(this is in correlation with the show but really has nothing to do with the episode i'm referring to. I obviously had to adapt the episodes to coincide with elise being a main character.)
"That makes sense. I'm Elise Romano," I said awkwardly. This buff, tall, scary guy was my cousin. My vision went dark again and I squinted to see him better.
"Heidi's daughter," He replied with some sort of recognition.
"I'm looking for Scott Mccall. Have you seen him?"
"I'm looking for him too. There are hunters in these woods that want us dead," Derek explained. "He can't control the shift yet and if they find him before we do, we will have a lot of trouble on our hands."
"You were the one watching us at the party," I said suddenly.
"I needed to make sure my suspicions were true. The alpha did choose a weak idiot as the new pack member though," Derek chuckled darkly.
"I smelled blood before, I just don't know where," I said as I looked around.
"Hunters probably used it to drag us out here," He said.
I sensed a deep twang of pain from behind me and then a scream echoed throughout the trees.
"Scott," I mumbled as I took off towards him. I was next to him in less than a second and saw he was shot in the arm.
Derek ran next to me and yanked the arrow out of Scott's arm. I could sense other people around us and their emotions were definitely high on adrenaline.
"They've got us surrounded," I said as I saw everything brightly again. I could make out at least five people hiding in bushes and behind trees.
"Eli, you shouldn't be here," Scott panted and winced in pain.
"Well I am, so deal with it," I said. The hunters were planning on attacking us the second we moved.
"Dude, they're going to attack us," I said as I backed towards Derek and Scott.
"Can you see a clear path?" Derek asked me.
"Either up the tree or between those two guys with these stick looking thingies," I nodded towards the bushes next to a boulder.
"How do you feel about jumping off a cliff?" He asked as he threw Scott over his shoulder.
"Eh," I shrugged.
We took off at a sprint towards the bushes and I could see bullets flying past us in an attempt to kill us. When I saw Stiles again, I was going to punch him for sending me into the woods alone.
I felt a sting on my shoulder but ignored it as we jumped down the steep part of the hill.
No one was chasing us now, I couldn't feel it anymore.
We tumbled down the hill and stopped at the bottom. I groaned and looked at my shoulder.
"Oh no," I said as my sweatshirt was soaked in blood. "I think I got shot." I felt my shoulder and winced in pain as I pulled my hand back with sticky liquid on it.
"Come on. We need to get out of here," Derek said as he led us down a path. "Scott will heal but I don't know about you."
"I've felt worse pain," I tried to shrug but then remembered there's probably a bullet in my shoulder.
We walked through the darkness for a while and I couldn't help but feel weak and in pain.
"So what exactly are you?" Derek asked. "You're definitely not a werewolf."
"I don't know. Ever since I moved here, I can do things that I normally wouldn't do before. I can see halos, fly, have prophecy dreams, float things, manipulate and sense emotions, run really fast, oh, and I have night vision." I replied as I thought about the last two weeks. "I also knocked out my friend's dad by looking at him."
"You're a mythical being that doesn't know what she is," He sighed.
"Well I am related to you. I'm like your half cousin or something. I've just never met you before," I explained.
"I know your mother. She mentioned she had a daughter. I'd never thought we'd meet this way."
"Ah yes. Meeting in the woods at night while being attacked. What a family reunion," I winced.
"So you have or haven't stalked me in the past week?" Scott groaned.
"Well yes and no. I wanted to see if the alpha would come in contact with you and I needed to make sure you weren't killing people," Darek explained. "I need to know who's been killing and changing pubescent children into werewolves."
I snorted because honestly that was facts. Scott might be strong but he was also not too smart and really still looked like a 12 year old.
"I could beat you up," Scott said sleepily.
We were walking and I didn't know what time it was. I could just tell my mom I slept at Stiles or Scott's house. Or my mom could be working late. And I still had to get a bullet out of my shoulder.
"Derek, how much blood can a person lose?" I said as I began to feel really weak. My vision became spotty and I tumbled forward.
"Shoot," Derek said as he caught me before I hit the ground.
-----
I was in another dream. A vision like state.
The black wolf approached me. We were both in the woods and she was next to a tree.
"Take care of him for me," She communicated telepathically with me. "Derek's the key to everything. You are the lock that needs to be opened. Unleash your powers to save everyone."
I tried to approach her but I was stuck in place.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"The great leader. The great protector," She nodded. "Talia Hale."
-----
I woke up in what looked like an old building. "What the hell?" I said as I tried to sit up.
"Don't move," Derek's voice said to me.
Dizziness set in again and I laid back down. The dream I just had was pushed to the back of my mind as pain flowed through my body.
"What happened?" I asked as I closed my eyes.
"Well, you lost a shit ton of blood," Derek explained. "Then your body started to glow and float and it brought me to my house. Scott was healed after you passed out so he went home and said if anything happened to you that he would, and I quote, find me and ruin my life."
"My mom is going to be so pissed at me," I said as sunlight shone on my face.
"It's about time I visited Aunt Heidi again. She'll understand. Trust me." Derek said.
