Liam was showing off when he saw you sitting with your friends on the bleachers, having had a crush on you for a while but he was always too scared to approach you. Unbeknownst to him, you thought he was cute and liked him as well.

"Y/N, Dunbar is totally checking you out," one of your friends whispered.

Your eyes lifted from your textbook to see Liam on the field, and he was indeed staring at you.

When your eyes met he didn't look away as soon as it happened, instead he smiled and continued practicing, but instead with renewed vigor. He didn't miss a single shot, eyes flickering to you constantly.

It didn't take long for you to realise that he was showing off, for you. Especially when he locked eyes with you, a flush to his cheeks but he didn't break eye contact, smiling blindingly.

"Remember when you told me that he had a crush on me?"

"Yeah, a crush that almost everybody but you can see."

"Well, I guess you can say I'm a believer now."
