Rose (skipping forward)

"She wasn't just pretty. She was otherworldly and vaguely threatening."

I felt myself being lowered down, my head pounding, my heart thumping loudly. I rose my hand to my head and groaned, opening my eyes to be met by a face of a man who I do not know. "Who–who are you?" I asked, trying to not sound afraid.

"I'm a bit peckish." He smirked, his face vamping out which made me jump back, letting out a loud squeak.

"Trevor! Control yourself." A woman with short hair and an accent came into the room, yelling at the man who turned his face back to human.

"Buzz kill." He muttered, leaving the room and that is when I saw Elena sitting beside me, her head rolled back. I panicked and grabbed her face in my hands, her eyes slowly opening.

"Spencer?" I nodded, a sigh escaping me.

"It's okay, Elena." I gave her a soft smile, glancing at the woman. "Who are you and what do you want with us?" I turned around fully, standing up now as I faced the woman who looked at Elena with wide eyes.

"Oh my god, you look just like her." She gasped out, then look at me. "You look like her too."

"But we're not." Elena told her, standing up beside me. "Please, whatever you–"

"Be quiet!" I jumped a little, my heart pounding against my chest.

"But I'm not Katherine. My name is Elena Gilbert and this is my cousin, Spencer Stilinski; you don't have to do this."

"I know who you are, I said be quiet." The woman told her, gettin angry.

"What do you want?" The woman slapped Elena very hard, making her fall on the couch, unconscious. I gasped, gently shaking Elena, my breathing picking up.

"I want you to be quiet."

🔅🔅🔅

"How are the girls?" I heard the woman ask as Elena finally started to come back to the land of the living.

"Doppleicious is still passes out, the other one is taking care of her."

"You didn't touch them, did you?"

"Give me some credit. So, did you call him?" I furrowed my eyebrows. Who was "him"?

"No, I called one of his contacts. You know how this works."

"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" Elijah? Who is Elijah?

"They say he got it."

"Wonderful and what?" I looked to Elena and put my finger to my lips, telling her to keep quiet as I grabbed her hand and we started to slowly make it upstairs.

"So that's it Trevor. He either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait."

"Look, it's not too late. We can leave it here. We don't have to go through with this." I saw the fear in Trevor's eyes as we started to walk pass the vampires. He sounded scared.

"I'm sick of running!" She emphasizes on running, making me wonder why they were running and why this Elijah guy scared them so much.

"Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying."

"Elijah's old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free." Elena stepped on a squeaky board, making me wince and close my eyes lightly.
"You two!" I jumped, turning to face the angry vampires. The woman walked up to us, standing only a few inches away from us. "There's nothing around here from miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understand?"

"Who's Elijah?" I questioned, acting braver than I actually was.

"He's your worst nightmare."

"Actually, my worse nightmare is–" I stopped at the look I was getting. "Never mind..."

🔅🔅🔅

Elena and I walked into the room in which the woman was in, alone. "Why are we here?"

"You keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them." The woman mused, turning on a light and walked over to a painting.

"Why won't you?"

"That's another one." She spoke, picking up the painting and covered the window up. My mouth formed an O as I realized that she nor Trevor had a daylight ring.

"You got us, okay? It's not like we can go anywhere. The least you can do is tell us what you want with us." I told her, crossing my arms, I was more curious and confused more than I was scared now.

"I personally want nothing; I'm just a delivery service."

"Actually, you do want something." The woman turned to face me. "I overheard that you have been running from something, and from what I can tell, you want to stop running." Her face turned into what I would call, impressed. "But anyway, who are you delivering us to? Elijah?"

"Two points for the eavesdroppers." She mused, ignoring my question.

"Who is he? Is he a vampire?" Elena asked, her stubbornness and curiosity seeping through.

"He's one of the vampires, the originals." I frowned, not knowing that term. What did "originals" mean. Was it some sort of code?

"What do you mean, the originals?" I questioned, my brain telling me to get information about this. It's something new to learn and my brain loves to learn new things.

"Again with the questions." She sighed, turning to face me and Elena. "Haven't the Salvatore's been teaching you vampire history?"

