie would never hurt her.
Blaire walked back into the livingroom and tossed Gareth a yoohoo and plopped down in the recliner. She looked at Bex and Eddie who were just staring at each other.
"If you two don't quit that shit I'm gonna lose my appetite." Blaire said.
"You're just jealous because that cute little blonde you were talking to at the show turned you down." Eddie snickered.
Blaire picked up a throw pillow from the chair and threw it at him.
"Yeah right. I was the one who turned her down." Blaire said. "Not my type."
"She's got tits and legs, thats usually just your type." Eddie shrugged.
Bex almost choked on her yoohoo.
"We all know who she really wants." Jeff said.
"Shut up Jeff." Blaire said and glared.
"Oh! Who?" Bex asked.
Blaire glared at her now.
"Robin Buckley." Eddie answered. "The only girl she completely chickens out when it comes to talking to."
"I do not chicken out!" Blaire exclaimed.
"Then how come you haven't asked her to the halloween dance yet?" Gareth asked.
"She's always got shit to do. And I've always got shit to do." Blaire shrugged.
"Sure." Eddie chuckled.
"I know Robin." Bex said.
Blaire's eyes widened for a split second before she realized that look might have made it look like she was actually interested in how Bex knew Robin.
"I could totally talk to her for you," Bex shrugged.
"I don't need you to talk to her for me. I can do it myself..If I even wanted to." Blaire shrugged.
"Okay then." Bex said and put her hands out. "Didn't mean to offend you."
"Saying Hi to Blaire offends her if you catch her on the wrong day." Eddie said.
"Are we going to keep poking fun at my mental health or are we going to smoke?" Blaire asked. "Remember Munson, a high Blaire is a happy Blaire."
Bex laughed a little.
"I've gotta put that shit on a t shirt." Eddie laughed and leaned forward and opened his metal lunch pail.
"You're buying right?" Eddie asked. "Reefer Rick said I have got to stop giving you freebies."
"Of course I am." Blaire said and pulled a wad of cash out of her pocket and tossed it on the coffee table. "I'll take whatever you got. Everyones gonna have a good fucking time tonight."
"Holy shit Blaire, where did you get this kind of cash??" Eddie exclaimed.
"Hopper gave me my dad's wallet when he got arrested. He said he wasn't supposed to but he figured I could use whatever money my Dad had in there...hindsight, he probably wouldn't want me spending it on pot but.. What Hop doesn't know won't hurt him." Blaire shrugged.
"What did your dad do for a living?" Bex asked looking at the chunk of cash on the table.
"He did what Eddie does." Blaire shrugged.
"Bullshit." Eddie said. "He sold the dangerous shit. I just sell the feel good shit. And you know whoever your dad was getting his supplies from could come after you for this cash Blaire so you better be careful waving it around." Eddie said in a warning tone, like a protective older brother. Blaire seemed to settle down a little bit. Eddie was a good guy and it seemed he may have been the only one who could corral Blaire's chaos.
"I will.. Okay?" She said quietly. Eddie took the cash on the table and counted it and then handed her half of it back.
"You still get the friend discount." He said.
"Thanks Munson." Blaire smiled and Eddie put the cash in the lunch pail and pulled a bag out.
"Want me to roll em for you?" He asked.
"Please. I suck at it." Blaire said.
Bex watched curiously as Eddie grabbed something else from the lunch pail and began to lay out little papers, and carefully put some of the stuff in the bag on each piece of paper and began rolling them.
"Is this the stuff you gave Chrissy?" Bex asked.
"Kind of. This strain is a bit stronger, I get it specifically for Blaire but we all use it too. It helps Blaire with her bipolar shit." Eddie explained.
"Mostly the manic episodes." Blaire added.
"Oh." Bex said. "What..does it do exactly?" She asked.
"It relaxes the brain..and well everything else." Eddie said. "Though if you get too much it could cause paranoia and actually make anxiety worse."
"Yeah I found that out the hard way one night. Do not recommend it." Blaire said.
"We are really careful,l that night it was just a freak accident." Eddie said. "So..don't worry." Eddie said sensing Bex was getting a little nervous. Eddie put the rolled joints into a bag and slid them across the table to Blaire.
Blaire took one out of the bag and fished around in the pocket of her skirt for a lighter.
"Ah fuck, I left my lighter at the house." She groaned.
Eddie retrieved one from his pocket and tossed it to her.
"Sweet." She said and lit the end of the joint and put the other end between her lips. She took a hit and passed it to Jeff. Blaire exhaled blowing smoke like a dragon.
"You always get the good shit Eddie." She said and smirked
"Of course I do." Eddie said and took the joint from Gareth when it was his turn. He looked at Bex.
