I swerved through the traffic in panic as her skin turned a deathly pale and as her lips turn blue. I sped up even though I did not officially have my license in state law but I can’t just let her bleed out. I propelled the car side ways as a shot went through the windshield.

I looked in the review mirror to see the goons following us I swore under my breath and stepped on the gas. I weaved in and out of the traffic as beeping and angry glares followed me.

Another shot appeared through the back window shattering it. I made a sharp left and could see that Brianna was thrown like a doll into the door. I frowned and took one of my hands off the wheel and pulled her back to the middle. Her skin was like ice and she didn’t seem to be breathing, but I can luckily still see the slight rising of her chest.

I looked behind to see the goon’s gaining. The fuel is quickly being used up. I slammed on the brakes and the goon’s cars passed me in confusion. I smirked and changed the gear and looked over my shoulder as I worked my way backwards through the traffic.

I think did a screeching circle and put it back on the gear it was originally on and zoomed away. I heard a small whimpered and looked next to me to see Brianna holding to dear life. I slammed the gas once more and knowing that I lost the idiots I went to the safe house. I ditched the car, still running and scooped the frail girl in my arms running into the empty house.

I placed her on a table and ripped her pants of and immediately started on getting the bullet out. I found it and through it over my shoulder as I closed her wound up. Blood covered me as I finished and cleansed her wound.

I applied a cream that made her whimper but I knew it was helping cleanse it from germs. I put her on a bed in a spare room and I walked around the house checking for bugs or any other goon’s that found this spot. I sighed in relief and made my way back to Brianna.

He ragged breath greeted me as I ran to her. I put my ear on her chest as I heard her heart pitifully beating slowly. Her heart stopped and so did her breathing. I immediately went into action. Pumping her chest and forcing breath into her hoping she will pull through.

I repeatedly did this for twenty minutes until a sharp intake of breath. I collapsed down beside her wiping the sweat that formed on my brow. This girl needs protecting. More than anyone else, I have to get her to Shark Tooth before they find her.

The most trusted agent in my eyes, my teacher. I sighed and looked at my bloody clothes. I looked at her perfect face as she sleeps and takes in her rattled breaths. I went to the bathroom and showered, washing her blood while thinking.

What happens after I complete the mission? Will she still be in danger? Most likely yes, she will be seen as a weak opponent to help take me down. I wish I was normal. I wish I didn’t be so naive when I was younger, I wish I was a normal teenage boy who had crush’s, listened to music and lived a carefree life. But choices were made and I made my own path and I cannot drag her into this.

I turned of the water and changed into my cameo pants and a black shirt and converse as I walked into the room where she slept. I lay down silently next to her and closed my eyes. I cannot fully sleep, I haven’t since I was eight.

But I seemed to have drifted off when I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. My eyes snapped open to see Brianna wrapped protectively in my arms. Her brilliant eyes staring at me in confusion. I coughed awkwardly and let go and put her down gently.

“Cody?” she croaked “Y-yeah?” what was this girl doing to me? She looked at me oddly “Where are my pants?” I froze and looked at her in shock, wouldn’t she want to know where she was? Or even why I was holding her when she woke?

“I took the bullet out” I looked at her features and saw realization “Oh my god!” she shrieked and pulled the blankets around, not the reaction I wanted “You took my pants off?! I don’t even know you! You could be a perv!” she shrieked and tried to wriggle away from me.

My hand held her down as I moved from beside her to on top of her “I did not look, besides I was busy trying not to let you die” her face went red and I stared down in confusion, why was she red? Embarrassment for concluding I was looking at her?

“You can get off now” she whispered and I realized the position we were in. I slipped off her and immediately made my way to the corner of the room. She tried to sit up but immediately fell back down “Brianna?” “Hmmm? What? Oh, im fine. Just… just dizzy” and with that she fell asleep.

BRIANNA

I woke up to a distressed voice and violent shaking. I shot up head butting the person shaking me. I winced as my eyes fell to Cody rapidly walking around the room as I felt my lump on my head.

