in his final moments, aiden tried to tell his brother that he just wanted to be a better man for you.

"i can't let you die, aiden." ethan said, his heart breaking as he saw his brother dying right in front of him.

"it's okay... i'll be okay... just promise me one thing?" aiden pleaded.

"anything."

"tell y/n i love her... i just wanted to be a better person for her." he said, his voice was quieter now as his eyes began to flicker closed.

"i will... i promise. and you know i love you, right?" ethan said, holding his brother close to him.

"i know... i love you too." aiden said, his blood caked lips smiling slightly before the light in his eyes disappeared leaving ethan with a missing part forever.