"If you don't want to do this, you totally don't have to. I won't do it either so you won't be alone." Eddie said.
"I want to try it." Bex shrugged and gave him a smirk.
"Did not see that coming." Eddie chuckled. "Alright." He said and took a hit and then passed it to her.
"Okay. This is your first time so take it easy on the first hit. I take it you've never even smoked cigarettes before" Eddie said.
Bex shook her head and put the joint between her lips and inhaled a little just like Eddie advised. She held it for a few seconds, inhaling it deeper.
She handed the joint back to Blaire as she exhaled.
"Oh shit, not even a cough." Blaire grinned and raised an eyebrow. "I'm impressed."
They all passed the joint around for a few minutes before Bex finally started feeling it.
"Whoa.." She said.
"There she goes." Blaire chuckled.
"You good?" Eddie asked Bex.
"I'm great. I think." Bex laughed. "I've never felt so...light? Is that right?"
"Something like that." Eddie chuckled. "Don't worry, just..let things happen as they happen."
Bex smiled and leaned against his shoulder patiently waiting for her next turn. Her brother made it sound like marijuana was a dangerous drug, but she didn't feel that at all. She felt more relaxed than she had in years.
After about 20 minutes, everyone was feeling pretty good. There was a knock at the door.
"Thank fuck the pizza is here, I was about to start chewing on Waynes recliner." Blaire said. Gareth got up to answer the door and returned with the pizza after paying the delivery guy.
"What did you order?" Blaire asked narrowing her eyes skeptically at Gareth.
"Don't worry its just plain ol pepperoni this time because I didn't know what Bex liked and she was too busy oogling Eddie to tell me." Gareth turned to Bex and smirked.
Bex put her hand on her chest and gasped in faux offense.
"I will have you know that Rebecca Carver oogles no one." She said. Gareth shook his head and laughed as he opened the Pizza box.
Bex could have swore she heard a choir of angels as she looked down at the pizza. She didn't realize how hungry she was until she looked at the cheesy pepperoni goodness that was in front of her. Usually her mothers voice was in the back of her head telling her not to eat it, that it would destroy her diet and her figure, but her mothers voice had been shoved out of her head for the moment with the rest of the things that caused her to have anxiety.
"You okay Bex?" Eddie asked. "You look like you want to do terrible things to the pizza."
"I don't think I've ever been so hungry in my fucking life." Bex said, making everyone else in the room laugh.

Jason was setting the dinner table at home.
"Jason, will you go get your sister to come down for dinner?" Mrs Carver asked.
"Chrissy said she brought her home early from Cheer because she got sick. I doubt she is going to want to eat." Jason said.
"Okay, well can you at least go check on her for me?" Mrs Carver asked.
"Sure mom." Jason said and walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
Jason stopped in front of Bex's room and knocked on the door.
"Bex? Are you okay in there?" He asked.
There was no answer. He figured maybe she was asleep. He began to walk away and then stopped and looked back at her door. Something told him to open the door and check to make sure she was actually okay. He walked back to the door and knocked again.
"Bex? Are you okay?" He asked again. Again there was no answer.
"Bex I'm coming in." He said and opened the door.
Jason flipped the light switch and looked around at the empty room. His fists clenched at his sides, not only had Chrissy lied to him, he had no idea where his sister actually was. He didn't want to tell his parents because Bex had plenty of opportunity to rat him out for things that he did but she never did. He closed the door and walked down stairs.
"How is she?" Mrs. Carver asked.
"She's sleeping. We should probably just let her rest." Jason said and walked to the door to the basement. "I'm going to see if Blaire is hungry." He said and opened the door and walked down the steps and flipped the light on. The basement was also empty, and the window was open.
It could have been that Blaire was just doing her own thing..but she wouldn't have had to sneak out the window so it pretty much confirmed in his mind that her and Bex were together doing only God knew what knowing Blaire.
Jason flipped the light switch off and walked back up the stairs.
"Blaire must be out at a friend's house or something. So its just us tonight." Jason shrugged.
"Oh, okay. I'll leave some leftovers for her in the fridge incase shes hungry whenever she gets home." Mrs. Carver said and smiled and put a pan of freshly made lasagna in the middle of the table.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bex had eaten so much pizza she wasn't sure how she still felt hungry and how she didn't even feel sick...however she also felt like she could hear the grass growing outside so nothing really made any sort of sense right now, except for one thing. Eddie Munson. She felt so free around him, like she could be her true self and not feel the judging eyes of her brother and other friends at school.
Eddie plopped down on the sofa next to her with a box of honeycomb and held it out to her. Bex reached her hand in the box and grabbed a handful of it and shoved it into her mouth. She waited until she chewed and swallowed before speaking
"How am I still so hungry??" She asked and went back for another handful.