"So you know Stefan and Damon?" I asked, my mind going straight to Damon who have actually grown on me lately. He always somehow finds me when something bad happens and saves me. I guess I owe him a lot for that. I mean, almost a week ago, Katherine threatened me and tried to kill me if it weren't for Damon swooping in.

"I know of them. A hundred years back, a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan. She said he was one of the good ones. I'm more a sucker for the bad boys though but I digress." She explained to us, smiling lightly as she looked at me, seeming to know what I was thinking about.

"Who are the originals?"

"Trevor and I have been running for 500 years. We're tired, we want it over. We're using you to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess."

"But why us?"

"Because you are a Petrova doppelganger. You're the key into breaking the curse." She told Elena then looked at me. "And you, well, you just got in the way but since you also look like a doppelgänger, it's a good thing you got in the way." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"The curse? The sun and the moon curse?" Elena questioned, taking my hand in hers.

"Oh, you do know your history."

"What do you mean Elena's the key?" I asked, remembering what she had said. "The moonstone is what breaks the curse."

"No, the moonstone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks it."

"The sacrifice?" My eyes were wide as I asked the question. Sacrifice. Sacrifice. I wracked my brain, trying to remember all the books I have read that said anything about a sacrifice, but nothing came up.

"The blood of the doppelganger." She told us, looking at us with confused eyes. "You are the doppelganger." She looked at Elena. "Which means, in order to break the curse you are the one who has to die."

🔅🔅🔅

"Tell us more." Elena demanded.

"Captivity has made them pushy, uh?" Trevor mused as he walked into the room. "What do you want to know doppelicious and doppelicious' cousin?"

"Who were you running from?"

"The originals." He told us simply.

"Yeah, she said that. What does it mean?" I questioned angrily. I wanted more than these little riddles that they were giving us. I want to know why my cousin was to die and why this Elijah person was so scary.

"The first family, the old world. Rose and I pissed them off." Rose cleared her throat, giving Trevor a look. "Correction, I pissed them off, Rose had my back and for over half a millennium, they wanted us dead."

"What did you do?"

"He made the same mistake others did: he trusted Katerina Petrova."

"Katherine." I hissed out, hating that crazy bitch with everything in me.

"The one and only, the first Petrova Doppelgänger."

"I helped her to escape her fate and now I've, sorry, we've been locked ever since." Trevor told us and I nodded, actually feeling bad for them. It's not Trevor's fault that he was stupid enough to believe whatever came out of Katherine's mouth.

"Which is why we're not gonna make the same mistake again."

🔅🔅🔅

I sat on the couch, huffing. I was tired and angry. Something crumbled under my butt, I sat up and grabbed whatever it was, finding paper. It read: Stefan and Damon are coming for you both -B. I smiled and showed Elena the paper before crumbling it back up and hid it in the couch.

🔅🔅🔅

There was a knock at the door, making my heart skip a beat. "He's here! This was a mistake."

"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." Rose tried to calm him down all the while looking scared too.

"No!" I jumped as his voice carried through the room. "He wants me dead, Rose!"

"He wants her more." Rose pointed at Elena.

"I can't do this. You give them to him, he let's you leave but I need to get out of here." Rose grabbed him, breathing deeply.

"Hey! What are we?"

"We're family, forever." There was another knock on the door.

"You're scared." Elena acknowledged.

"Stay here with them and don't make a sound." Rose walked out of the room, leaving Trevor with us.

She came back moments later, a man, a very attractive looking man coming up behind her. He paused, looking down at Elena and I for a few seconds, giving me enough time to analyze him. He had dark brown hair, and as he was too far away to tell, I couldn't see what color his eyes were but for some reason, my mind was telling me brown. He was wearing a suit, telling me that he wanted to be seen as noble or he just likes to look formal all the time. He zoomed down to where he stood in front of Elena, his face lowering to her neck. I froze, thinking he would bite her but that worry washed away as he backed away from her. "Human. It's impossible." He turned to look at me. "Hello there."

🔅🔅🔅

"We have a long journey head of us. We should be going." Elijah said, walking towards us.

"Please, don't let him take us." Elena pleaded, almost in tears.

"One last piece of business and we're done." Elijah spoke, walking towards Trevor.