“We have to get out now! They found us!” I looked blankly at him waiting for an explanation. Then it all clicked “Oh!” I crawled to the end of the bed and became dizzy. I fell off the bed and face planted on the floor.

Cody’s arms wrapping around me and helped me up “Put these on” he put a pair of my shorts into my hand and walked out of the room, I obliged not even noticing the shattering sound of window’s braking.

Cody ran into the room and swept me up as he ran. I caught site of ninja-looking guys and gasped as they ran at us. Cody just ran into a room, straight towards a window “STOP!” I screamed as he collided with the window.

I screamed as the glass shards passed my skin, lightly scraping it while we feel to the ground. I screamed as he landed and ran straight away, he must be a damn ninja! Oh wait he was a secret agent, how can I forget?

I mentally faced palmed as he ran, I in his arms and clinging to his neck while he ran not even panting. I closed my mouth and cut the scream short as I saw him run into a forest, we better not get lost! I survived a damn bullet, I don’t want to die by getting lost in the forest!

He ran for ten minutes, I could barely hear the faint footsteps following us in the distance as he put me down gently inside a bush as I looked at him questioningly “I’ll be back, don’t move or make a sound” before I could reject his stupid instruction he ran, A double snakes hole.

I smirked but got submerged into darkness as the sun set and I rolled into a ball inside of a forest, inside a bush. Hehe, that’s a bit of a complex answer, eh?

Where have you been Brianna? Oh inside a forest, inside a bush while being hunted down by crazy ninja’s, I had been shot and I was putting all my hopes on some crazy teenager that thinks he’s a secret agent working for the government… I can see the white room and awesome jacket they’ll give me.

I froze in mid thought as the sound of running feet came from the distance, coming towards me. Two. I think, one light and one that is obviously fat by hearing his running. It stopped right in front of me “Where is she? She was with the boy” a voice rasped as he panted.

“Must be around here somewhere” another voice panted as I slapped a hand over my mouth trying not to scream or whimper. They ran off into another direction. I let out a breath as I heard the running footsteps run off into the distance.

I relaxed my body and waited for Cody. Then I was yanked out of the bush I screeched as the hand clasped itself onto my mouth and squeezed my throat as I looked into the brown-eyed evil monkey man that is with his side kick. I gripped his hands, digging my nails into them triyng to pry them off “FJDNSKJSLANDKD XLKSNKL!” I screamed into his hands he gave me a half toothed smile as I shudder at his missing teeth “Looky here Project 3, a girly” his breath was as if something died in his mouth and he celebrated with more dead things in his mouth. I whimpered as Project 3, the side kick punched my stomach and I curled my back in pain as tears filled my eyes “Weak thing isn’t she?” he spat at me.

I gasped as the sweaty hand loosened my throat and he let me breath through my nose “I’ll let you go if you promise not to scream” I nodded into his hand as I was cuffed behind my back and he let my mouth free… guess what I did? Scream my bloody head off “BLOODY MURDER! VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHT’S! RA-!” I screamed and a hand replaced itself on my throat and I was propelled into a nearby tree. My head painfully smacked into the tree and I squeezed my eyes shut as a fist hit my stomach once more.

I clutched my stomach and groaned as a ragged was lodged into my mouth “You’re a pretty thing, no wonder he fancy’s you” what the fa-duck?

I was sent another blow to me and it connected to my cheek. Then one gripped onto my leg. I screamed into my rag as tears burst free and my eyes opened to see the tooth-less man gripping my wound “Hurt’s does it?” I nodded, let go. I pleaded into his mind telepathically.

Yet he must not have power’s because he gripped tighter and I screamed into my rag and dug my nails into the palm of my hands and I crumpled to the ground.

I was kicked in the head and I immediately noticed blood drip from my nose. I shuddered and hoped it wasn’t broken.