"Marijuana has this stuff in it, that that like... enhances the hormone in our bodies that tells us when we are hungry it's a bunch of science shit..but thats why." Eddie shrugged.
"That makes sense." Bex replied and smiled at him.
"So...what do you think of my world?" Eddie asked. "I know that it's very different from the rich, popular kid world but..it has its charm I think."
"Believe me, the rich, popular kid world is not as great as it looks from the outside." Bex said. "And so far, I'm really enjoying the world of Eddie." Bex smiled at him.
"Yeah?" Eddie asked and smiled. "What do you like about it?"
Bex smiled bigger and put her hand on the side of his face.
"Well.. to start, it has you in it." She said
Eddie shook his head and laughed a little.
"I don't get it." He said.
"What do you mean?" Bex asked.
"I don't understand how you can come from the same family as your asshole brother being as sweet as you are." Eddie said.
"Honestly I feel like my whole life I've been struggling to separate myself from my family's picture perfect image. Jason expects things handed to him, he expects people to just bow down to him because our family has money. I can't stand it." Bex said.
There was a frantic sounding knock on the door. Eddie raised an eyebrow.
"I'll be right back." He said and got up from the sofa and went to the door. He opened it, and Chrissy came running into the trailer.
"Chris whats wrong?" Bex asked and stood up and hurried over to her.
"You have to go home Bex. Your brother called me. He was really mad. He accused me of lying to him about taking you home, so I made it sound like you lied to me too and I had no idea where you were and he said he was going to go out looking for you, and you do not want him finding you here." Chrissy said, panicking.
"Oh shit." Bex sighed "Can you drive Blaire?" Bex asked all of them had been pretty high for the last couple of hours and she wasn't sure if Blaire would be able to drive.
"Honestly, I wouldn't trust it." Blaire said. "If Chrissy can drive, we can sneak back in through the window and I'll come get my truck tomorrow after school." Blaire said.
"Okay, I'll drive. But we have to go now." Chrissy said.
Bex sighed and turned to Eddie.
"I'm sorry. I have to go."
"Its fine," Eddie smiled.
"You sure?" Bex asked.
"Yeah." Eddie said and winked. "I get it." He said and kissed her on the cheek. "See you tomorrow. If I remember correctly we have a tutoring session at the library tomorrow afternoon."
"We do." Bex smiled. "See you then."
"See ya." Eddie said.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blaire climbed into the open window first.
"Theres a bit of a drop. Watch out for that." Blaire whispered.
"I can't see anything Blaire turn on the light." Bex hissed.
"Just give me your hands and I'll help you." Blaire insisted.
"Fine." Bex said and held her hands out. Blaire took her hands and started pulling gently to help her climb through the window.
It was a small window, in between two rose bushes so it was a very narrow space to try to climb in or out of.
"Blaire I'm stuck on the rose bush!" Bex whispered.
Blaire tugged on Bex's arms.
Bex yelped as she was pulled through the window.
"Oh shit!" Blaire gasped realizing she pulled to fast and Bex was toppling to the floor. She went to catch Bex but she couldn't see because the basement was dark. Bex landed on Blaire bringing them both toppling to the floor with a thud.
"Owch!" Blaire grumbled. The light switch flipped on and Bex and Blaire turned their heads watching Jason walk down the stairs.
"Where the hell have you been Bex?" Jason asked. "And what the hell are you wearing??"
"Blaire took me to my first concert at the Hideout." Bex said.
"You lied to Chrissy and made her take you home from Cheer because you said you were sick."
"So?" Bex asked. "You lie all the time."
"I do not. You're lucky I didn't rat you out to Mom and Dad."
"Bless you kind sir." Blaire said.
Bex laughed
Jason narrowed his eyes.
"I don't like what you are doing to my sister Nolan. Whatever this is, stop it.that's your only warning." He said and walked back up the stairs.
Blaire waited until the basement door closed.
"Ooo scary." Blaire said and wiggled her fingers.
Bex snickered. "Hey, you want a snack? I was going to microwave a bag of popcorn."
"Popcorn sounds good. You...uh wanna watch a movie?" Blaire asked.
"Sure." Bex smiled.
"Cool." Blaire said with a small smirk. "You may want to change your clothes before going up there in case your parents are up."
"Oh. Yeah. Thanks." Bex said and started stripping down. Blaire walked over and handed her some of her pajamas.
Bex changed her clothes. "I'll be right back" She said and walked up the stairs.
By the time Bex came back down the stairs Blaire had already picked out a movie and put it into the VCR.
Blaire said down and put the bowl of popcorn between them.
"So I kind of suck at this and if you tell anyone I'll kill you..but I kinda like that we are friends now." Blaire said awkwardly.
"Me too Blaire." Bex smiled.