"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly, very sorry." Trevor told him, also in tears. He was terrified and he had a good reason to be.

"Oh no, your apologies are not necessary."

"Yes, yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina and I failed you."

"Oh yes you are the guilty one and Rose–" He glanced back at Rose. "–helped you because she was loyal to you and that now I honor. Where was your loyalty?"

"I beg your forgiveness."

"So granted." I smiled lightly but it was gone as soon as Elijah's cut Trevor's head off with his hand. I let out a small scream, covering my mouth as I have never saw something like that before. Of course, I have seen hearts being ripped out and snapped necks, but nothing like that.

"You...!" Rose cried out, clutching her stomach.

"Don't, Rose, now that you are free." Elijah told her then turned to face Elena and I. "Come."

"What about the moonstone?" Elena asked which made me groan.

"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah looked between me and Elena.

"I know that you need it and I know where it is."

"Yes."

"I can help you get it."

"Tell me where it is." Elijah demanded.

"It doesn't work that way." Elena told him, shaking her head.

"Are you negotiating with me?" He mused, looking back at Rose.

"It's the first I heard of it with her." Rose told him. "Now, her–" She looked at me. "–on the other hand." He walked to Elena and tried to compel her but it didn't work. He looked down at her necklace as he realized something.

"What is this vervein doing around here?" He snatched the necklace from her neck and threw it. He grabbed her head, making me hold my breath and compelled her. "Tell me where the moonstone is."

"In the tomb, underneath the church ruins."

"What is it doing there?"

"It's with Katherine." I sighed, shaking my head. Why would you only wear a vervain necklace and not take vervain? I have both, thanks to Damon.

"Interesting." There was a noise from upstairs.

"What is that?"

"I don't know." Rose told him.

"Who else is in this house?"

"I don't know." Elijah grabbed both mine and Elena's arm, dragging us up the stairs into the main room in front of the door. Vampires, most likely Damon and Stefan, were speeding back and forth. Elijah threw Elena and I into Rose.

"Rose."

"I don't know who it is."

"Up here." The voice of Stefan spoke from atop the stairs. Elijah zoomed up the stairs with his super speed. "Down here." Damon's voice said from downstairs. Elijah zoomed downstairs. He received an arrow in his hand and quickly removed it. Rose and I were grabbed by Damon who had his hands on our mouths.

"Excuse me. To who may be concern, you're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat me. You can't. Do you hear that?" I heard the sound of wood breaking. "I repeat, you cannot beat me. So I want the girls, I'm gonna count to 3 or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?" Elena and I appeared at the top of the stairs.

"We'll come with you but don't our friends, they just wanted to help us out." I told him, hiding a grenade in my hand. Elijah zoomed in front of us, making me jump lightly. His eyes held a lot of knowledge, knowledge I always wanted.

"What game are you playing with me?" Without thinking, I threw the vervein bomb in his face, and it exploded. His skin burned but he healed immediately. He went to grab us but Stefan arrived and shot him with a compressed air weapon. Stefan upon realizing it wasn't fazing Elijah, he three the weapon and barreled into Elijah. They fell in the stairs. Elijah got up almost immediately but Stefan stayed on the floor. He went towards Stefan but Damon arrived and staked Elijah with a coat rack. He pushed Elijah against the door. Elijah was pinned on the door, dead. Rose left as soon as she saw that and Damon went to go after her.

"Just let her go." I told him, walking down the stairs, smiling at him. He smiled back as I wrapped my arms around his waist, sighing in relief. He wrapped his arms around my back and I heard a light chuckle escape him.

"You okay?" He asked, worry in his voice.

"Yup." I nodded, stepping back. "Awe, is Dammy worried for my safety?"

"Of course i'm worried about my best friends safety."

"Best friend?" I chuckled. "You wish you big moron." I playfully punched his shoulder. "Now, let's go home."

So, as you can tell, I skipped a couple episodes so it'll get to Klaus faster because I can't wait for Spencer to meet him. Also, Damon and her are obviously on good terms now, i'll be making them brotp. I hope you liked it!

So, a few people have suggested that Spencer should get pregnant with Klaus' baby before she get's turned into a vampire. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions, ideas or comments? I would love to hear what you think I should do with this book.