They removed the rag and replaced it with a mouth gag and blindfolded me. I was yanked onto my legs but fell as I was standing. A grunt and a fist connected to my face “Get up” I whimpered as I was pulled up and I shakily followed the man pulling my tied hands as they pulled me in an unknown direction.

Then I heard the unmistakable sound of a car unlocking, I froze and pulled backwards, smacking into tooth-less and getting out of grip of Project 3. I heard a startled yell and I ran blinded. My leg throbbed as I stumbled forward but I kept going until I hit a tree... at least I think I hit a tree. I fell onto my back and groaned as my forehead had a sharp pain. Their footsteps were un-even as they ran towards me. I couldn’t care less as the pain from my leg and new injury’s exploded and mushed into one new enormous pain as I screamed into my gag as I arched my back in pain as they touched me and pulled my up. Then my stomach was crushed, I’m on one of their shoulders. I limply hung their wallowing in pain as it flared through my blood as I slipped in and out of consciousness “Boss, we got her” I mildly noted in my brain as it buzzed with pain and tiredness. I felt the blood rush to my head… that was probably why. I was thrown roughly onto a hard surface and wetness came from my nose soaked my neck and hair as it stuck itself onto my skin.

A car’s engine roared to life and I was thrown into a wall. I whimpered as I was thrown back and forth, tied and unable to help being thrown like a rag doll. I let them. Then the car came to a screeching stop and I was propelled into another wall. My head hit painfully into the wall and I slipped down the wall slowly and onto the ground. My head making a thumping sound as I fell into darkness. Well I was already in darkness, ugh! Im so confusing! I frowned, I’m alive. I’m not knocked out. It just hurt’s to much to be asleep I guess.

Arms wrapped around me gently “Girl, are you okay?” a women whispered into my ear I shook my head, no. I heard her laugh “At least she’s a fighter”

I whimpered into my gag as I felt the ground underneath me disappear. I was placed onto something soft “I will help you, trust me” I nodded into darkness as I felt my gag being ripped off. I gasped for breath and shuddered as blood filed my mouth. My blind fold was removed and so was my hand cuff’s I looked at the young girl with fiery red hair and blue eyes as she stopped my nose bleeding and pulled out a needle. I HATE NEEDLES!

I jumped back on what seemed to be a bed inside of a car “Shh” she touched my face but I flinched and she roughly gripped my arm, pushing the needle in. I screeched and thrashed around as the pain seem to multiply then it went numb. I stopped and looked at the beautiful girl in front of me as she smiled down at me in a motherly way “The needle was a drug to help with the pain” she whispered “Drug?” I chocked out “Yes but the good type” my shoulder’s sagged into the bed as my head spinned “Cody?” “Agent zero?” I guess? I nodded weakly “I’ll take you to him” she left and the car started.

I was drifting off to sleep when the car stopped and the doors was ripped open. Cody looked down at me with relief “Where was she?” “Some guy’s were taking off in a van when I stopped them” “I thought I told you to stay” he whispered and touched my bloodied hair, that reminds me. I must be covered in blood! I frowned at him “She was beatened, gagged and tied. I don’t think she got a choice in the matter the women replied in a ‘matter of factly’ way.

Cody frowned and swooped me up “Thank you Agent Twelve” “No problameo agent ze-rio” she smirked at her mad rhyming skills “Nice rhyming skills” I whispered as Cody walked past and I pictured him face palming if his hands weren’t occupied.

Agent Twelve smiled at me “I like her! She’s awesome!” "We gotta go now, farewell Agent Twelve” “Bye Agent Zero! Bye girlie!” her happy voice sang to us while Cody walked away “Bye Agent Twelve!” I sang back as I huddled into Cody’s chest feeling drowsy.

“Go to sleep Brianna” “I don’t wanna” I pouted “Just go to sleep”  “But im not tired” I whispered as my eyes closed by themselves and I felt his chest rumble, arrogant. “Night Brianna” “Night Cody” I whispered back and fell asleep in his arms.
